Greetings. I've loved Star Wars for as long as I could. There's just something about the fabricated world that makes it so appealing and believable. 'Tis very in debth. My recent adventures have brought me to reading the new Legacy comic line and playing KotOR II. I loved the first one.
Anywho, my name's Ashley (if that really matters razz ) and I'm 21 living in Cali and I look forward to many wondrous discussions in this here guild. Oh and thanks Celestia for the invite! biggrin

I am 21, and I have liked Star Wars for about six years? I don't know. I have only seen each prequel once, and each of the original maybe twice. I have not read any books, but I have played both KotOR games. Dark side, of course. I cannot seem to play light side, even if I try. Ah well.

Oh, and I recently saw Episode I for the first time. And by recently I mean two days ago (7 March 2007)! Yay! I did not like it, but it did make the other two prequels look good in comparison. Oy.

Oh, and I am not looking for a debate, just an elaboration. I know a lot of people can get into argue mode when discussing preferences. =P

I do not want to get off topic here, but I do want to ask what you mean by "still had an excuse" so... where can we discuss it? I was afraid a PM would be too weird. What I pretty much meant was that they had some bad actors, Jar Jar, Anakin, their first shot after a while. Kinda like wtf were they thinking? You ever hear the adage "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me." Granted there are really no excuses. It's Star Wars. I expected better. sad And hey, if you like em no problem. Everyone's entitled to their own tastes... as long as they don't hurt anybody. O.o

Most of us think III was horrible in many ways, its ok.

Sup-I haven't yet introduced myself. Name's Shinta-My real name, however, is classified. =P I've been a Star Wars fan since I was 7-when I saw the first Star Wars movie, and then watched the second and third immediatly after-And I've been hooked ever since. And I have to agree-I- III were...horrible in so many ways. They tried to add so many things to it that it just made you sick. I think the stuff in there was pretty overdone - Especially when you compare much of the stuff from before IV-VI, it was seemingly superior to the original trilogy's arsenal of ships and weapons-It was like taking a step backwards, instead of forwards.

At 41 I'm probably one of the older Gaians about. But it's cool being my age because I actually remember standing in line on Opening Day for ANH (before it was even called "ANH") way back in '77. I've seen every Star Wars movie on Opening Day since then.

I'm sure there are people who's knowledge of Star Wars trivia and details is more encyclopedic than mine, but I've been here since the birth of the franchise =)
