MacPere smirked and opened an eye, attempting to coo at Gren but instead descending into a cough, throat feeling less than healthy. "Rough indeed... And you don't have to do that, love~"
He closed back his eye and nuzzled Gren's neck, sighing.

Smiling, a bit worried at the cough, he replied "Maybe I don't have to, but now I kind of want to...but I've got a few minutes yet."
He wrapped am arm gently around his lover, cradling his head, red hair tousled every which way by the night.

Remaining quiet and still, except for those odd occasions when he would untuck his head and cough into a fist, MacPere rubbed serene circles on the skin of Gren's back.
"Insomnia update?" He hummed into the crook of his lover's neck, shifted his body around slightly.

"Improving...must be all of the exercise I'm getting in before bed these days" he joked. "Still, when I wake up, I'm up for the day, so I can only hope for quiet mornings..."
He looked down toward the cough. "Dry throat?"

"Drift a little... Sleep around... Drink a lot, you know; living off of my fame." MacPere pressed a kiss to Gren's throat and yawned again, petting the long, indigo locks.
"It's odd when I compare my life then to now. Back then, I entered every club without fail and had an entire harem of women to myself and yet, was never happy. And now..." He laughed croakily and sighed. "You get the idea. How about you?"

He set his chin atop the warm red locks. "Oh, nothing so spectacular...Granted, I've had to do a few things I'm not proud of to make ends meet...Red Eye deals and the like. Mostly it was playing gigs at bars around the area, making connections, some new friends. Happy enough for what I had, but not really fulfilled."
Speaking of your fame," he added, "I'm surprised that the tabloids aren't all agog about your recent change in venue and lover."

"Well, I am extremely elusive~ ... Then again, I haven't bought a paper in some time. Maybe they have reported on me. None the less, if they were to attempt to locate the inn, I think I would have to leave for a while, just to misguide them. I would hate to ruin what we have here."

MacPere shifted to his end of the bed and pulled his phone from one of the drawers, pressing one of the speed dial numbers and placing it on speaker phone, awaiting a response.
Eventually, a voice patched through.
"Eliwood MacPere's office, how may I help?"
"Ah, Isadora, dear, it's me."
"Oh, good morning Sir. Is there something you require me to attend to?"
"Not nessecarily..." His gaze flitted to Gren and he smiled. "Say hello, Grencia~"
