Gren glanced to Sosol, smiling slightly, before returning his gaze to the stage.

Sosol simply replied with a knowing smirk, never taking his eyes off her for a second. That's it...knock 'em dead...

At the next line, her eyes lifted, showing her glimmering, chestnut-brown eyes.
And every thing I thought worth learning
Is forgotten when I see your face instead Sosol flushed a bit, having the slight hunch that the line was directed at him...

A shadow in the wind
Rolling round but when you go and let somebody in
They might fade away A tear began building up in her eyes at the chorus, as it usually did when she sang the song, but it did nothing to sway her voice...

Remy tilted his head, baffled. It was sweet song, but he didn't think tear-worthy...but then, maybe she had her history? He blinked, paying attention again.
Gren sipped his drink, reflecting on the chorus. "True..." he mumbled into his glass.

The key changed in the middle, and her voice rose into the strongest it had been...
Oh, you say it's so overrated
Holding on to yesterday
Along the way, it can get too complicated to say The musical bridge kicked in, and she swayed slightly to the music. The truth of the matter was Azana had stage fright in the fact that you couldn't get her on a stage. Once she let go of that anxiety, she put on a decent show.
Sosol took a sip of a drink he poured for himself, his obscured eyes still focused on his lovely vocalist.

Azana sang the lines with nothing but a single guitar behind her, her eyes closed.

A shadow in the wind

She opened her eyes once more to finish it out, the tears that had been building rolling down her cheek, out of place against the backdrop of her performance.

And if you think that you are only
Feathers in the wind
Blowin' round and when
You let somebody in they might fade away
Fade away... She finished, the hand holding the microphone slowly falling to her side as the final notes lingered in the air.

"Bravo, I've never sung that well in my life." Erik said clapping, Ultima rolled his eyes. Erik shrugged. "But uh, I don't even know the name of the song." He said with a small smile. "It was good anyway." He said. Ultima clapped too. "Hey, everyone." He said.

Remy wolf-whistled surprisingly well, his fangs adding a harmonic quality to the noise. "That was great!"

Azana looked up, a beaming smile connecting her blushing cheeks. She gave a small bow, stepping off the stage as soon as she could, her knees shaking a little. "Th-thanks, everyone..." She said, a little surprised to see Erik and Ultima joining her audience of three.
Sosol stepped out from behind the bar, swooping in on Azana and holding her close to him, a beaming smile of his own. "That was even better than Valentine's Day!" He said with glee, letting her go again before saying the next sentence with a sly smirk.
"And you said you couldn't sing..."
Azana's eyes narrowed at him, but she couldn't stay angry, though she nudge at him. "How about you show me up...?" She asked before turning to the "audience".
"This man has the voice of an angel!" She annouced, grinning as he started to blush as well. "Who wants to hear him?"
Everyone's eyes were directed at the conversations and spectacles in the middle of the room as an envelope slid beneath the door, laying in wait on the floor.

"That would be great, as long as we're listening to people sing, why not hear Sosol." Erik said. Ultima nodded in agreement. "I've just noticed how musically talented everyone here is..." He said to himself.

Kageko reentered the inn, her carefree façade back on despite what she had just seen, wondering why everyone was clapping. she realized when she saw the scene, . As she stepped further in, she heard the sound of paper sliding across the floor. Looking down, she noticed that she had stepped on an envelope. Her mind immediately went back to the shadowy figure she had seen running away from the inn as she had stepped into the clearing. she wondered as she bent down to carefully pick up the envelope. Turning it around in her fingers as she closed the door, Kageko quietly tried to figure out who it was from, who it was for, and a hint of what it contained.

"Hear hear!" cheered Remy, glancing back at the breeze of the door. "Hello Kageko! What's that?"

"Something for Azana and Sosol I believe," Kageko replied as she held it up, "From the writing and they way they addressed you, I'm guessing its from the GMO. You should read it." She handed the letter over to Azana as she stated the last sentence. She could feel a faint energy of anxiety over the letter. If the anxiety of whoever had made it, delivered it, or even both was large enough to rub away on the letter, then it must have been urgent.

Ultima turned to Kageko and waved. "Yo Kage, how've you been?" He asked. He hadn't seen her in forever as far as he knew.

Azana glanced over to Kageko, noticing the envelope in her hand. As she looked at it, she noticed a sigil appear on its front, invisible to others...the GMO insignia. Before Sosol could take note, she pushed him to the stage. "You heard them...the public demands you!" Sosol rolled his eyes, a little more confident in his vocal ability than Azana, and strolled to the stage, searching through the CDs until he found and old 90s tune that never grew old for him. With a smile, and the full knowledge that the vocals were a bit different than hers, he put it in and set the track.
The backing music started with guitar and mandolin as he took the microphone in hand...
Last night I dreamt of flying
over hill sides in the snow,
And I dove down through the clouds
to the valley there below.
When the fields turned into parking lots
my freedom turned to dread;
The ground rose up to greet me,
and I jumped up out of bed...Azana slipped back while he was distracted, reaching Kageko and Remy in short order. "High-security message...probably from Stella," she explained, holding out her hand and dreading what lay within. Usually these kind of letters were not good news... After the song...open it after...

Kageko handed the envelope to Azana, sensing the worry in the aura of the agent. She repeated what she had said before, "It seems urgent. You should read it as soon as possible."

Walking back down and rubbing a hand over an eye, MacPere quietly slipped to his table, sitting down and listening, even if he weren't fully aware of all yet.
