Valexi turned quickly as soon as she felt Liefs presence. In reflex, she put her hand to his throat in warning. An Immortal, she should have known. She did not let go even if he seemed harmless. Chess? Valexi had heard of the game, tho she herself had never played. She knew it was a good game for generals to play, and was also recommended for warriors, but she had never taken interest. Find someone in a warriors uniform. They're the best around. She would have recommended Kero, but he was busy with the whole kitten in wolf territory thing. She kept glaring at him, she did not want him to feel as tho he was welcomed here. Keep in mind, the Feys may have let you in their territory, but here, don't expect to stay very long. Remember, I'll be watching. She slowly moved her hand away from him, the pupils of her eyes now cat-like slits.

"Impulsive" he laughed as she held his throat. "It's ok, I'm not welcomed in the Fey Lands either. Sad though, condemning me for crimes I have not done. It would be the same as me blaming you for acts your ancestors did."
He reached into his pocket to pull out a vial. "By the way, here's the antidote. As myself being immortal, my skin is immune to contact poison. This vial is the antidote for that poison." he said in a generous tone. "Though I must say, it's a shame to see such rash actions created from a narrow mind sourcing from politics" he said with a sigh. He again looked at the interior of the palace.
"Even if you are suppose to be, 'my enemy', it doesn't mean we cannot talk with one another. I am the General Warrior in my nation, and chess, well, here's something that can be recommended if you fight an opponent. The best way to defeat an opponent is to allow the opponent to defeat his or herself. Make the opponent think that he or she is smarter as you feed their ego. Soon, they will be blind to see the flaws of their actions" he said with a smile, "much like how someone thinks they are treatening enough to chase another person out of there palace, not thinking what the person may have on himself"

Empris turned and looked at Leif and Valexy. She was surprised that an Immortal would dare come into their city. But he did look familiar for some reason. She shook her head trying to clear her thoughts and separate the emotions now kicked up several notches as she rubbed her temples.
"I can't take much more of this..."
She grumbled to herself. Now Immortals looked familiar to her. The visions were getting out of hand. Something big was happening but she couldn't figure out what from the snippets she saw.
"Immortal, there is more than just the acts of those before us. Much blood has been shed, too much, to turn back at this point. It is a cycle of death that we have condemned ourselves to."
As she spoke she kept rubbing her temples. She hadn't realized just how tired she was. Not physically, but mentally and emotionally she was spent. When she looked at Leif her eyes shone in the shadows of her hood and the signs of how tired she was feeling were evident.

He bowed in respect to Empris. "If we have chosen to condemn ourselves to a fate, then is it not possible to pull ourselves out? I have shed blood as well, lots of your nation, along with the nation of others in my past reincarnations. But something I learned from a friend, one who is still an emotional reck. I asked him, why does he condemn himself to something he hates, the art of murder. And he told me, 'I raise my sword to kill, to shed blood not for the act of shedding blood, not for the reinforcement of power, but to wash away the fires of war. To fight without having to fight again'." he said in a respectful tone.
He opened one of his hands, an orb appearing in his hand. "Tell me, either now or later, what do you dream of? Myself, I am a Dream Reaver, unable to dream for myself, so I visit the dreams of others, as did my many reincarnations." he said sadly. "I'm often called the Sandman in many tales, often seen in the dreams of others, making sure that people can at least sleep well in this world" he looked directly towards Empris' eyes, as if clear that he could see them completely. "You should rest, and when you sleep, I wish you ease as you sleep" he said with a smile

After a few days Ryack returns to the Sun Palace. He was in better additude than normal. He looks around to see how life faired hoping no one was badly hurt while he was away. He walks the streets smiling. He hoped the queen was in a better mood than before. He hums gently as he walks. He would stay in his human form until he retired for the night. He stops at the market to get some more items to add to his healing collection so he wouldn't get out of stock. He hoped his sister was alright and didn't tear up the house like she did the last time he wasn't around. He sighs as he remembers that day."To life to hold to celerbration"He mummers low

Surprise, almost shock reflected in Empris' eyes. She naturally disliked the Immortals, but enjoyed the tales of the Sandman. She looked at the orb skeptically but her hand reached out, nearly touching it. She made no move to take it from him with how close her hand was as she looked from the orb to Leif.
"I dream naught, but see the pains of the world to come. So is my curse and treasure. I will never be able to show you a dream, Lief Dreamweaver."
She knew who he was now. Lief had been present in visions before. Some of the more calm ones, but still disturbing. She bowed her head to him wanting to return his smile but did not while withdrawing her hand and turned back to Kero and Star. They still had the kitten problem to solve. Then an idea struck her, a small smile creasing her lips as she faced the two from her nation.
"Do you fight as your friend did? Fight to no longer fight this war."
She kept her back to Lief but spoke clearly. To Star and Kero she spoke through a mental link.
"I have an idea on how to get the kitten if he really does wish to end this war."

