Yeah. I've really got no problem with it at the moment because I already got the pictures I wanted scanned. They're shitty quality though :/

Yeah, but I think it's the scanner that makes them pixelly. I'm not sure how you go about fixing that.

increase the resolution settings before you scan the picture, plus make sure its a jpg file type to get the best picture and that should do it
