Azana picked up a dumpling, taking a bite and giving an enthusiastic nod of approval. "Fantastic...!" She finally said after swallowing. "You really have some mad skills in the kitchen, Gren..."
She sipped the green tea, a contented sigh escaping her. "You are something special, Gren...and I don't think I really need to say it to you, MacPere." She chuckled, picking up her chopsticks again.
"I am so glad I learned to use these..."

"I...well, thank you..." Gren blushed and sipped his tea before saying "I haven't seen Moonbeam around...did you take her back to your house?"

In between filling himself on the stir fry and taking dumpling after dumpling, MacPere hummed in agreement with both Azana and Gren's words, enjoying the meal more than deemed normal.

Azana shook her head. "No...I haven't introduced her to the place yet. Honestly, I thought she'd like it better here...more people here more often. Hm." She took another bite, a little concerned, until the black cat padded down the stairs.
"You little drama queen..." She said, shaking her head as the cat meowed at the table for some of the chicken. "You were probably curled up on one of the beds, weren't you? I hope the unfortunate resident isn't allergic..."

"Oh, she was sleeping with Emily a lot, last I saw...I think they both like the company." He grinned at the cat's arrival. "Shoulda known...there's a plate of scraps in the kitchen for her, I'll go get them..."
He stood, and grinned wryly at MacPere's enjoyment of the meal. "Slow down there...it's not running away, hon." he said before fetching a plate of chicken scraps, setting it nearby Moonbeam before returning to his seat.

Swallowing another dumpling and smacking his lips, MacPere apologised humbly and took the food at a more casual pace, appreciation still visible in his gestures.

Moonbeam attacked the plate of scraps with the same fervor that MacPere had been using with the meal on the table above, taking a moment now and then to purr in gratitude. Azana rubbed the cat behind the ears, taking another bite into a dumpling.
"You know what I think...?" She asked, taking a sip of green tea. "I think Sol's been out trying to find something for Valentine's Day...I just hope he comes back soon."

"Heh heh...if you like it that much, I'll just have to make it more often, won't I? Nothing wrong with enjoying a good meal, don't worry..." he beamed, flattered, and began finishing his stir-fry. "I'm sure Sol's fine...you'd know if he was in trouble, I'm sure."

Upon the announcement of Sosol's possible whereabouts, MacPere winced into his tea, smiling sheepishly to Azana. "... He does know that I was merely teasing, right~?"
(I'm afraid that today has indeed been a long day and my eyes are dropping upon their own accord, my apologies... Goodnight you two, I'll be on late all week as I have a week off of school, huzzah. heart )

Having had a particularly early start, MacPere walked back into the inn, arms full of valentines. Despite the fact that they all boasted child's handwriting, eligible or no, he had taken the time to read through each one in the car, beaming at each.
A smile found his lips as he entered Gren's room, quiet as a whisper, and set down the heart-shaped slips down upon the bedside in an organised mess. His request to the children to instead make birthday cards for someone special appeared to be a clear success, his own fading beneath the pink and red.
Leaving with a kiss to the birthday boy's forehead and a whisper of celebration, MacPere left for his room, taking up a dry cleaning bag and strolling back down the stairs, out of the inn.

Kiba strapped on gloves and headgear as Vincente watched. "Kiba, what are you doing?" He asked. Kiba threw several punches at the air. "I'm training, I've got to be ready you know." He said as Vincente handled his shirt for him. "Aren't you over doing it, why do you have to practice shirtless like a few other people I know?" Kiba was shoeless too. "Because, I don't want sweat on my good clothes, sheesh, I thought a human would understand." He said with the best training techniques of his kind. He smiled, he feinted punches at Vincente. "Come on, you need to work too, you've been asleep forever." Vincente nodded and followed Kiba's example.

Blinking awake slowly, Gren sat up in a bleary stupor before realizing that his bed had been thoroughly coated in construction paper valentines. Grining immediately, he began to read them one by one, smiling warmly at sentiments of children unknown.
"That man...where the heck did he get these?" he chuckled quietly, stacking thos read on a hastily-cleared spot nearby. Happening on one in an elegant script, he read it carefully, smile widening all the while. It was going to be quite a birthday.

He looked up as his phone began to chirp its happy midi tune, and grinned at the caller ID. Flipping his phone open and putting it to ear, he purred "Happy Valentine's day..."
