Isaac had caught the parts about Clementine beating up a boy and getting in trouble, but he didn't say anything about it in return. For one reason, he was certain that Natasha had already handled the matter, and for another, it really wasn't his place to intrude. Clementine's question caught him off guard. "Well..." he replied after a moment of thought, "I used to be her boss, but your mother is getting a promotion at work, and so I'm not her boss anymore, but I am her friend. That's not saying that we weren't friends before. It's just that now we can be better friends!" After a pause, he added, "It's complicated." He didn't think that Clementine was old enough to understand certain adult concepts, such as why a boss/employee romance is generally considered to be a bad thing. Furthermore, he was not quite yet ready to admit that he and Natasha were dating now, although in a practical sense they were. Isaac had eaten lunch with Natasha twice, had taken Natasha and Clementine out to dinner and a movie once, and this was the second time that Isaac has had Natasha come to his condo for pizza. Not to mention the fact that he was taking Natasha and Clementine to his parents' home for the Krellman Family Thanksgiving Celebration. That being so, about the only thing that Isaac and Natasha hadn't done was make it official that they are dating. Of course at the rate that they were going, they will not need to make it official because it will be obvious to everyone that they are dating.

"Actually, now is the perfect time for you to call," Chandra replied. At the same time she glanced at the clock to estimate how much longer it will be until Louis got back from taking Timothy to his mother's home. Once he had returned, they will be so occupied with what she has planned that answering the phone will be a major inconvenience, to say the least. Chandra went on to say, "Timothy is really excited about having Clementine come to visit. He was talking about Saturday, which is tomorrow. I was wondering if early tomorrow afternoon will be a good time for you and Clementine."

Clementine continued to chew on her piece of pizza as she nodded slowly. She swallowed then responded, "I'm the same as mommy! I made my first friend today and mommy has one friend too!" She had one finger out to display the number one. Clementine didn't have much of a filter but it's also the fact that she was a child and didn't know what some things meant. So she didn't realize she just revealed that her mom, Natasha, was friendless (she had acquaintances who were single women who liked to party so Natasha rarely hangs out with them).

"Clementine is equally excited, that time sounds perfect actually. I have a pen and paper with me so i can write down your address." Natasha jotted down the address once Chandra recited it and made sure to put it away in her pocket. After a very small talk about the kids being excited about the play date Natasha wished her a goodnight and also added that she'd call ahead to let them know they were on their way the next day. She then hung up and made her way back over to the table.

"So what are you two talking about?" She smiled and took her seat as she put her phone away.

"You have a good night too. I'll tell Timothy that Clementine is coming here tomorrow," Chandra replied to Natasha before hanging up. She took a moment to spray on some of her favorite perfume and went to wait for Louis in the living room. All that was needed was his return.


It didn't take Isaac long to figure out that he was Natasha's one friend, although he found that to be surprising. He would have thought that she would have more friends than just him. Again he wasn't certain about what he should say, and so he didn't say anything. When Natasha rejoined them and asked what they were talking about, he replied, "Clementine was telling me about her day in day care, and then we talked a little about friends."


When Louis entered his home, he found Chandra waiting for him with two glasses of wine in her hands, and she was wearing a black lace negligee that left very little to the imagination. The negligee must be new because he would definitely remember it if she had worn it before. "Are we celebrating something?" he asked while finding it difficult to lift his eyes from Chandra's body. "Your first day at your new job, of course!" Chandra replied, as if it was the most obvious thing in the world, "Cheers!" "Cheers," Louis said in return. They clinked their glasses together and sipped the wine. "I know that we agreed that we won't make a significant purchase without talking about it first, but I hope you don't mind if I splurged a little," Chandra said, referring to the negligee. Louis wasn't about to complain, and so he replied, "No problem." "You should know that I've been taking a fertility drug for about a month now," Chandra went on to say, "Also, I'm pretty sure that I'm ovulating as we speak, and you know what that means, right?" "Ah... sure!" Louis stated. To be honest, it will be a while before he fully comprehended what she was saying, but he did understand that he was about to get laid, and that was all that he needed to know for the moment. No wonder that Chandra had gone to the trouble of arranging for Timothy to stay at his mother's home for a while that evening. "So... what do you say?" Chandra prompted with an inviting smile. "I say... why are we still talking?" Louis asked. "Good question," Chandra said in return before mashing her lips against his and giving him a deeply passionate kiss. Of course that was only the very beginning.

