Azana arrived downstairs, a small stack of papers in her hand that she seemed rather drawn into. She looked up from them, offering a friendly wave to everyone on the main floor before stopping in surprise.

"Whoa, Angeles...haven't seen you in a while," she said, though it seemed rather obvious she'd be busy. The vampire world was probably in a bit of disarray with recent developments...something she could completely understand.

She strolled over to the bar, finding a small note from Sosol: Running errands. Be back later. With an amused hum, she grabbed herself a bottle of cola and made her way to the others.

((Sorry for my random disappearances, Gaia and I apparently have not resolved our differences))

Angeles smirked, "insensitive? That's rather harsh my friend," she leaned down on the table resting her chin on her arm. She looked at MacPere for a while before closing them. When they opened again they were on Remy's painting, "so you don't know what it is yet?"

She then looked over to the girl, who she didn't really know, so was rather surprised to hear that she was surprised to see her.

"Aw, I was merely teasing, Angeles... You know I mean no harm~"

(Bah... I think I'd better get to bed now... All of my worrying over that oral exam took a lot out of me. Goodnight, my dears... heart )

Angeles chuckled and closed her eyes again.

Azana quirked an eyebrow momentarily but simply shook her head with a smirk, finding an empty table at which to look over some information she had sweet-talked out of some of her more mundane contacts.

Sure, she couldn't have access to the GMO...but every homicide had a police report, no matter how bizarre. It had been a while since she had to decipher legal and medical jargon like this, but it was better for her than simply sitting and waiting. Patience was never her strong suit.

I'm still a relative stranger to Angeles, she thought to herself, flipping through the papers and wincing somewhat at the accompanying pictures. I guess that's fair. We never really talk...and she's got quite the reputation, not to mention that distant, "keep away" aura.

Angeles opened her eyes slightly and looked over at the unknown woman. The wind said that her name was Azana, that she used to work for SIN, but that was about all she knew about her. She was going through some papers and wincing slightly. Angeles smirked, wondering if she was investigating the Gambino murder. Angeles had done so as well, in private. A lick of blood from a conspicuous corner on the wall revealed the murderer to be Zhivango.

Angeles had an even more overwhelming fear for the king afterward, but Louie still refused to leave. She hadn't told Louie why she suddenly had tried to double her efforts to the point of trying to carry him like a sack of potatoes out of Edmund's shop. But eventually he won in the end, and she left.

She shook her head and closed her eyes again. Foolish young vampire.

Ultima walked through the front door of the inn, looking not injured at all, he always came back injured. Eik walked up to him and looked for any sign of injury. "Ok, what'd you do?" Ultima shrugged. Vincente sighed, he had his hat in his hand, making his hair flow downwards.

((Az actually worked with BOO, but she did aid a high-ranking SIN officer, so it still works.))

Azana sighed after a while, looking over her notes so far...a blank page. No wonder it was taking the forensics teams a while...then again, they had more information than she did. All she could figure so far was the surprising fact that none of their deaths appeared supernatural in nature. Maybe an anti-metaphysical vigilante...but why would they attack a major regulating force if that were true?

Maybe they've got a grudge... She thought to herself, tapping the eraser of her pencil on the table. There's got to be a pattern here somewhere...I just can't find it.

"How is everybody?" Kageko asked with a smile as she came downstairs.

Azana looked up from her case reports. "Oh, hey," she said absently, going to take a drink of her soda only to find it empty. With a sigh, she set the papers aside, standing to go get another. "I'm just a bit vexed...but otherwise fine."

Kageko looked over at the papers and reached for them with a, "May I?" as Azana took out another can of soda.

Azana shrugged, popping open the can. "If you wanna," she answered, "not that it'll do much good...this guy has covered his tracks pretty well. You may not want to look at the pictures, though..." She grimaced at the thought of them, unsure as to whether her colleagues put up that much of a fight or the GMO Hunter was just plain sadistic.

What was I thinking, getting these? She thought, taking a sip as she stood over the table, looking down at the case files. If the forensics team hasn't made any sense of it yet, what makes me think I can with incomplete information?

Kageko took up the papers and glanced over the written reports, as she had guessed, they mostly contained information that she already knew. Of course, there were several pieces that were new to her, but not much.

As for the pictures, she analyzed them thoroughly. A picture was worth a thousand words, and they were the closest she could get to actually being the scene. Just as Azana had warned, they were pretty gruesome, and the girl couldn't help but shiver at the sight of the blood. Thankfully, it was just a picture so the impact wasn't at large. Kageko thought to herself as she analyzed the wounds on the corpses. Many of them were in vital points, so the wounds were either caused all at once in an attack that the defender had survived or they were inflicted over time and the defender had managed to survive all of the attacks. Of course, there was the third option that perhaps the attacker just loved torturing his prey, but that wasn't likely. The information Kageko's friend had gathered pointed away from that scenario. The predator was sneaky enough to remain hidden despite the attention given to him, not something a risk-taker would manage to accomplish... unless the risk-taker was very adept at what he did.

After she had finished looking over the bodies, she went back to the beginning and started looking at the surroundings, at least what little she could make out from the close-up of the bodies. She managed to get a few clues of the attackers attacks, but nothing that she could be 100% certain of. They were actually just reconfirmations of the scenarios she had thought of when she actually went to the scenes of the fights. However, there was one thing bothering her. She had hoped that the pictures of the fresh bodies would send some light on any supernatural abilities of her target. However, she could still find none. On the contrary, Gambino's death, which she had suspected was caused by the same person, did have supernatural origins. Kageko mused to herself as she tried to piece together what she had.

Azana took her seat again, watching Kageko as she looked over the case files. Most others were much more concerned with the Gambino murder case and the Holidays' warning...and those had their place, as well. However, if she were going to get the chance to help with either of those, this one had to be solved. Somehow, she felt Kageko understood all that...and she was pretty well connected.

Sosol entered the Inn at last, carrying a couple bags and a smile on his face. If memory served him, tomorrow was the day he and Azana had been practicing for...and unlike her, he was actually looking forward to it. He smiled and waved as best he could with his hands full, though he noticed that she and Kageko were concentrating on something. Whatever it was, it could wait until he had put everything away...

Kageko put the back papers back down on the table, making sure that they were how she had picked them up, while also returning Sosol's wave. With a sigh, the girl thought, and strolled towards the kitchen to see if she could find anything to eat. In a few minutes, she came back out with some reheated leftover soup that she was already eating quietly.
