I'm currently in the initial designing phase of a summer maternity medieval/ renaissance outfit. It's got to last me all the way thru the pregnancy since I've got an event to go to a month before my due date.
If anyone has any ideas, feel free to PM me. I'd love to hear what others can come up with.

My current project at the moment is finishing the denim quilt I started a few weeks ago and finding a use for all my fabric scraps( I have a huge pile currently laying in the corner of my bed room, no room to put it anywhere else). And then my next goal after that is to learn how to knit. (anyone know of a good way to learn how to knit?)

1) ask someone you know irl to teach you.
2) look on you tube for instructional videos
3) go to a local yarn specialty store. they will either show you or offer a class
4) micheal's/joann's usually have an intro to knitting class

i am currently working on small cross stitch projects to use up my small pieces of cross stitch fabric. I'll be making them into ornaments. I do not have the interest in a large project now. :/

My current project:

A cross-stitch design. It'll end up being 16" by 10"; it's of that famous painting of the wild horses appearing out of the surf, and it'll be by far the most complicated thing I've done yet.

I got it for Christmas, but haven't had much opportunity since then to work on it. If I had time to work on it every day for at least an hour, it might take me less than a year. But at this rate, this'll probably take me 5 years or more. gonk

Well I am pregnant so I would like to start a scrapbook about the pregnancy and continue on hopefully till the baby graduates high school. I think it would be a nice gift. I have never done it before and don't really know where to start. But I will prolly start within the next few weeks.

Also I am brand new in this guild, if there is a scrapbooking thread could anybody give me a link? Thanx!

My one suggestion is pick your mile stones in advanced and keep a collection basket of important items. That way when you have a quiet moment you can decided which out of the basket are trueley the most important. also in the planign department before you even buy the scrapbook you should really figure out the milestones
and then what might be nice is to leave a few extra blank pages incase they want to continue it.

I just got a new sewing machine Sunday, so I'm thinking up all sorts of new projects!

I bought some awesome fabric for a handbag. I just need to buy some orange for the reverse side. Gonna be orange/pink.

I'm also going to try to make a roll-up pencil case with extra pockets. I kinda thought it up on a whim and I'm not exactly sure how it'll work out, so I'm going to need to buy some cheap-o fabric to experiment on before I make a final product.

I already sewed a valence for my bedroom! Yeah, I know, how easy is that, but it was the first thing I made with my new machine and it turned out okay. The opening for the curtain rod started out thin on one side and got thicker and thicker...so it's kinda crooked, but honestly, you can't really tell.

My current project is:

A elegant gothic lolita style outfit for my sister. I'll have to provide a drawing so then everyone will know what it'll look like later.

A current project is a birthday present for my friend, a pair of fingerless gloves. I've completed the first one and now for the second.

After this I'm thinking something smaller. I don't know what though. But they'll have to be presents for a niece and nephew. ^-^

In Need of_ Repairs: You should look up knitted toys...I just finished a knitted dog and it came out looking adorable. I think it turned out to be about 6-8 inches tall. I might be wrong about that though.

My current projects are as follows, a dinosaur toy of which I have knitted the legs, and body pieces, I just have to knit the spikes and then sew it all together and stuff it. I'm also halfway done with my second sock, which I used this really awesome yarn that had jojoba oil and aloe vera in it. It makes the yarn really really soft. I just have to knit the flap, turn the heel, pick up the gusset and knit the rest of the foot.
I'm using a cable pattern which looks really awesome.
after those projects are done, I'll probably spend some time on my peacock tapestry...which I really want to finish this year if possible.

I have a lot of things in motion, or wanting to be in motion right now. xd

Currently: Tiger lily cross-stitch and a patchwork baby blanket.

Soon: Flight of the Concords cross-stitch, friend's scarf, and a patchwork skirt.

Well, I'm first of all going to make a handbag for a friend of mine, because it was her Birthday yesterday. I'm going to use it as a gift bag for the gift I'm going to buy for her.

Next, I'm going to start sewing a new bag pattern because I think it's safe to say that I've "mastered" making tote bags. I got a book called "Sew Easy: Bags" by Linda Lee and it comes with twelve cards that have easy-to-read instructions.