Valexi looked at Lief in shock when he took out an antidote. What do you mean? Had she just been poisoned? She carefully took the vial from his hand as he offered it, she assumed he had some sort of poison covering his skin. She still looked at it suspiciously tho, and did not yet take it without further explanations. She looked from Empris to Lief as they spoke, surprised to actually meet an Immortal in their land who had not come to shed blood. Tho she started to trust him a tiny bit, she was still not happy with him here.

Lief gave a smirk, as if he knew what was running through Empris' mind. "Understand, that one cannot attain peace by condemning a supposed enemy." he looked at Valexi. "I promise you, that antidote is not going to kill you. But it will be worthless if you wait for an entire day. Clever, how you can modify poisons. All it starts with is a simple itch, then spreads as a blood infection, without the victim ever knowing. Soon, they fall over from a heart attack, without anyone being able to detect what happened. I did not come here to start any wars, but that doesn't mean I won't defend myself" he said in a calm tone.
He turned back to Empris. "If I am to solve a problem, I will not do it simply because another nation views it as a way to attain peace. Also, I am merely away from my nation because I wish to find a person to play a friendly game." he sighed afterward. "But I am sure you are wishing for me to fight the same as my friend. That is not true. I see it as this, one can attain peace when one can remove the terms 'justice' and 'conviction' from their minds and hearts. Tell me Empris, does it feel good to carry conviction in your heart, be it to yourself or to others?"

Star was growing quite impatient with Lief. The moment Lief stepped into the picture she thought "rat". There was nothing about him that she trusted but than again. It was truly difficult to gain Star's trust when your outside her comfort zone of those she's familar with. She looked to Empris, Valexi, to Kero with frustration.

"Look Lief. Enough of this bibble babble. We have buisness to attend to currently. So, what was your suggestion?" she asked Empris waiting to see if she had a plan about how to retrieve the kitten. "I wish to do this with little confrontation as possible. I don't wish to kill wolves unless I have to." she said.

Ryack walked passed Star, Leif,Valexi and Empris. His mind was on his sister hoping she was alright as well as the queen. He was able to lock the painful memories of his past away. He couldn't let those get in the way of his healing and his will to protect his home and those living there"The past is the past, not matter how we wish it we can't change what was done but we can change what is to come with our actions and words. When a healer turns to a warrior he or she breaks their vows but when they seek to aid those they care for their blades are stronger their will unbreakable. As many warriors are now....Death awaits the foolish and proud"He shakes his head laughing low at his words"God.. how those words always seem to echo in my mind...And how true they are"He looks up. They were his father words that he had heard when he was younger when he saw healers training to fight..and he himself was doing

Valexy shot another glance at Lief before taking the antidote. If ever it didn't work, she knew that Lief wouldn't live for very long. She returned the empty vial to him and turned back to the others, but only after pointing out someone in the crowd. He'll play with you. She turned to Star. I don't think we should bring weapons, maybe then they'll think of us as less of a threat.

Ryack sighs then stops at a Trading post.He looks through the herbs and items there. He tilts his head some before trading to get what he needed. He turns and walks down the streets. He needed a drink but knew better than to get one"I could always get cider"He mutter to himself. He closed his eyes a while as he walks listening to the sound of the sun kingdom.

Lief laughed at Star. "Rat? That's a new one, though I don't think name calling is going to help solve a war. But if it is to infiltrate an enemy camp, the key is not to walk in without weapons, but to be sure you are more talented in unarmed. Feed their ego, play the game of war the same as you play an enemy. Make them do all the hard work and help them along, slowly guiding them to destroy themselves. The idea is to make them think that they are 'smarter' or 'better' and that you are lesser. Corner a rat, it can still bite. Plus, I'm sure your nation knows, any nation for that matter, is that power and strength has no solid meaning, but different mediums." he pondered for a bit.
"Wolves, from what I have heard, depend on their numbers, speed, and physical strength. Speed is useless when the mind is clouded, so make them overwork themself. Physical strength is a double edged sword, one can deliever devistating harm, but that is useless if you can't land a blow, play on their aim, that should force them to think speed equals accuracy. As for the numbers, do a little pride game, after all, no one's ego likes having it's strengths downsize." he said with a smirk. "So, would you like to play chess with me now?" he said with a con man's smirk

Empris was a little taken aback by Liefs question. She had no such conviction. Not that he spoke of. But if that was true, why did she come back? Just because of a kitten? She listened to Lief speak and thought about his words.
"Lief, why do you aid the enamy of your ally? I don't understand. I have none of the conviction you speak of for this war, but I couldn't imagine betraying those whom I'm to help and protect. Cause in ecssence, thats what you're doing. Why?"

Ryack sighs as he opens his eyes"Go away a few days and things change..."He walks towards his herb shed to put what he bought and what he brought with him from his birthplace. He enters the shed and put things where they belong then he left and locked the shed before heading to his home. He rubs his brow thinking.
