Jester rested his hand on Thomas'. "The pillow is fine, but with no master here to feed me, there's no point in sitting on the floor." The dragon yawned slightly. "He said he won't be back for a week." He scoffed. "Some business up north or something."

Jester clicked his tongue as he watched Ikki completely ignore him. "Why, hello to you as well, Ikki." Jester sill had that feeling that he didn't like whenever this... other male was in the room. What the hell was it about this guy? Jester stood up and slammed his hands on the table. "You can ignore me as much as you want but this is my house! I may not be the master here but I was here first!" He clicked his tongue in annoyance.

Thomas nodded. Master sometimes left without notice, which none of them minded. They had a roof over their heads and food to eat. He never left them wanting. "Well, at least it's not two weeks like last time. I like having him here." He said with a giggle.

When Jester said hello to Ikki, Thomas thought it was cute. But then Jester shot up and slammed the table. Thomas jumped a full step backwards. Thomas' eyes went wide as he looked from Jester to Ikki. He didn't understand why there would be any annamosity between them. Peter watched from his end of the table, not wanting to get involved just like the other servant. Thomas on the other hand started crying. He threw himself at Jester, wrapping his arms around his waist, his little body shaking. "Please don't fight...please." Thomas' teary eyes looked up at Jester and he asked, "Would you like me to feed you? I will if that will make you happy." That was the best solution he could think of at the moment.

Ikki's eyes widen at Jester's response. He was unable to speak right now due to shock. Was he really that upset that he didn't give him attention like everyone else but when Thomas started to cry Ikki stood from his seat but it seemed Thomas went to attached himself onto Jester. 'What a brat' Ikki thought as his eyes returned to Jester."I'm sorry. Thomas was speaking to you at the moment. Did you wish for me to interrupt?" he asked with a low and deep voice before returning to his seat again. He wished he could tell Thomas not to baby the boy but it seemed he just threw fits when he didn't get his way. He really didn't like this guy and if they were anywhere but here he would have knock his a** down a few steps. This Jester brought out the worse in Ikki. The dragon part of him he tried to suppress.

Thomas gently pulled on Jester to get him to sit in the chair. Thomas tried to be the gentleman and push the chair in as Jester sat down. He dried his tears and tried to smile after Ikki was finished talking. "Please, I'll get your food for you." Thomas said trying to be opptimistic. He pulled over the placemat and the plate for Jester before he reached over and started putting the food on the plate for Jester. "What would you like to drink?"

At the other end of the table, Peter and the other started eating. They had an alotted amount of time to eat before they needed to resume their afternoon duties. So that Thomas could sit and feed Jester, he went down to the other end of the table and got his plate. He smiled at Ikki and gently touched his arm with his hand. He returned to put his food on his plate and sit next to Jester. He liked having a harmonious house and would do as much as he could to make it so.

~On the way home~
Kio adjusted the bag he had over his shoulder as he continued to ride up the trail from the town towards his home. He loved the scenery and found it relaxing. One afternoon he would bring Jester out here and just relax with him.....or do other stuff with him.

He wondered how they were getting along with him gone and new people in the house. He wondered if Peter fed Alice or if she was starving down in the dungeon.....but he didn't care if she didn't survive or not. He had low tolerance for females and even less tolerance for those that hurt Thomas. He hoped the boy was alright with Ikki.

Kio pulled his horse to a halt as he thought he saw someone roaming around in the woods. He stared for long moments wanting to make sure. He still wasn't on his own land yet, but he was pretty close. He didn't want intruders and he wouldn't have any more servants. But nothing else moved and so Kio continued on. His thoughts went to why Ikki was on the run in the rain and didn't want to return. But he figured Ikki would tell him if he wanted to or he would tell Thomas and Kio would just ask Thomas later.

Jester was about to protest Thomas serving him lunch, but he submitted to it, if for no other reason than he felt bad for making the boy cry. "Thank you, Thomas. But you really didn't have to." He ground his teeth together as he looked at Ikki. He huffed slightly as he began to eat his food.

It was beyond him why he was so territorial with Ikki around, but he would have to set some boundaries later, when Thomas was off doing his chores. He wasn't about to let this new guy just waltz around all important! He reached over to ruffle Thomas' hair. "Sit down and eat, kiddo. I've got all the time in the world."

