As soon as Debra saw Sofia's bedroom, she couldn't stop herself from remarking, "Obviously you never let your husband in here for long. Too feminine for a guy like him. I love it!" Debra was expecting to see some first-rate photography, and she wasn't disappointed. When she was looking at the black and white photo, she said with a smile, "Hey, if you need a caption for this one, you could call it 'The Nose Knows'!" Debra admired the photo of the ballet dancer as much as the others, if not more so. "This is so perfect!" she said confidently, "I would totally miss this shot. You know, you've got yourself set up for two great careers, as a painter and as a photographer, and I'm not talking about working at a photo studio at a mall. You could pull in some big bucks as a freelance photographer."

"Thank you, though my true goal in life is to be a family therapist, believe it or not," Sofia said with a chuckle as she offered Debra to sit at the bed or computer chair. She looked around her desk for a moment and then handed her her album of other photos she took. They were mainly of random people at the park or beach or even at school. One picture was rather eye catching and it was something Sofia had to explain. "I was walking around the city once with my camera just looking around for something to capture. I walked past an orphanage and there was that little girl standing in front of the window staring out watching people as if craving for freedom. I took the picture and whenever I look at it I hope that she found a family to be with." She sighed and looked out the window for a moment to see gray clouds slowly coming in. It would rain during the night but by tomorrow it would be sunny therefore not affecting the game.

"Wow! This is deep!" Debra said in admiration as she looked at the photo of the girl in the orphanage. It reached out to her in a way that the others hadn't because it touched her on a personal level. Debra felt as if she was looking at a younger version of herself.

Sofia looked at Debra getting the hint that she probably could connect with the picture. "I plan on blowing the picture up and hanging it up in the room. If you want I can make you a copy of it as well." She left the room for a moment before coming back with two bottles of water and a bowl of fruits offering some to her. Bo had come in and sat on the bed looking at the girls wagging his tail happily. While the two spoke and were enjoying each others company, Brandy was investigating who had taken the picture. Slowly she was managing to go down the trail of who got the message from who.

Since she was popular it didn't take her long for her to now be standing in front of Aeron with her little group of bimbos. Aeron sat on a porch with a couple of his friends staring at the angry air head. "Where you the one who took this picture!" She held up the paper while asking him and it almost seemed as if steam was coming out of her ears.

"Perhaps," was all he said before looking at the picture and laughing more. "Too funny!" His group laughed as well but a sudden slap to Aerons face had silence rise. Rather than beating the crap out of this stupid girl he simply stood up and left with his friends though he had left his phone on the porch and there, she found out who it was, and boy was she surprised.

"Could you do that for me?" Debra asked, "I would really like that, if it's not too much trouble."

Football practice was an intense session that afternoon, with the team making their final preparations for the next day's game. One advantage was that it was going to be a home game. Alex felt that the team was as ready as it was going to be. He knew that Sofia was going to be playing with the band during the game, but he didn't find any credibility in the rumors that he had heard that she would be playing the drums. That just didn't sound right. As soon as the practice was over, he returned to his apartment. "I'm home! Is dinner ready?" he called out, as he always did, but this time he added, "By the way, did you see that photo of Brandy that was hanging all over the school? Whoever took it is a genius!" He didn't realize it, but he had just paid his wife a big compliment, even if it was unintentional.

"Oh it's no trouble at all, consider it a welcome present," Sofia said as she put the photo album away and then sat back down continuing to talk. In time it was time for dinner yet again so she prepared a stew she was planning on making and again Debra was helping her. Bo walked around looking for something to do but he seemed rather quiet and tired than usual. Either way he laid down by the t.v and kept to himself. She had smiled when Alex brought up the picture and tried not to laugh and even though he didn't know she took it, she still felt happy about the compliment.