"Oh I see," Natasha nodded and figured Clementine told him about her new friend considering how excited she was when she picked her up from the daycare. She smiled and looked at Clementine and decided to give her the good news. "Actually, I just called Timothy's mom and set up a play date for tomorrow. How does that sound?"

Clementine's face lit up as she smiled and nodded excitedly. Her mouth was full of pizza so she knew not to talk while eating and so she showed her excitement by clapping and wiggling in her seat as much as possible as well as giving two thumbs up.

Natasha chuckled and truly felt blessed that Clementine would have someone to play and bond with that isn't her own mother or grandmother. It was a beautiful moment she would have shed a tear but she was in Isaac's company and didn't want to make things awkward.

She glanced over at Isaac, "So if you're ready we can move on to the judging. And by that I mean me seeing how good of a singer you are." She chuckled lightly and added, "I can sing a little something too. In fact I can go first if you're not ready?"

While she waited for his response she began to collect her empty cup as well as Clementines as well as her plate since she and Clem were done eating. She wasn't sure if Isaac was so she would wait to see if he'd either offer to take the dirty plates and cups or if he'd hand it to her. Of course knowing him he'd want to take them from her and dispose of them himself.

((C: Sorry about the delay. redface Right now Chandra is making a determined effort to get pregnant again. Since Louis and Chandra are busy putting the sofa to use in a way that it's not exactly intended for, we'll leave them to their fun for now, but I will keep you updated. Of course if it works, they'll need to think of a way to explain things to Timothy. biggrin ))

Since the meal was pretty much over with, Isaac gave the remote to his entertainment center to Natasha and suggested, "Why don't you find a pay-per-view movie that Clementine will like to watch while we are doing our audition thing? I'll just dash into the other room and print out the sheet music for us." Having said that, he went to his computer. It was still on the website that he had found that will give him the sheet music for all of the songs that he had on his list. All that he had to do was call up the correct song and print. It occurred to him then that he will need to be the one to actually order the movie that Clementine wanted to see, but this will take him only a couple minutes, and Clementine might not decide on a movie right away. When Isaac returned to the living room, he had printed out two copies of 'Islands in the Stream'. "Here is a copy of the music for you," he said as he gave it to Natasha, "And you certainly can go first if you wish." He would have let her sing first regardless of whether or not he was ready.

Natasha took the remote and sat with Clementine as they scrolled through the movie options. Clementine wasn't sure what she wanted to watch and it did indeed take some time. Finally she saw they were showing Despicable Me 3 and announced that's the one she wanted to watch. Natasha glanced over to see Isaac return as she smiled and handed him the remote so he could order the movie. She then took the sheets of music and looked at them, feeling a bit nervous since the only person she's ever sang in front of was Clementine and Clementines dead beat dad.

Once the movie started, Natasha asked if there was a quieter area for them to rehearse and what not. She followed him to whatever area he felt would be the quietest. She fiddled through her phone to get the song on YouTube, but a kareoke version so they didn't have to try and sing over the artists.


"Sure, ladies first after all," She chuckled and tried to shake off her nerves but began to sing her part. Of course she sounded different than Dolly and certainly with a younger voice.

After making sure that the movie was playing for Clementine, Isaac escorted Natasha to his computer room, since they would have the quiet that they needed and it wouldn't be appropriate to take Natasha to his bedroom. The computer room was clean and tidy, while the only potentially embarrassing thing was the large poster of his favorite Japanese model Ai Shinozaki that adorned one of the walls. If Natasha had looked on Isaac's computer, she would have found a sub-folder in Isaac's Photos folder that held a couple thousand digital photos of Ai, which Isaac had found online and had saved over the past couple years. It shouldn't be too difficult to figure out that one of the main reasons why Ai was such a favorite of Isaac's was because she was so well-endowed. The room also served as Isaac's exercise room. Before Natasha had begun to sing her part, he pointed at the exercise bike in the room and said, "That's my newest toy. It's a Peloton. In addition to being an exercise bike, it connects to the internet so that I can get riding lessons from online riding instructors, and I can join online bike rides and bike races in places around the world with other people who are online with their Pelatons. Theoretically, I can ride the entire Tour de France course without leaving my home." Isaac flushed slightly when he realized that he was showing off. He listened attentively while Natasha sang her part. "That was very good!" he said when she was finished, and then he suggested, "After I sing my part, why don't we sing together, to hear how that sounds?"

