Azana quirked an eyebrow as she zipped up her thick vest. "A one-man army...? Sounds like a suicide mission," she replied, shaking her head a bit. She was one to talk, going in the front door of the GMO...

"Sounds like you're pretty proud of it, though. You callin' to ask me along, or to tell me to stay home?" She pulled on her beanie, knowing that she'd feel a bit foolish that she was getting all dressed up with no place to go...

Sosol hummed a bit to himself, drumming his fingers on the bar and eying the microphone on the other side. It was tempting, a bit too much so...but he had a job to do, and he wasn't going to slack off.

Well, it is pretty deserted in here...no. Not going to drive away the customers...

Azana smirked mischievously as she got her second boot on, reaching over for her belt. "Just as long as it doesn't involve sawing me in half or anything...never doing that again." She looked in the mirror momentarily before affixing her GMO badge to the vest with a smile. It felt good to wear it again with pride...

Sosol heard footsteps on the stairs and watched with surprise as Azana came downstairs in full winter gear. "Kiba?"
"Yeah, his team's doing a full frontal assault, and guess who's the first line?"
"Ugh...that doesn't bode well. I should get changed, too?"
"Probably...you'll catch up, right?"
Sosol nodded, tapping his pendant. "Always."
With a soft smile and a nod, Azana threw a very familiar cloak over her and vanished.

Seeing that the main floor was now completely deserted, Sosol cautiously stepped up to the machine, sorting through the CDs to find a tune he enjoyed. One before he ran out on mission wouldn't hurt anything...

He took a deep breath as the music began to play...

"When these pillars get pulled down, it will be you who wears the crown, and I'll owe everything to you..."

"How much pain has quaked your soul? And how much love would make you whole? You're my guiding lightning strike..."

"I can't find the words to say, and they're overdue...I've traveled half the world to say, I belong to you..."

After the song was finished, he had changed quickly and was about to head for Azana when he heard her voice in his mind, scolding him for being late.

Sorry...had a couple last-minute customers. I'll be right there.

A slightly less business-like Stella stepped into the Inn, a confident smile across her face as she scanned the main room, finding...well, only one person. Her attention was drawn to a note at the bar. It read:

Stella,

Got called out with Kiba. Be back later.

"Of course...my one opportunity to talk with them, and they vanish," she said to herself with a sigh. "Damn you to hell, Murphy...hm, I wonder how much a room for the night costs..." She looked around, only finding a menu for the drinks at the bar, which apparently was self-serve when unattended. Suddenly, a smile crossed her face as she got an idea.

"They're not using their room...and since it doubles as a GMO office..." With a small chuckle at her accomplishment, she crept up the stairs and found her way to the room. She'd just call a personal day tomorrow and wait for them...this was, after all, very important.

With a sigh, MacPere descended the stairs, dripping shampoo and holding a towel around his waist, leaving small puddles in his wake. "My water has reached stone cold and shan't go back to warm. Anyone here know why?"

"It would help, thank you..." He walked forward and dried a hand on his towel, pouring himself a tumbler of gin.

Grabbing a flashlight and heading into the basement, Gren switched on a light and found his way to the boiler. Everything looked fairly normal by his standards, though he didn't know much about boilers. Inspecting the pipes, one felt hot, one felt cold. "Maybe a pipe's frozen somewhere...or someone's used a lot of hot water all at once."

Gren emerged from the basement, looking baffled. "I dunno...either someone's used all the hot water, or there's something wrong with your pipes...want to try the bathroom in my room?"

"Yeah, I- oh, hello again." Gren smiled, waving. "Is it bothering you too?"