Alex really wasn't surprised to see that Debra was joining them for dinner, although he had to wonder about why she seemed to be so adverse to going home. Neither Sofia nor Debra seemed to have anything to say to him, like the night before. In time, Alex decided to include himself in their conversation, and so at the first break, he asked Debra, "Are you going to the game tomorrow afternoon?" Debra gave him an 'Are you stupid or something?' look and replied, "Not likely. A bunch of guys knocking each other into the ground while trying to carry a ball from one end of a field to the other isn't something that I find to be entertaining." Alex was more or less expecting that kind of a response, but he wasn't going to be put off that easily, and so he said, "If you're not interested in the game, you could come to listen to the band. I'm sure that by now Sofia has told you that she plays in the band, and she might have mentioned that we do have an award-winning marching band." Looking at Sofia, he then asked, "Isn't there a competition of some kind coming up soon?" Alex would know all about it if it was a sporting event, but as it was, band competitions were low on his list of priorities.

Sofia let the two talk though she could feel the tension between the two but it wasn't a high one. When Alex mentioned the band and how they would play during half time she nodded but did not mention what instrument she would be playing since they would find out tomorrow anyway. "Yes, our band will be playing and we have a competition next Friday," Sofia replied and that was all she said as she continued to eat the stew which was delicious as usual. Bo normally wondered about the kitchen hoping for them to throw some food at him but today he still lay by the tv with his ears flat on his head but for now it wasn't anything noticeable.

"A marching band, huh?" Debra said "Now that's the kind of entertainment that I can appreciate! There's nothing like the skill and precision that you see in a marching band's performance." To tell the truth, she really wasn't quite that excited about the band, but she would stay to watch the marching band because Sofia would be playing, and she guessed that her remark wouldn't sit well with Alex. He apparently understood the implied poke at him because he was bristling a little as he said, "There is a lot of skill and precision in playing football too, you know! I'd like to see how well you could take a snap, roll to the right, find your receiver, and put the ball right on target while a linebacker is charging straight at you." "While that does sound impressive, you have to admit that it doesn't always work that way. I've seen enough football to know that sometimes the difference between a catch and an incomplete pass is pure, dumb luck," Debra countered, and then she grinned at Sofia as she added, "The marching band doesn't depend on luck, does it, Sofia?"

"We only depend on the hard work we put into all the practices we've done and hope for the judges to see that our hard work is put to good use," Sofia said with a smile and she glanced over at Alex for a moment. "Actually perhaps you can cut the football players some slack, they work just as hard as us after all and there's the added danger of possibly getting your neck snapped but of course that is just my opinion." Yes, Sofia had just defended Alex but really she meant it for all the football players, not just Alex. If anything, Sofia appreciated hard work and appreciated others when the put a lot of effort into the things they were very passionate about.

It was somewhat amazing that Sofia had spoken on Alex's behalf, even if she was referring to football players in general. Not exactly full support, but that was fine. Just for the record, though, he remarked, "Football really isn't that risky." Debra smirked at him and replied, "If that's true, then why do you wear that helmet and all of those pads? Still, Sofia does have a good point. If someone works hard at being the best at something, he or she should get the credit for all of his or her work." "What is it that you work hard at to be the best?" Alex then inquired. After thinking for a moment, Debra replied, "Annoying the heck out of other people." "That doesn't sound like something that I would brag about." Alex remarked. Debra merely shrugged and replied, "It's what I do."

"In the end if it makes you happy Debra," Sofia replied with a smile as she finished her bowl of stew and when the other two did as well she began to wash the dishes again not sure of Debra was heading home or not so she would simply let her say goodbye first before saying anything just in case she wanted to stay a bit longer. Tomorrow would be along day so Sofia would go to bed earlier than usual so she had enough rest and she would have to make some food that would give her and Alex energy in the morning for the game.

Like before, Debra wasn't in a rush to go home yet, but on the other hand, she didn't want to overstay her welcome. After helping a little with the dishes, she wandered into the living room and saw Bo. On a whim, she went to the dog and patted him on the head while saying. "Well, hello Bo! How are you doing, boy?"
