He chuckled warmly, blushing slightly. "I did...and thank you...funny thing is, I woke up to a bunch of cards all over my bed...from children. You wouldnt happen to know anything about that, would you?"

"Mm, well, I usually visit the children's hospital on this morn, and the kids like to make me cards, so, I thought they could be put to better cause... I hope they made you smile as much as I did~" He looked to his watch and hummed. "But, until then, I think some breakfast is due, don't you? Get dressed and head downstairs... Something will happen. Ciao, sweetheart~" He hung up, still smirking to himself with a hummed chuckle.

At the dial tone, Gren smiled. He had the distinct impression that the day would provide a fascinating array of events... "He's sure planned this out..." he grinned, sliding from bed and dressing in the clothes he'd set out.
Skipping down the stairs with a wave to Remy, who was playing some odd game, he looked about for the next surprise.

Azana pushed open the door to the Inn, her shoes making a clacking sound as she crossed the floor, looking around before a slight hint of disappointment crossed her face.
"...I thought I was late..." She said to herself, taking a seat.

After a minute or two, the inn's door opened and gave way to a woman, elaborately dressed with a venetian mask, fanning herself. She turned Gren, continuing to fan herself, and gestured to the door. "Mr. Eckener... Are we feeling a little peckish?"

"Morning, Azana...what d'you mean, la-" he stopped cold at the entry of the woman, perplexed at the question. "Well, yes, ahm...excuse me, Azana. I'll see you later." Smiling to convey that he had no idea what was going on exactly, he followed the woman to the door, peering outside before exiting.
"Gosh..." said Remy, watching. "They're up to something fabulous... what're you doing today, Azana?"

"Well, Sosol asked me to meet him at the Inn...and to dress nicely," Azana replied to Remy's question after watching Gren's exit with amusement. "I thought I was running late...but obviously, I guess I'm early." She sighed, looking down at her outfit and hoping it was suitable. She didn't have much in the way of ballgown stuff...and she happened to like how the kimono accentuated her.

"Oh wow...Well, you look really nice!" he smiled gently. "I haven't got anyone to spend the day with, so I figured I'd hang out and play games with the other singles."

Azana grinned. "Thanks...I'm surprised, though. You seem like quite a catch yourself, Remy..." She said with a smile before hearing the creak of the Inn door, turning her gaze to a very different Sosol.
Sosol stood at a rather tall height, almost if not as tall as Gren. He was dressed in a fine blue (rather princely, in Azana's mind) outfit, completed somewhat awkwardly with a blue-tinted pair of his special sunglasses. But that wasn't what immediately caught her attention, and he knew it.
He had cut his hair short, tired of dealing with the long tail and feeling that Gren had rights to the look. And, somehow...it looked really, really good on him.
Azana blinked momentarily, standing up and walking over as if the figure that has just entered was an illusion, that one touch would cause it to melt away. "Wow...you...wow.." She smiled, looking him up and down. "Where on earth did you find this?"
"I don't want to admit it...but I convinced a storekeeper or two to rent these out to me. I have to take them back tomorrow," he replied sheepishly, rubbing the back of his head only to find no ponytail there. He still wasn't used to the cut, but Vanessa knew what she was doing. "You look great, too..."
"Yeah, but I didn't realize you'd...ah, well. Was this your big surprise?" She asked, a hand on her hip.
"Not at all...come on, I found some last minute reservations," he said with a smile, offering her his arm. Who said chivalry was dead?
Azana took it gladly, looking back for a moment at the lonely vampire. "Have a good day, Remy," she said with a smile before the two left together...though she couldn't help but feel a bit guilty, leaving him alone like that...

"A catch? I don't think so..." he smiled, shaking his head, before watching the scene play out. "Have a good day, you two! Happy Valentine's Day!"
He smiled as they left, looking a bit sad after the door closed. True, he'd wanted a sweetheart, but it didn't seem the ones he liked were much for that sort of thing. "Ugh...I dunno if I'm a hopeless romantic or just hopeless..." he groaned, leaning back and continuing his game, nearing a level up.

"Emily? Emily, please come out, you need to eat..." Remy sighed, a bowl of dry cereal in hand. He knew that Gren and MacPere were usually watching over Emily when Angeles was out, but they'd been gone awfully long, and she simply 'eep'ed and vanished when he last saw her.
Sighing, he opened her door, peering in. "Emily?" He saw her bolt to the corner and cower, hissing at him desparately, trying to yell. "P-please, don't be frightened...I'm just bringing you some food..." he stammered, panicking himself at her reaction. He stepped a bit into the room, not watching where he was going, and promptly tripped over the rug.
"UAAH!" he yelped, planting face first into the floor at the bowl of cereal landed neatly on his head, spilling everywhere. "Agh..." he winced, looking up, bowl remaining on his head. Emily simply stared, and began giggling madly. He grinned sheepishly, sitting up and plucking the bits of dry cereal from his clothes. "Well..." he said, smiling, "Could be worse...I could've remembered the milk..."

Sosol walked into the Inn, surprised to see no one there but a little relieved at the same. He rubbed the back of his head, still unaccustomed to the lack of weight there, and hoped that people would still recognize him without it.
"They should," he reassured himself. "After all, I'm still me...still have the shades, still serving drinks..."
"Still in love with me," Azana continued, leaning in the doorway. "I didn't know you had it in you, 'Sol. Dinner, a night out on the town, a gorgeous and thoughtful gift. I'll make a romantic out of you yet."
Sosol blushed slightly and chuckled. "So, what'll it be today...?"

Azana had finished an entire pot of tea on her own, noticing that practically no one had come in the Inn all day. Were they all out celebrating Mardi Gras, or what? She rested her head on her hand and sighed; she knew this post would occasionally grow boring...but wow.
Sosol was keeping himself busy with practicing his mixing as well as his psychokinetics, working on honing down the precision to perform more tricks. He thought that at least Emily or one of the vampires would be around, but no such luck.

Azana waved happily to the vampire. "Hey, Remy! Uh...what happened to you? You seem a bit out of it," she paused, looking at the beads and such. She nodded back to Sosol, who started putting together a drink for their dazed friend.

"Well, I..." he shook his head breifly. "I forgot it was Mardi Gras, and a bunch of people pulled me into the bar and gave me a lot of alcohol...some girls kept giving me beads and getting mad when I wouldn't flash them...and now I'm kind of worried about what's going to happen when I have some blood, which I need some of right now, because I'm afraid it'll mix with the alcohol and I'll be drunk."
