To look for it, I follow the path to the distant star
Until I reach the end of the rainbow-colored sky.

Ikki straitened his tie as Thomas giggled a bit. Which caused him to look up at the boy as he spoke. Saying that he was cute while looking sleepy. Ikki didn't know how to react towards that so he smiled. Suddenly feeling Thomas crashing into his hip as the boy hug him while laughing. Moving his hand onto Thomas's head as he shifted his hair gently. "You're cute when your happy." he returned the kind comment as he looked down at the boy. His bubbly personality was nice to be around.

"My favorite food is, Fruit and pancakes. Pancakes with fruit in them." he said with a silly smile as his brain was not quite awake yet. What they were about to eat however did sound really good and was sure it would taste great but never as good as his own cooking. "I'm ready." his voice kind as he removed his hand from the boys head and followed him to the door.

Come morning, Jester was ready to do anything but wake up. However, a couple good swats to the rump had him darn near awake. He whined softly, rolling away to stretch out his too thin body. With a sigh, his eyes fluttered open and he looked back over to Kio. "Good morning." He mumbled, rubbing at his eyes with the back of his hands.

He yawned, his fangs catching the early morning light. He sat up, squinting his silver eyes at the clock, and groaned. "Why is breakfast so early?" He scratched at his hair, most of him wanting to flop backwards and go back to sleep. Jester curled back up against Kio. He didn't want to get up.

That is until he smelled breakfast.

His stomach protested loudly. Too many weeks of not enough food made the smell of anything edible smell absolutely delectable. He placed a hand over his stomach, as if it would mute the sound.

"Because it's good to start the day early. And when it comes time for bed, you will appreciate it more. But it's not like you can't nap. You're a pet after all, not one of my servants." Kio mumbled in answer to his question.

Kio looked over at Jester and ran his fingers over the collar before trailing them up to Jester's chin. "You can stay in bed and sleep longer or you can come down now. If you stay and sleep longer, you don't get any food for the rest of the day." Kio said before turning and sliding out of bed. He let Jester think about what he wanted to do while he got dressed in the closet.

He pulled on some black pants, that fit him rather nicely and a black and red vest, black sock and his black fur boots. Around his waist he put his knife belt and then hung his whip in one of the vacant snaps. He stepped out of the closet to see if Jester had moved. "Any of the clothes in the drawers are yours." He told his pet before going to the bathroom to wash his face and hands.

After that he was headed for the door.



Thomas took Ikki's hand and lead him down the hallway to the dinning room. "We all eat breakfast together, for lunch master is rarely home. But with his new pet he might be home more. But for dinner, master eats first and then we eat. But he leaves plenty for us to have dinner on. He's not heartless, just a little....um....." Thomas searched for a nice word. "medieval in his ways." That wasn't much of an explanation, but that was the best Thomas could do without saying his master was at times cruel to some.

In the dining hall the table was set. Master and his pet and one end of the long table and everyone else at the other. "You're soft." Thomas said rubbing his thumb along the side of Ikki's hand. He smiled as he looked at their hands intertwined.

Alice passed by, stopped, looked at their hands and then walked on with the large bowl of fruit in her hands. "That was fast. You're such a slut sometimes. And you don't even know it." Alice mumbled.

Thomas frowned, having heard her. He didn't know what a slut was, but he knew she wasn't paying him a compliment. Thomas looked at their hands and then up at Ikki. "Is holding your hand wrong? I don't understand."

Jester lifted his chin as Kio tickled it. He supposed that maybe a nap later could be arranged, since his stomach was so desperate for any sort of food lately. His master was already down the hall by the time Jester hauled himself out of bed and began looking through the drawers.

Today, it looked like jeans, a tighter fitting long sleeved shirt in a lovely forest green, and sock free as usual. He found various other things to wear, like a belt and an anklet. He trotted into the bathroom and pulled his fingers through his hair. Going to bed with his hair wet normally meant looking like hell in the morning, but somehow, Jester thought his hair was actually fairly decent. He stuck with the silver collar. He traced the metal plate with his finger briefly before darting downstairs for breakfast.

And there it was. That... feeling from last night. The dragon concluded that it had to be the night guest. He soon found his way to the dining room, pleased to see his pillow hadn't moved from last night. His pace slowed to a walk and he dropped onto the soft seat. He hugged his knees to his chest. "It smells really good." He commented as he looked around.

Where was this.. night guest?

Kio entered the dinning hall and looked around. He saw the frown on Thomas' face as he looked up at their house guest. He noticed that their hands were joined, which he didn't mind. What he did mind was that his little one wasn't smiling. He immediately looked at Alice, who quickly looked away.

Kio decided that he would deal with her later.



Thomas looked over to see his master come in. "Good morning master." The other chimed in. "Good morning everyone."

Kio looked at the guest. "I hope you slept well." He asked as Jester came into the room.

Thomas lead Ikki down the hallway and towards the dinning room. His back bend over slightly since the child was half his size and holding his hand. He spoke of the master against as he sighed softly. 'So this man also has a pet.' he didn't like this ideological of owning people are play things but this world was curl and sick.

They made it to the dinning hall to see the table already set for breakfast. The master and his pet said on one end while everyone else would sit on the other. Ikki had no problem with this. The less interaction he had with them the better. His eyes shifted down towards Thomas as he made a comment about his hand being sofa while running his thumb along the side of his hand. Their hands intertwined as he nodded. "Your soft too." he said as his pink and blue eyes looked around the dinning hall once more.

