~Viz announced the license of The Art of Vampire Knight. It will be out September 6, 2011. I've seen the Japanese version, and it's gorgeous! It's a must buy for any VK fan!!

~According to a new press release, Viz has licensed Reimei Arcana by Rei Toma. They will be releasing the series as Dawn of the Arcana starting in December 2011. Not specifically a Shojo Beat series, but it's likely, based on the fact that it runs in Cheese! magazine in Japan, which is a shojo magazine. Also based on that fact, this is going to be a slightly more mature title, as Cheese! titles are usually on the more risque side. Series summary from Viz:
"To end the conflict between the warring kingdoms of Senan and Belquat, Princess Nakaba of Senan is sent to Belquat to marry Prince Caesar. Accompanied solely by her half-beast attendant Loki, Nakaba must learn not only how to survive the intrigues of a hostile court but also how to handle the mercurial Caesar. And in the swirl of secrets and treachery, there could be one thing greater than all: the mysterious power of the Arcana. "

~According to the same press release, Viz will re-release X in a 3-in-1 format. This was originally one of Viz's Shojo titles, so it's likely that when they do the re-release, that it will be part of the Shojo Beat line, similar to the Fushigi Yugi and Hot Gimmick re-releases.

~I was looking at simonandschuster.biz for some updated covers, summaries, and release dates and noticed that in the digital catalog, they have the releases for February 2012 already listed, including a new license, Akuma to Love Song, which is listed as A Devil and Her Lovesong. The series is by Miyoshi Tomori and originally ran in Margaret magazine, though it was just recently completed at 13 volumes. I've read a bit of the first volume and very much enjoyed it, I highly suggest everyone purchase it when it comes out in February!
