[RP] The Inn of Peace - IoP (Open to all)

"Oh!" he hummed, nodding with a smile. "Of course, Az, don't be silly...you'll put it to the best use there is."

Plucking it up from the endtable, he handed it over, brow furrowing at the final words from his friend's lips. "..Max is in the hospital? When did this happen? No, no...just bring it back when you get home Sol, don't worry. You know how to use it?"

Azana blinked before it dawned on her...who had called Gren about this? No one, apparently. "Not terribly long ago...she's the only person I know who could get into the hospital for having too much energy. From what I could tell, she had a high dose of a powerful stimulant in her system, one the hospital couldn't identify. Caused some cardiac trouble, but she's stable and recovering."

She took a moment to let that sink in, looking over the older model. "...erm..."

"Neither of us has had the opportunity," he said at last, taking the explanation from his wife. "That's why we were a little hesitant to come knocking on your door. We're so accustomed to our own means of transportation...it just feels awkward to ask for a ride."

"Oh...well, um...I guess I should visit." he said, if a bit hesitantly. He still wasn't fond of the place, but solidarity was solidarity. At the note that he was needed to pilot, he chuckled, nodding. "I understand...tell me where we're going, and grab an arm."

Sosol raised an eyebrow, looking down to the dish in his hands. With a sigh of defeat, he pulled off the oven mitts and took Gren's arm, the meal now hovering in mid-air. "Ah, well...it was good while it lasted."

Azana took his arm rather solemnly, gripping the flowers in her other hand. "First stop...St. Francis Cathedral."

"You got it." he hummed, punching in the location and vanishing in a flash, startling Fritz from his snooze.

Violet walked downstairs to the main room, shaking slightly as she made her way to the kitchen for something cold. She thought she'd be used to it by now...aside for her time with her, they came on a cycle. Luckily, they coincided with school breaks, so she could just stay home, but they never dulled. Vivid, wild, fever dreams without the fever...and while they weren't necessarily terrifying images, they still somehow filled her with dread. What was worse, they came with a pulling, a call to...well, she wasn't entirely sure.

Victoria was packing her things and tidying up her room. Someone had been nice enough to deliver the letter...she couldn't believe it if it hadn't been for John's seal and signature. She had her life and livelihood back. No harm other than that already done. She guessed it was probably dusty...lots of clean-up, but it was hers again. And home! How she had missed it!

"All because of them...I must show my gratitude."

In the kitchen, humming a showtune to himself, stood Adam, cutting things up for a fruit salad. His song paused as the kitchen threshold was passed, a smile blooming on his sunny face as he spotted Violet.

"Well, hi there! Would you like some fruit salad?"  

[Azana Brown]

"O-oh...!" Violet was shaken from her thoughts and that subtle but fading call by Adam's cheerful offer. "Um, yes please..." She answered with a nod. "Thank you, Adam."

Victoria sighed, not having much to provide in terms of gratitude. At the store, however, there was plenty to work with...she'd simply have to return later with her gifts. That wasn't so bad, was it...? They'd understand; after all, they all seemed very nice...

"No problem..." hummed the blond, apparently none the wiser for her troubles. "Doesn't make sense not to offer, while I'm preparing it...is there anything here you don't like?"

Watermelon, cantelope, grapes, strawberry, blueberry, blackberry, bananas, mango, kiwi! He certainly had a spread!

Violet gasped, looking it over. "Goodness..! You've been so busy...!" She smiled, looking at the bits of each and shaking her head at the question. How dare she mention any dislikes? Not that she had any, but he had put work into this, that was clear...

"It all looks delicious."

Victoria walked downstairs with a small suitcase. She hadn't brought much with her from the manor, other than what she had been wearing, so this was all the result of a single shopping trip. It felt a little weird to leave...this way seemed to have a way to make people stick around. It was just so...homey.

"I have work to do," she reminded herself. "And I can visit whenever I want..."

"I went to the Farmer's Market today...I can't take full credit." he laughed, continuing his chopping at her approval. "Everything looked so nice today, I guess my appetite got the better of me. Still, you cant get a much healthier meal, huh?"  

[Azana Brown]

"Of course not!" Violet marveled at it for a moment, pulling out her sketchbook and opening up to-- no, that page wasn't blank. She shuddered slightly, turning to a new one. It was an odd still life, honestly, but with so many beautiful colors and Adam's enthusiasm behind them, what else was she to do?

"Never shop hungry...or at least that's what Mom tells me."

Victoria turned for one last look to the Inn, wiping away a single tear. "Goodbye," she whispered, closing the door behind her and beginning the long trip back home.

"Heh...well, she's right." he agreed, glancing up at the sound of the door shutting. Was someone going out? He didn't know anyone else was around...maybe someone was heading to work.

He opened the window. "Good-bye!"

Victoria paused, turning behind her to see the person waving out the window. "Oh...!" She put on her best smile and waved in return as she retreated to the path. She'd hail a cab...and get straight to work. She had a lot to make!

"I see why, now," she laughed, plucking up a piece and taking a bite, her troublesome dreams all but forgotten in the moment. "At least I get to enjoy the benefits of your binge."

Adam smiled, leaning back to his work. "Victoria's going to work looks like...I'm glad to see her bouncing back."

Laughing a bit at Violet's giggle, Adam looked a touch sheepish. "Well, anyone's welcome to...and if they don't, the wildlife will, or my compost heap. Nothing goes to waste on my watch!"

Smiling, he tossed all of the ingredients together with a pair of pronged spoons. "Would you get us some bowls, please?"
