Knightsoul kept reading his own paper, blissfully unaware of the goings-on around him. He knew it was only a matter of time until Shade went looking for some new trouble or some new trouble came looking for Kage or any of a million things that would give him a headache and, yet, require his immediate attention. "You got the business section, MacPere? Cause I'll trade you the sports section for it."

MacPere winced at his comment slightly and huffed. Sports had always equalled masculinity, right? If he didn't take an interest... Perhaps Angeles was right, how ever much she disliked him.

"Neat. My stock went up. I gotta remember to call my broker." He continued reading the paper, enjoying the peace. Peace that had lasted for hours. It was a nice change from routine for him.

Fingers sliding around, he finished up the song. They weren't always the best for perking people up, but he usually felt better after a tune himself. Getting up form the bench, he decided to join the others, picking up a dogeared copy of GQ.

Zulma was drying her hair with a towel when she heard the piano. She did not know which one of the musicians was playing but it made her smile sightly. She listened to the song, looking out by the window. She realized that she had not seen Karasu in the last two days or just briefly. The music stopped but Zulma stayed at her window staring outside.

If I had to guess, I'd assume that she's torn on her points of affection, and hasn't yet managed to separate romantic love from platonic. As for the combination beast, well, she may have some sort of past trauma inducing her fear, causing her conflict and doubt."

"That would appear to make sense..." MacPere smiled, he couldn't expect anything less from such a deep musician. "... Though it is somewhat heartbreaking to see her unable to face us as normal. If Karasu were here, perhaps we could sort it but..." He clicks his tongue. "... I feel this situation shall have to be dealt with gently rather than up-front."
