~Just a heads up for those of you lucky enough to be heading to the New York Anime Festival, Viz Media will be holding a panel on Sunday (the 27th) from 12:15-1:15 in Panel Room 1 - 1A24. It's a general Viz panel, but they're likely to at least mention some Shojo Beat stuff. :]

~Viz's NYAF panel just finished about half an hour ago, and according to Deb Aoki's Twitter (she's the About.com Manga Guide), there are four new SB licenses:
Nice to Meet You, Kamisama,
Library Wars: Love and War,
Grand Guiginol Orchestra, and
The Official Vampire Knight Fanbook.


~Made threads for the three new series and added info the to VK thread about the fanbook.
~Updated both the thread lists.
~Updated the Release Thread in the Manga subforum with the new info.

Halloween is on the horizon, and if you're like me, you've been thinking about various costumes all year but haven't actually settled on the one you want. And now you can feel the minutes ticking down and the pressure is building. Rather than give in to the panic, why not harness it the way Kyoko does in Skip•Beat! Volume 19 hits stores on October 6.

Or you could be like Skip•Beat! letterer Sabrina Heap, and go as Kyoko in her gentler moments. Sabrina makes a great member of the Love Me Section.

Finally started my efforts to fix all the images in the guild! : D
~Crimson Hero volume 12 cover added
~Haruka: Beyond the Stream of Time volumes 1-7 covers replaced with better quality
~honey and clover volumes 1-9 covers replaced with better quality
~Sand Chronicles volumes 1-7 covers replaced with better quality
~Sand Chronicles volume 8 cover and summary added
~Vampire Knight volumes 1-9 covers replaced with better quality
~Absolute Boyfriend volumes 1-6 covers replaced with better quality
~Aishiteruze Baby volumes 1-7 covers replaced with better quality

This time I got all the manga that were still running in the magazine when it ended and the SB titles starting with "A". I'll come back and fix some more every time I get a chance starting with SB titles and then the original Viz Shojo line! : D

The Honey Hunt volume 3 cover and the Sand Chronicles volume 7 cover were being a little weird, so it's possible they're not showing up. I know the code is right, so I'm going to keep checking them and see if I can fix them! :]They seem to have fixed themselves, looks like it was just a photobucket issue. :]

Fall is finally here, and with it comes colder days and longer nights. And if you're anything like me, autumn marks an increase in the urge to burrow under the covers and read. Bears stuff their faces to get ready for winter, readers stock up on their favorite books. And to help you find your new favorite, we've got an online preview of Kyousuke Motomi's Beast Master, in stores November 3. The mangaka has a lot of fun playing with the dangerous, bad-boy stereotype in this slapstick romantic comedy.

And for those of you who are already missing the golden days of summer, try checking out The Gentlemen's Alliance †: Arina Tanemura Illustrations, available November 17. Arina Tanemura's beautiful art can brighten even the dullest day. This book includes 65 full-color pages, a section of commentary on each painting, plus two two-sided posters. That's a poster for every side of your room.

~ANN is reporting that the Seiho Boys' High School! shojo manga is being listed by amazon from Viz Media for an August release. This doesn't necessarily mean that it will be released, but amazon listings are usually correct. I've checked their distributor's site (Simon and Schuster), and they are also listing the first volume for an August 3rd release.
~The blog Tanbishugi also noted that Dengeki Daisy is being listed also; Simon and Schuster also lists this title with a release date of July 6, 2010.

~Along with that, I think I forgot to say that all episodes of honey and clover and honey and clover 2 are up also! That means episodes 1-24 of season one and 1-12 of season 2! : D
