Katsuro Kinjo Alright to state my claim if someone asked me if there was a guy granting wishes id say they were crazy but if they asked me who i pray to i'd say I pray t ogod and if they asked me who god was id say hope and that's my take on the subject that is a really good idea of what is god though I try too keep my ideas of god to myself out of respect that people have the right to believe whatever they wish to believe in

Eris:
There's a few possible answers to that question on why god would allow evil to exist. It could be a combination of them.
1. Quite simply, true paradise is boring. There's no purpose and nothing to work towards. With evil around man's abilities are tested and they learn the meaning of paradise and happiness by overcoming evil.
2. In a ying yang theory evil is a part of the natural balance of nature and thus must be permited in the world. Like a disease it cannot be destroyed without taking away the free will of man and the universe and thus evil exists so the universe can exist.
3. In the belief of hell and the devil, evil exists to separate the quality of souls. In other words, evil exists to tempt a being's soul. Thus hell exists so that good souls can be naturally separated from the weaker ones who fall to the temptations of evil.
On the subject of God however I want to say something. I don't think it even matters if God or the devil or whoever truly exist. They are simply meant to give mankind something our parents or world leaders could never give. True hope. To give us a sanctuary of relief on our fears.

In the idea that god is omnipotent as well, means there is no real boredom for him,it or she or whatever. God thus must view all events as one event and must be out of time completely for him(for the sake of saving space) to exist and even know if paradise is boring or not. The bible clearly states that god is both omniscient and omnipotent which he cannot be both because of the clear contradictions. The idea of hell itself can be questioned, and is mostly just christianities use of fear in order to drive people to their beliefs. If god is all powerful he can give punishment to bad souls without the use of hell of the devil. If man is made in gods image, god must be part evil right? The ying yang theory of course there needs to be balance, which is common place in many religions. In Buddhism a common saying is "Life is suffering." Actually I do believe the quest to find out if god exists or not is quite important. So much of mankinds history has been dependent on the idea of god. Conquest, whole civilizations killed off for having differing beliefs. To honor those of the past I do believe it is essential to search the spiritual realm. Fenrir said it kinda opposite of what god's message really is. Hope is common...yes. But the most common place idea or ideal in many differing religions is family.

your thinking of family from the childs perspective. Finding family as you grow up...making your own family. That is life. That is god's message as i see it. Cherishing the known facts of life while searching for the unknown.

Good points, but what you're basically saying is that the point of life is friendship. Is that right?

わたしはNURが大好きです。 Sort of...The point of life is to make more life. That's all there is to it in its most basic form. To be a mother one day... to nurture a family and to live happily. Friendship of course is important no one wants to be alone. It is observed in monkeys and early humans that we travel in pack or communities. These communities obviously build strong bonds and they unknowingly become "friends." We just give a name to this thought or feeling through language. It is no different for modern humans either. We make friends and share a sense of community (Neighbors, cities, all that goodness) ANYWAYS!
ERIS IS SIGNING OFF... Thank you for drawing me further into the conversation fenrir but im tired and ya i need to wake up early. Goodnight, ~Eris
