Zellie lilchibiusa I decided to dive into this whole class thing and join the class of 2005 thread. They gave a towns address, but when I got there, they were just arranging themselves in different shapes. When I asked if anyone wanted to reminisce, I was met with what grade everyone was in when they joined. One person said that she was in the 2nd grade... That would make her 11 now? xp After I found out how under age everyone was, I left. I had expected to talk about how much things cost back then, and how the interface was different, and stuff like that! I really wanted to talk about how Gaia has changed as a result of all of this advertising. When the first ads came out and Lanzer was no longer the top ranking guy, it seemed like all hell broke loose. I can't imagine how much different Gaia is now from how it was in 2003. Necro'd! But I wanted to comment. Gaia in 2003 was SO different from what it is now. We only had Barton town. We didn't have sub forums for discussion. (Like Ed/GD/Chatterbox and other such things like that) Um, we only had one STORE for clothes, and rares were so common we used to get them a few times a month. There was more of a community feeling and less of this massive teeming scary glob of people. :/
rofl I like that "less of this massive teeming scary glob of people."

I wish that I had joined earlier so I could experience that. I had a friend named Jennifer who was from Iceland, but ended up as my nextdoor neighbor who joined Gaia in 2003. She was showing it to me in either late 2003 or early 2004. She was showing me her "Gaia husband" and was trying to explain that alot of people "got married" on Gaia back then. The interface system looked very different. But, at the time, I didn't have my own computer. I got my computer in the summer of 2004, but I didn't join Gaia until March of 2005 when I got bored one weekend during my freshman year of college. In 2005, there were lots of scary people around, and I guess that I was sort of one of them. I used to go to Chatterbox on a daily basis just so I could work the system and do "super bumps" for gold. sweatdrop Gold took alot longer to accumulate and it took me forever to get my kimono.