Thomas giggled happily as he turned his green eyes up to Jester's silver ones. "You're welcome. It's alright. I don't mind. Anything to keep everyone happy. I like it when everyone is alright. It makes the house more har-mon-e-us." Thomas said butchering the the word 'harmonious' as he wasn't sure how to pronounce it properly.

Thomas laughed joyously as Jester ruffled his hair. He loved the attention and he loved giving attention. He poured Jester something to drink before he poured himself something and he sat down to eat. He glanced up at the time to make sure he was still on schedule.

At the end of the meal, Thomas helped clean up as Peter fixed a plate of food and took it down the hallway to Alice. Thomas found his way back to Ikki and leaned against his side, looking up at him to make sure he was alright. There was still some tension in the room between him and Jester, but at least they weren't fighting.

Thomas turned to say something to Jester, but stopped before the words could come out of his mouth. Thomas looked at the floor right next to Jester's feet and tilted his head as if he was listening to someone that was next to him whispering into this ear.

Suddenly Thomas squealed with excitment! "Master is back! Master is back!" A wave of happy energy burst from the young boy's body and filled the room. Thomas jumped up and down before running to the front door and out to the front yard. He didn't see his master just yet, but knew he was on his way and would see him riding up on his horse any moment.

Jester was slouching in his chair, his hands folded over his stomach. Thomas' strange behavior caught his attention though, since he seemed to be listening to something. And then he got all excited that the master was back or something, and Jester almost laughed. But he didn't. He had made Thomas cry once today and he didn't want to do it again by making him upset somehow.

Still, Jester didn't believe him. The master? Back already? He dusted himself off and made his way to the main entry, throwing Ikki a wary glance as he moved. He leaned his slender body against the doorway, watching Thomas with his silver eyes. "And how do you know that, Thomas? Do you see the future or something?"

Not that Jester would pay much attention Kio if he was indeed home. So far, he was proving to be all the same as his past masters.

When Jester mentioned his gifts being something like seeing into the future, Thomas froze and looked at Jester before looked at the ground. "Um....I'm not suppose to talk about it." Thomas said cautiously before moving further away from Jester so he couldn't ask more questions and the truth be revealed.

But his smiled brightened when Kio's black steed came galloping up the pathway. Kio rode atop it like a king, proud and sure, and his black horse portraying their strength.

Kio had been in thought, but he smiled when he set sights on Thomas and Jester. Thomas moved out of the way as his master could ride up closer to the front door. Kio dismounted and Thomas jumped into his arms. "Master! I'm so glad you are back safely." Thomas exclaimed. Kio caught the boy in his arm and kissed his cheek. "Are things well?" Kio asked, knowing Thomas would tell him everything.

'Yes, master. Ikki and Jester have a little squaff going on, but nothing major. Breakfast was good. Are you hungry?" Thomas asked. Kio looked at Jester at the door and met his silvery eyes. "I'am hungry....but not for food." Kio said putting Thomas down. "I'll put your horse up for you." Thomas said and took the reigns of the horse. Kio headed inside with the large sack still over his shoulder. "Are you well?" Kio asked Jester. "Either you haven't been to our room since I left, or you didn't wish to speak to me. Which one was it?" Kio asked softly.

The dragon scoffed and looked away as the "The Master" returned home. Sure, Thomas was still being weird, but if he didn't wanna talk about it Jester wasn't going to press him. Jester stepped back into the house, nearly annoyed that Kio soon entered as well. "Both. And that's not going to change just because you're home." He stated bluntly.

Jester stepped away, turning on his toes to head for the leisure room.

Kio frowned at Jester's attitude. He wondered if this was the man's true self and the reason why he'd been resold or was it something else? At the moment it didn't matter. Kio was still in a good mood and the rest of the servants were there. Kio set the sack down and showered them with his gifts he'd brought....even some things for Ikki since he was now part of the household.


Thomas came back down the hallway from putting the horse away to see Jester storming into the leisure room. Thomas looked at him curiously before following him. "What's wrong? Why are you so mean to master when he just wants to love you?" Thomas asked coming over to Jester and hugging his waist. Thomas' green eyes turned up and looked at Jester from under his brown bangs. "He is trying, you know. It's hard for him to open up. If you aren't nicer....he may....sell you.......or worse." Thomas got sad at the thought. "I don't want you to go. I like you. Granted master basically keeps you to himself, but when I see you, it's like our home is becoming complete. And then Ikki arrived and it was like the last piece of the puzzle." Thomas smiled again, hoping Jester would smile too and tell him what was wrong.

