Sofia smiled and nodded glad to hear that Debra was going to stay a bit longer though she soon heard Alex call out as usual. Sighing she walked over to the ladder and headed down but waited for Debra to come down as well. Once she was down she let the ladder go back and she lead her new found friend out into the living room and to the kitchen.Sofia did not speak a word to Alex since she still could not confront him since she still did have to thank him for saving her but she would do so when Debra left. She offered the girl to sit at the table as she would prepare dinner for three today rather than two like usual. Today she figured it would be a good idea to make some lasagna so that tomorrow there would be leftovers to take for lunch though for herself of course not Alex, he had to take his own lunch if he wanted it.

Sofia walked to the refrigerator and took out all the things she needed, then moved to the pantry to take out the other things and from there she spent her time talking with Debra while preparing the meal.

"Would you like me to help?" Debra inquired as she watched Sofia gather the food together, "I don't even pretend to know how to cook, but I can follow instructions when I feel like it."

Alex pulled his attention away from the TV long enough to glance at Sofia and her guest as they walked from the attic to the kitchen. That was when Alex learned that Sofia's guest was none other than the goth girl that he and Greg had seen at school. While it was still a bit surprising that Sofia had found a new friend, and so quickly at that, Alex had noticed that goth girl's taste in clothing was similar to Sofia's. He could hear them talking in the kitchen, but they weren't speaking loud enough for him to understand them. Eventually Alex's curiosity got the better of him, and instead of watching the movie, he went to stand at the entrance to the kitchen, where he could see what was going on. Perhaps he might be able to figure out why Sofia had latched onto goth girl, or was it the other way around?

"That would be nice actually, I really just need someone to cut the mushrooms and shred the cheese," she smiled and certainly accepted Debra's help, something Alex never offered when she was making dinner for him. They continued to speak about different things, mainly about her art work and clothing as well since they did share that in common after all. Then, Sofia said, "By the way, if Alex and his friends mess with you let me know, even if it may not bug you I certainly don't want to see them annoying you. I'll make him starve if he bothers you," she chuckled and looked at her with a smile though she was serious when she said that he would make him starve if he picked on Debra. Sofia didn't like people bullying others but since she was the main target there was no one else who would be picked on, but now that Debra was here she was sure that they would mess with her and she would not stand for that, the same went for Aeron.

"Ordinarily I would prefer to take care of my problems by myself, but I'll let you know if Alex bothers me. You can get back at him better than I can,"" Debra said in return. She got to work on cutting the mushrooms. While she had said that she wasn't good at cooking, it was clear that she knew how to use a knife. "I've been thinking about my plan to take over as the most hated girl in the school. Step one, I'll be your very best friend in the world and rub it in everyone's face, including your husband's. That will take some of the heat off of you, and everyone will know that if they mess with you, they'll have to deal with me. Step two, I'll beat down a couple of the more popular girls in the school. That bimbo cheerleader who was hassling you is probably a good person to start with. Is she like the head cheerleader? I hope so because that will be even better. Step three... ah... I'm still working on that."

Alex arrived at the entrance to the kitchen just in time to hear goth girl's plan for becoming the most hated girl in the school. After snorting in amusement, he called out loudly, "This is a first! I'm never met a girl who actually wants to be hated that much. The honesty is kind of refreshing. Oh, and if the cheerleader that you mentioned was Brandy, then yes, that's just who you should start with. I can even arrange for an audience if you like."

Sofia nodded at all the steps Debra would take to be hated though she was still unsure about that whole idea. No one really wants to be hated, this was probably her trying to shield herself from the world because she felt like no one understood or even gave a s**t. Deep down she sighed and understood why Debra was the way she was and so Sofia would simply focus on perhaps opening her up a bit more and trying to help her out and see that there are some people who care about her, like her grandmother. The kitchen was silent for a moment before she chuckled and added, "Well step three can perhaps be helping me with this marriage I'm trapped in. If I can some how break it off then everyone will probably be happy and ignore me again therefore they can focus more on hating you? I don't know but if you want you can try and help me with that." She smiled and chuckled knowing Debra would probably laugh a bit at that. Sofia certainly didn't know Alex was listening to their conversation but it didn't matter since it wasn't like she was talking s**t about him like he did to her.

When she heard Alex's voice she jumped a bit, startled that he had spoken so suddenly. She frowned a bit and figured he heard everything they were talking about. Sighing she just focused on dinner and didn't say a word. It was hard to look at Alex let alone talk to him since he did make her uncomfortable at times and other reasons she did not want to think about.

