~Updated Manga Release thread and all the threads that affected:
Baby and Me, Beauty Pop, Boys Over Flowers, Fushigi Yûgi: Genbu Kaiden, Honey Hunt, La Corda d'Oro, Red River, Vampire Knight.
~Went through and checked the release dates for all the upcoming volumes, since it looks like some of the titles that were originally supposed to be released today have been delayed. All the dates should be correct now.
~Added the cover image for the May 09 issue in it's thread in the magazine subforum. Updated the thread a little more, but more will be coming Fri/Sat when I get my issue.
~Added title art to Rasetsu thread.

~There will be a Viz Media panel at Anime Expo this Friday from 3:30 to 4:20. It's not just about Shojo Beat, but I'm guessing they'll mention it. And they'll most likely announce new licenses. biggrin

~First off, I made this cute little image above to use for this. ;] I based it off the image from the SB site news page. I'll be using the original one from the site for use when there's SB news to report here.
~Secondly, did a whole massive update on the release thread in the manga sub-forum. It now includes all known release dates for a series, not just the next volume's release date. I also added all the known volumes of a series, even if they don't have a release date yet. For example, Kaze Hikaru has at least 25 volumes in Japan, so I listed them all, even though most of them don't have official release dates yet here in the US.
~Added an image for the July (aka final) issue of the magazine in it's official thread.
~Added title art to Black Bird thread, and updated it's status in Japan.
~Added volume 13 cover to S.A thread.
~Updated both the magazine cover threads with the June and July issues.
~Added cover of the first NANA anime box set to the NANA anime thread. It will have episodes 1-11.5 and be released on September 8, 2009.

~Four new titles were announced at AX yesterday along with the release dates for their first volumes! : D
Crown of Love (February 2, 2010) by: Yun Kouga; complete in Japan with 4 volumes
Cactus Secret (March 2, 2010) by: Nana Haruta; complete in Japan with 4 volumes
Stepping on Roses (April 6, 2010) by: Rinko Ueda; still running in Japan with 4 volumes so far
Flower in a Storm (May 4, 2010) by: Shigeyoshi Takagi; complete in Japan with 2 volumes
~honey and clover anime first DVD box set will be available on September 22, 2009; it will have the first 13 episodes of the series.


~Added threads for Crown of Love, Cactus Secret, Stepping on Roses, and Flower in a Storm.
~Updated the release thread in the manga subforum with the new series, and for the July releases (which don't technically come out until next Tuesday, but are probably available in most places already).

~Also in the release thread, updated the anime part with NANA and honey and clover box set info; since we don't know exactly how many box sets there will be, I just guessed based on the number of episodes there are in the series and how many episodes were included in the first sets of each.

"The North American anime distributor Viz Media is offering both the NANA and Honey and Clover anime series in Apple's American and Canadian iTunes Stores. The digital downloads of both series come with English dubbing. The first episode of Honey and Clover is currently free. NANA is exclusive to the iTunes Store until August 31, and a NANA season pass includes the anime's "recap" episode #11.5.

Viz publishes the original manga inspirations for both anime titles. Viz will also release both anime in DVD box sets. The first NANA DVD box set will ship on September 9, while the first Honey and Clover DVD box set will ship on Septmber 22. Another distributor, Funimation, is putting both series in its Funimation Anime video-on-demand content on the Comcast Cable service."

Viz Media will be holding 2 panels at Comic Con International on July 24th; one is focused on only Shonen Jump and the second one will be about the rest of their anime and manga properties.

They're likely to talk a lot about their new Shonen Sunday imprint at their non-Shonen Jump panel (since they just announced it a few days ago, and are planning on unveiling new licenses for it at CC), but I'm sure they'll at least say a few things about Shojo Beat, so I'll keep an eye out for news from the site (since I live nowhere near San Diego, and the tickets are all sold out already).