Jester sighed, twirling his hair around his finger. The dragon was about to just drift off into his own little world, and then Thomas snuck up on him bad enough to make him jump. But then he relaxed, sighed once again, and rested his head against the boys. He listened to what the boy had to say and Jester knew he was right. Minus that part about Ikki.

"I don't know, Thomas, I just..." He twirled his hair again. "Its hard being passed around, bought and sold, wanted and discarded." He wrapped his slender arms around the boy. "I know I should be happy here, but I keep wondering how long it will last." He ran his fingers through his hair, but he smiled at the boy. "You're really lucky, kiddo. Being with one master who loves you your whole life. You've probably never even been to the market..."

Thomas put his arms around Jester's neck and hugged him before pressing a kiss to Jester's cheek. "Market? Oh a slave market? I've never been in one, but I've been to one. Master didn't want me to see, but I asked and he took me. It's rather sad....all those people not having anyone to love them. I cried for them. But you've found a home.....you're here." Thomas said smiling. "I heard master ask you if why you didn't call, master doesn't give set his calling crystal balls out for just anyone. He's not pulled them out in many years. So besides the fact that he had me making a nice pillow for you, and you've been allowed to sleep in his bed on the first night and the way he looks at you, I know that he will keep you. It's just a little hard for him to trust. He's still hurting. He gave his heart once and that slave died of sickness. He gave it again and he was hurt. The only person he would so affection to was me. But then you moved in."

Thomas cupped Jester's face in his hands. "You two just need some time and alot more affection. Each of you must be willing to give your hearts again." The boy said in wisdom beyond his years before he went to giggling and tugging on Jester. "Come! I saw master had a bag of gifts. Try to give him your heart. I'm sure if you are nice right now, he'll be nice back. Go give him a kiss." Thomas let go of Jester twirled around and ran from the room.



"And where have you been?" Kio asked as Thomas ran towards him and he caught him and tossed him into the air and caught him again. Thomas giggled, not answering. "I have something for you as well." Thomas' eyes lite up. The others, Peter and them, had already been given their gifts. Kio handed Thomas a medium sized package tied with string. Thomas squealed and started opening it. "Thank you master!" Thomas said pulling out the new clothes, shoes, comb and socks. The boy twirled around and ran to the cloest mirror, holding the outfit up in front of himself to see how it would look. Kio was glad he was happy. The other servants looked happy and he was pleased. The only one left was Jester...........

Thomas' words left Jester in stunned silence. He honestly hadn't even considered what Kio might have been through. He bit at his lip and curled his hair, really not sure what to do with himself after hearing that. The dragon brought his fingers across his collar, feeling the metal of his masters family crest. He licked the blood off his lip and looked out the window. This was home now. And for however long now lasted, he would be here.

It took Jester a couple of minutes, but he followed Thomas out to where Kio was. Setting his eyes on his master again made his heart stop, and the dragon almost turned around to leave again. He ran his tongue over his lip again, removing the drops of blood he found there.

It would be better to make sure this wasn't any harder than it had to be, but Jester wasn't sure Kio wanted him around just yet. But, thinking about what Thomas said kept him from turning and running. Instead, he gripped his toes against the floor and pushed himself forward, running at his master and throwing himself at him. His slender arms wrapped around Kio's neck and he buried his face against that strong shoulder.

Kio saw Jester running towards him and turned to catch him. He held him for a moment before raising a brow. "Did Thomas use his powers on you? I don't think you would have turned around that quickly." Kio said doubtfully. He lifted Jester chin and saw his bleeding lip. Kio bent down and licked Jester's lip, his saliva healing the cut, before Kio kissed Jester softly. "But I'll take what I can get." Kio whispered and kissed Jester again. He pulled him closer. He wanted to tell him that he had missed him and that he hadn't wanted to leave in the first place, but to him the words sounded weak; so he kept them to himself.
Thomas was glad to see them together and he giggled as he blushed and watched them. He liked seeing everyone happy. A pulse of euphoria spread across the room. Kio cut his eyes at Thomas, who sucked his lower lip in his mouth. But Kio winked at him before letting Jester go. He got the last package and handed it to Jester. He hadn't forgotten to buy something for his pet.
