"Victoria's old room is pretty quiet," Azana answered, pulling out a shiny, relatively unworn key. "I doubt we'd scare her off, considering the weapons against the wall, but staying here does take a little adjustment."
Max flopped back with a sigh. She had plenty of information, but not the kind she wanted. There was plenty of reports, notes, plans...but that was dull and might go over David's head. She wasn't sure if genius ran in the family or not. What she wanted was something vivid, something to really bring her data to life.
But the only way to get that was destroyed, wasn't it...? I watched Mike smash it. She sighed, racking her brain. How else could she...?
Sosol appeared in the main room as he threw back his hood. He had a couple bags on each arm and one more now hovering in front of him. "The joys of alternative travel...I don't have to deal with the cold outside." He smiled, lifting the hovering bag slightly. "We were running low on some spices..."

"A couple of the last farmers' markets for the year," he answered with a beaming smile. "Not much in terms of green vegetables, but some lovely potatoes, carrots, apples, and some fantastic meats. I stopped by a spice store on the way back. Oh, and Az, there's a brownie for you in that bag. You know the one." He set down the bags on the bar with a sigh of relief. Even with psychokinesis, sometimes you just wanted to do it the old fashioned way.
Azana smirked knowingly. "And this is one of the myriad reasons why I love you," she stole a kiss and pulled out a small paper bag. She didn't get them often, but they were phenomenal, and apparently Sol never forgot that.
"Ugh...I can't ask," She decided at last. "Not after last time...he's probably still ticked. And nobody--" She froze, lips curling into a devious smile as she pulled out her phone and began to text.
Oy, Remy, wanna bounce some ideas with you.

I'm thinkin' 'bout home movies, she replied in text. Problem is, I don't have any footage... She wasn't sure if Remy would catch her drift. Ty was a very private individual, and she doubted there was anything out there. If she was really lucky, there was some footage from the weddings, but that wouldn't prove anything except those moves she taught him.
Sosol took up a bag again to help out, pausing momentarily to wave kindly at the stranger. While his eyes were hidden behind sunglasses, he still exuded a welcoming and friendly demeanor. He followed Gren into the kitchen, only then asking about the newcomer.
"A new face this late in the season...wonder if she'll stay a while," he mused aloud, producing a bundle of carrots for refrigeration.
Azana fished out a leaf-shaped keychain for the new key and set it at the elf's table. "This room is free, and in a quiet part of the hallways. I think you'll like it," she explained, still growing a little accustomed to the idea of innkeeping. "What brings you all the way out here...?"
JIM-BO was now vacuuming ashes from around the fireplace. No one had started one, yet, but it was only a matter of time. The days grew colder, or so its weather station said. Users needed that warmth.

Sariel gave a small wave in return to the man who took up the bags and walked with the innkeeper to an adjacent room. She could tell he was a gentle man by the way he carried himself and smiled. Once he was out of site, his lover, if Sariel wasn't interpreting that incorrectly, approached her with a key, attached to a small leaf trinket. She smiled.
"Thank you very much," she said, taking the key and slipping it into a pouch. She removed an adjacent pouch and set it in her lap, untying the drawstrings, "ah, a quest of sorts, I'm looking for my father. But mostly to explore, I love travelling and experiencing new places. I've only recently entered these lands, I might stay through the cold season. If the room stays available for that long. Speaking of, do you require pay for days in advance or weeks? You take gold right?"
She opened up the drawstring bag to reveal a sizable amount of gold, silver and copper pieces, along with a few strange gemstones only about the size of an almond that appeared clear at first, but revealed many fractals within that reflected different colors.
