Erik looked at his watch and then grabbed the letter, sticking it back in his jacket pocket. "The horses must be getting restless by now, we better go give them some exercise." Erik said, getting up to leave. Rikard and Soren fallowed close behind as they all left the mess hall.

Ari smiled as she faced her patients. She would wipe the blood from their bodies and brush their hair, she talked to them. She never wanted them to be in anymore pain then they had to be. And sadly there was only so much she could do.

When the three guys reached their horses' stables, Erik was the first in, almost running up to his own horse. "Hello, Moon Dancer!" He said happier then ever, stroking the horse softly.
Erik's horse was a big, 4 year old black stallion with a white patch in the center of his forehead and socks on his two front ankles. The horse got his name from from his markings. Rikard was patting his horse on the neck when he scoffed at Erik. "Such a lame name for a horse." Rikard commented harshly.
"Like Alsvin is any better." Erik barked back, defending his horse's name.
Rikard gasped. "Don't listen to him!" he said babyishly to his horse, which was a 3 year old, solid light bay.
Erik let out a victory laugh, as he put a saddle on his horse.

Once Ari was finished with the caring of the patients she left Ruvik and Kara in charge to watch them. Both were quite happy to do so. Breathing in the fresh air she stepped outside and smiled. The morning air was crisp. She made her way to the tree line.
She adjusted her 3dmg before taking in a deep breath.
"1..2...3" she spoke before firing the hooks into the nearest tree, propelling her self off into the forest, Practicing evasive and offensive maneuvers that could be used against titans.

One by one, they each lead they're horses outside the stables.
As they all mounted up Erik yelled out."Race you to the training grounds!" Taking off before the others had time to realize it was a race, they quickly fallowed pursuit though.
"Try to keep up, Soren!" Rikard hollered over his shoulder as he sped further ahead of him.
Soren's horse was a very big 4 year old buckskin stallion, with a jagged small white stripe down it's face and a single sock on the horse's front left ankle. His horse was more stocky, heavier built so it had the stamina to carry a bigger guy like Soren at top speed and keep up with the others.
Soren knew he would never win a flat out race against Erik's or Rikard's horses, so he pulled out an apple from his pocket. Soren was going to give it to his horse, but he knew how much Rikard's horse loved them. He took a bite out of it, and as Alsvin heard the crunch the horse started to slow down to get closer to the sound of the apple.
"Hey, that's cheating!" Rikard yelled. Soren just laughed with a broad smile as he threw the apple to Rikard, Alsvin slowing down even more to get to his favorite treat now that Rikard was holding it.

Ari stopped on a branch high above the ground when she heard the noise. There was no mistaking the sound of those Mountain Brigade boys, at least they were enjoying themselves. She smiled and flew on overhead. Moving fluidly with the 3dmg.

Erik and Soren had reached their little training ground well before Rikard finally came trotting up, his expression sour as ever as he glared over at Soren.
"Nice of you to join us." Erik smiled proudly, since he had won the race. They all then turned towards the course to begin the training.
It was a small, simple course they put together consisting of jumps and many weave polls. It wasn't anything complex, but it worked for them.
They started off with the jumps, as Erik and Rikard took the lead. Both of them stood up on their horses saddles, balancing perfectly even over the jumps.
This balance was the key to their great success when fighting titans, that and the bond they each had with their horses, they could rely on their hoses to be exactly where they needed them to be at any given moment.

Ari drew closer, staying hidden up in the trees as she danced with the 3dmg. She watched the boys practice on their horses. They were all very skilled, no doubt about that. She eyed their moves, sized up their skills as she refiled on gas for the 3dmg.

After the jumps, the three sped towards two posts set across from each other. As they neared the posts, Erik and Rikard drew a blade with one hand, holding their reigns in the other, and struck a post one after the other. Both of them got about an equal cut.
Then it was Soren's turn. He stuck the reigns between his teeth and drew both his blades, standing up a little more on his horse's saddle then the other two did, and struck both posts on either side as he passed through them. Soren's slash was almost twice as deep as Erik's or Rikard's was.
"Show off!" Rikard hollered, as both him and Erik stopped their horses. Soren brought his horse to a stop in front of them and looked over at the blade in his right hand. The tip had broken off after hitting the post so hard.
"I keep telling you to hold back a bit during training." Erik sighed, crossing his arms in front of him.
"I think they break too easy."Soren mumbled almost, discarding the broken blade and replacing it with a new one.

Ari smirked and continued again, dancing through the trees with the 3dmg. She could trust that her moves would save her. She knew what she was doing. She even pulled blades out and began slicing through tree branches, her whole body would spin with a great force. Unwaivering in the presence of any titan.

Done with their warm ups, they continued on with their training and began to head off the course and into the wooded area to practice their more signature strikes.
Again, all three men stood up on their horse's saddles in a low stance but this time they had tied off one side of their 3DM gear to the saddle horns. This served two purposes. It acted as a security line they could lean into while standing for extra balance control, and could be used for lightning fast retreats if a titan tried going for them when in mid air. They could get to their horses without thinking about where it was or their foot placement, reducing virtually all hesitation.
These were Erik's tactics. He figured out ways to use the 3DM gear to it's fullest even on horseback. The only flaw with it maybe was that they were always attached to their horse during the fight, but they were all cautious not to let that be a problem.

Ari stood forth again on a branch this time over head of the men, this tactic of theirs was quite interesting to say the least. She called down to them.
"Oi~ Which one of you thought of this idea."

"Hm?" Erik looked around, sitting back down in the saddle. He soon spotted the source of the voice as he pulled up on his horse's reigns and brought it to a halt. The others did the same, fallowing his lead.
"The way we fight? I did." Erik said proudly, folding his hands behind his head as he looked up at Arianna.

She smirked down at them.
" Thats a pretty smart idea then from you." She called down. She jumped from the tree branch and let herself fall for a few long seconds before pulling the triggers to anchor the cables in either tree to her right and left,easing the landing to her feet as she comes to stand infront of the men. The cables un hook and wind up back into the 3dmg.

"Thanks, it's not a perfect strategy but it's worked so far. "Erik said, trying to be modest.
"Are you kidding me? There hasn't even been an abnormal that we couldn't bring down." Rikard pushed up next to Erik's horse so he was close enough to rest an arm on his shoulder.
"This genius graduated top of his class, so it's no wonder he could figure out how to successfully fight on horseback." Rikard said proudly, as if he had come up with it himself.
"Say's the one who graduated 11th." Soren said, trying to stay quiet and not draw too much attention to himself but unable to resist the chance to poke fun at Rikard.
"Well if I hadn't been demerited so many times for disobedience I probably would have been in the top five too." Rikard shot back at Soren, who had graduated 4th. Rikard didn't seem ashamed one bit about not being in the top 10 though.
This was the first Soren had heard of Rikard's past rebelliousness, but he wasn't surprised one bit.