Natasha was pretty impressed with the equipment he used to exercise. She didn't know such a thing existed. The most she exercised was running around trying to catch a hyper Clementine or randomly dancing when cooking. She had noticed the poster of the model but wasn't all too bothered by it considering that Isaac was a man after all. She then took her cue to begin to sing, flushing lightly when he said that it was very good. She was just glad she didn't mess up but now it was time to see if he could sing or had potential.

"Yeah that's a good idea. Harmonizing can be a bit tricky so we should definitely start practicing. I'm patient so I wont yell at you to get things right," she chuckled, teasing him a bit.

Isaac cleared his throat before he started singing. He was a bit awkward at first, but was doing well after the first couple lines. In truth, Isaac had an excellent singing voice. He just needed a bunch of practicing for him to perform well. Maybe not well enough for 'The Voice' or some other televised talent competition, but well enough to win a company-sponsored talent show, especially if he performed a duet with Natasha, who could probably win on her own. When he was finished, he remarked, "That was easy enough. Now both of us from the top."

"Wow, i'm honestly impressed. Of course neither of us are professionals but I think we got a shot of making this work. Some practice and we should be able to convince everyone that we're great singers," She chuckled lightly and nodded when he suggested starting from the top and singing together this time. She was a bit nervous but something about singing was always calming for her. Odd as it sounded but it was a hobby. Granted she only sang to herself or to Clementine. She would do her best to get this right as she made sure to tell Isaac when he messed up and she encouraged him that if he heard her mess up that he should let her know. She couldn't help but fall into a quick day dream. In her fantasies they were singing together and it became a close intimate moment, intimate enough for the two to kiss. Of course she did her best to snap out of it and focus on reality.

Once they had finished singing the song together, Isaac nodded in approval and said, "That sounded pretty good to me. Once the talent show has been approved and scheduled, we will know how much time we have to prepare for our performance." Isaac was assuming that the talent show will be approved for the simple reason that his father liked the idea, and so his father will now do whatever he needed to in order to get the talent show approved. Isaac then asked, "Do you think we should practice the song another time, or shall we call it good for now and watch the rest of the movie with Clementine?"

"It didn't sound too bad, I think with enough practice we'll impress a lot of people," she smiled and glanced at the lyrics for a moment before looking back at him. Though it felt like a dream come true that they would be singing together at the talent show, if approved, she was slightly worried that it would cause a bit more harassment from others. Natasha didn't feel it was necessary to ever report any of the women for bullying since Natasha wasn't bothered by it. So long as it never crossed the line it was fine. She could bare it. Crossing the line would be physical actions or if anyone bad mouthed her daughter. When it came to Clementine...well Natasha was almost certain she'd go to jail for punching a b***h in the mouth.

She quickly answered his question, "I think we should hold off on any practice till we know if the talent show will be approved. We're already at a big advantage knowing your father will probably okay it." She chuckled lightly and started to head for the door.

"She's probably not far into the movie, lets go enjoy it too," she then walked out of the room and headed to the living room. She sat down next to Clementine, kissing the top of her head before cuddling with her and watching the movie with her.

Isaac followed Natasha, but before going to the living room, he made a side trip to the kitchen to fix some microwave popcorn for them to munch on as they watched the movie. Once the popcorn had finished popping, he put it in a bowl and went to the living room. After sitting next to Natasha, he gave the bowl of popcorn to her to hold, so that Clementine will be able to reach it without any trouble. Having done that, Isaac settled back to enjoy the movie.

Natasha set the bowl on her lap and watched Clementine dunk her little hand into the bowl and stuff her mouth with popcorn.
She chuckled lightly and ate a couple herself. She watched though she couldn't help but doze off. Natasha blinked, trying to stay awake but she was pretty tired.
She worked and took care of a child all on her own after all so she was pretty sleep deprived. Still she tried her best to stay awake. Sadly she lost her fight and her head lulled back and she slept midway into the movie, her head falling to the side, resting on Isaac's shoulder.

It was a bit of a surprise for Isaac when Natasha fell asleep on his shoulder. He couldn't remember that happening on a date before, but he didn't mind. If anything, he should feel flattered that Natasha felt that comfortable around him. Being a gentleman, Isaac didn't move at all until the movie ended, so that he wouldn't wake her up.
