Now Kageko was stuck. Anansi and Baldur were the same person so she couldn't say that she thought that Anansi wasn't here when Baldur was. For lack of anything to say, she simply shrugged and said, "I just came here."

His face fell slightly. Perhaps she didn't...after all, Baldur and Anansi were the same being, but he considered them separate entities for public purposes. "Well, all right then..." he murmured. "But why d'you ask?"

Kageko gave another shrug and the excuse, "I don't know. I just saw Baldur next to Zulma and that reminded me of when Anansi was next to her." It wasn't a lie. Baldur and Anansi were the same being to her so of course she'd be reminded of Baldur being next to Zulma when he was next to Zulma. she thought to herself after she said it.

Kageko was surprised that Gren had thought so as well but simply nodded her head to show that she did. "You think so too?" she whispered, not wanting Zulma to hear.

Gren glanced over at Zulma, who was sound asleep, laying on the panther, also asleep. "Yep...if you looked properly into Anansi's eyes, you could tell. A cat's a cat, no matter what shape."
Surprised by the suddenly apparent genie, he grinned, waving. "Good morning to you!"

Kageko had never thought to do that, but she nodded her head as if in agreement. She then sprung a question that had been bugging her, "Should we tell Zulma?"

He shook his head slightly, not mentioning that he was in no mood to get a grim expression from her or cause more fights in the Inn. He hated fights.
Pointing, he said "She's sleeping on that panther over there, Alex, but I wouldn't wake her. She's got healing to do."

Kageko couldn't help but sigh in relief. She had, too, had thought that they shouldn't tell Zulma, she just needed to be reassured that she wasn't the only one thinking that... and that she wasn't only thinking that because she didn't want to anger Angeles again.
Kageko nodded, she was nodding a lot today, and muttered something about not wanting to get Angeles angry. Then changed subjects, "Hey Alex, where've you been?"

Kageko waved Gren goodnight and stretched as she waited for Alex's answer. She barely knew the other girl and had only asked to get out of a tricky situation, but she figured that it would only be polite to go through with it.