Smiling at one another a female walked by with a bowl of fruit. Did she just call Thomas a slut? His expression harden as this had to be Alice. "Not at all. She's just jealous." he said with a softer look in his eyes now. The master now finally entered along with his pet.. who gave him a strange feeling but Ikki shook it off. "I did." he responded properly as he remained beside Thomas.

"I"m glad." Kio said and headed for his seat. He didn't want to keep the food waiting any longer than he already had. He looked at the clock on the wall and he was five minutes late in starting.

Alice came out with the eggs and kept her eyes from looking at her master as she set down his bowl and then retreated to the servants end with their bowl.

Kio fixed Jester's plate first and set it down for him before pouring him a glass of orange juice and a glass of water.



The long table wasn't so large that any of the servants would have to yell down to their master. And Thomas was seriously thinking about asking his master to let Ikki stay.

But first Thomas lead Ikki down to the other end of the table. He was smiling again after being reassured that Alice had only been jealous of him and that the name she'd called him didn't apply. Thomas was so happy to have Ikki there eating with them, that he started humming while he ate and didn't realize he was doing it.

Kio looked up and smiled before returning to eating.

Part ways through the meal, Thomas spoke up. "Master, can Ikki stay? Please."

Ikki nodded in the direction of the master of the house as he was lead towards the other end of the table to eat with Thomas. Sitting down they all eat their food in a calm and quite manner as Ikki didn't even notice the pet male at the masters side and why would he? He wasn't even speaking towards him so there was no reason to spend time thinking on it though he did raise questions in Ikki's mind. He got a odd feeling from his still.

Almost done with these food Thomas spoke out towards the master. About him staying. Ikki froze for a moment and looked at Thomas with eyes of disapproval but if he simple said 'no' there would be no problem. Yes, and Ikki would refuse.

Kio looked up from his glass of juice that he had just drank down and looked at Thomas. He could see just how happy Thomas was to have this stranger in the house. Kio was pensive for a long moment before he spoke. "The question should be 'does Mr. Ikki wish to stay?'."

Thomas' head whipped around to look at Ikki. His hopeful teal-green eyes searched Ikki's eyes as he placed a little hand on Ikki's arm. "Please say you want to stay. Please stay, Mr. Ikki." Thomas said softly.

Ikki looked at Thomas who begged for him to stay. A sigh escaped his pale lips as he leaned down to speak to Thomas in hushed tones. "Would that make you happy?" Ikki asked as he seemed very serious at the moment. The most he's been since he arrived here. "and if I did. What would I do?" he also asked the young boy seeing if he could give him answers. Hoping that the Master would not be offended by his private conservation with the boy or if he even noticed.

Thomas shook his yes head as he smiled big and took Ikki's hand. "I'd be very, berry happy." Thomas said. But then the question of what would he do a job came up. "We'll find you something to do. You can help the cook, you can help me. I'm the taxidermist/butcher. You can help clean. It is a big house. You can help master with his businesses and that paperwork...I mean if he lets you help him. Just don't leave me." Thomas said bringing Ikki's hand to his smiling cheek.


Kio cleared his throat, still waiting as his dark eyes were fixed on the pair.

Ikki sighed as he listened to Thomas and his reasons for staying. His blue and pink eyes looked up at the Master of the house now as he noticed softly. His eyes returned to Thomas and smiled. "Sure." he said his voice soft as he turned back to the little food he had left as he began to drink some of the tea that was out in front of him. Where else would he go really? He was on the run and if his master even came by he would run. That's what he would have to do. Just run and keep running. He would never go back to that place.

Thomas squealed with happiness and looked at his master for approval. The air seeming to fill with bubbling energy as the boy got overly excited.

"Fine. But he's your responsibility. If he doesn't pull his weight around the house and help, it'll be you I lash." Not even for a second did Thomas think that Ikki wouldn't help. "Yes master." Thomas said hugging Ikki's arm to him. Thomas looked up at Ikki. "You're all mine." He said showing all his teeth in a smile.

The other two servants didn't say anything thing, the cook and the house maid. They were surprised their master gave in so easily. However, Alice disapproved; as was apparent on her face. "You're such a brat.....getting whatever you want." She said through gritted teeth.

"Why are you being so mean?" Thomas asked softly as he looked at her. "Because you disgust me." Thomas gasped in complete shock as if she'd reached across the table and hit him.

Kio was up so fast from his seat that he was down at Alice's chair before she knew it. Kio took a handful of her hair, almost picking her up out of the chair. "Come." He said angrily. If there was one thing he wouldn't tolerate was anyone talking to Thomas that way.

Kio lead Alice out of the room and disappeared from their sights.

Ikki couldn't help but smile at Thomas's sudden burst of energy into the room. He wouldn't let the boy suffer on his behalf how horrible would that be. Hugging onto his arm Ikki patted the top of his head with his free hand. "Hmm." he hummed happily. Though no one seemed to have a problem with it one did. Alice. Calling Thomas a brat for getting his way. Watching the scene unfold before him as Alice was dragged away by the Master. "It's Okay Thomas." Ikki patted him on the head again hoping that he wasn't to hurt by that ugly women's words.