Instead of feeling insulted that Sofia wanted out of their marriage, which was a sentiment that he shared, Alex said, "I really don't see how she can help. If you couldn't talk your parents into letting us annul the marriage, and I couldn't talk my parents into letting us do it, how is she going to convince anyone? We're pretty much stuck with each other 'til death due us part." Now that he had given his opinion, he added, "I'm going to be watching TV. Let me know when dinner is ready."

"You might be surprised by how influential that I can be!"" Debra retorted sternly, "And you really don't deserve to be her husband, since it's clear that you are totally clueless about what it takes to be a good husband." When Alex said that he was going to watch TV, she waved her hand dismissively as she said, "That's right! Go back and vegetate in the living room! We don't need you anyway!" As soon as he was gone, Debra quietly said to Sofia, "I've got an idea, but it's pretty extreme, and you probably won't like it, but I'll tell you what it is if you're interested."

As usual Alex enjoyed opening that smart mouth of his but Sofia simply worked on building the lasagna in the pan. She glanced at Debra smiling a bit as she nodded, "I'd like to hear what your plan is. Killing him would be fine." Sofia had a serious expression for a moment but she chuckled and shook her head since she was only kidding after all, she wasn't that much of a horrible person and of course she wouldn't want Debra to commit such a sin. Once the lasagna was in the oven Sofia worked on the salad and she decided to make some ice tea to drink with the meal. Every now and then she would glance over to the living room where Alex sat watching T.V. If only there was some way of changing his attitude, perhaps it would be easier living with him and maybe then coming home wouldn't make her feel just as lonely as she felt like going to school. Since Aeron rarely went to school she didn't have anyone to talk to and so all that loneliness and sorrow always consumed her though she did her best not to express it anywhere unless it was bad. But with Debra as her new friend maybe things would work out for the better.

"We'll save your idea as a last resort," Debra stated with a smirk, and she went on to say, "My idea is a simple one, and a fairly common occurrence, which will add to the credibility. I'll get your husband to sleep with me, and you catch us in the act and divorce him for adultery. I mean, the back-stabbing husband sleeping with his wife's best friend happens so often it's practically a cliche."

((OOC: I've been thinking about a potentially life-changing plot twist for Alex, if you don't object, but we'll have to wait until the football game on Friday before I can do it. Here's a hint. Alex takes great pride in being the starting quarterback, but what if he wasn't anymore?))

Sofia nodded but sighed shaking her head, "You see I actually told my parents that Alex was the type of guy that would sleep around with any girl despite the fact that we're married. They said they knew that and didn't care, therefore I don't think you're plan will work all that much. To be honest being married is something I don't really care about, it's just how it's affecting my life at school that bugs me. If people ignored me rather than bullied me then I would be going about my life the same before I even married him. If anything he wants to end this marriage more than me because I have stated before that I don't care as long as I can live my life the way I want it. It's not like I'm going to go out and man hunt since I'm the type of person that is fine living alone for the rest of their life not needing someone to love. I suppose I learned that from my parents." She chuckled and finished the salad and iced tea right before the oven beeped that the lasagna was done. She opened it and took it out and let it cool down for a couple minutes.

{OOC: Sounds like a plan :3}

Debra listened to what Sofia had to say, and then she replied, "You know, that was probably a bad idea anyway. First of all, I would like my first time to be kind of a special occasion with someone special, as if I'll ever find the right guy, and second, even if I got your husband to use protection, there's still a very slight chance that I might end up with something that I don't want. Besides, I wouldn't divorce my husband if I caught him cheating on me. That would be letting him off easy when I could stay married to him and make the rest of his life a living hell. Now that would be an appropriate dose of payback." Now that the lasagna was finished, Debra said, "Just tell me where to find the dishes and I'll set the table for you." An interesting notion crossed her mind just then, and she lowered her voice as she asked, "I realize that this is totally none of my business and you don't have to answer if you'd rather not, but... you haven't done 'it' yet, have you?"

Sofia pointed at the cabinet by the sink, "The dishes are up there and thank you for offering." She pulled out a knife and began to cut up the lasagna and took out some dressings so that Debra had a choice of what she wanted on her salad since Sofia knew what Alex always got she set that by his plate. Sofia looked at Debra and shook her head, "Trust me, we haven't, like I'd give him the satisfaction. Not to mention that he asked but I was sure to set him straight. I'd rather die then dare sleep with him." She placed a piece of lasagna on each plate that Debra set. She then looked over at the living room and called out to Alex, "Food is done!"

"More power to you!" Debra said while holding out her hand to do a fist bump, "That's your choice and your privilege, and if he doesn't like it, he can go lock himself in the bathroom with a girlie magazine or get 'happy' with a blow-up doll." Once the table had been set, Debra sat down and waited for Alex to arrive.
