Do YOU cheat?

I cheat to get my sim's house just the way I want it, but as I'm playing with my sims I try to make them earn their money the hard way. I think it makes the game more fun.

Same here unless I want them to suffer then they start by living in a square until they work their way to the top.

'Course I cheat! I love making my sims the way I want, and since I own Uni I LOVE using the crazy Cow Plant the most. Takes care of the annoying neighbors.

What I mean is I love using boolProp to get all of the clothes I want my sims to wear and I'm a motherlode addict.

Hm, the only cheats that I use regularly are Aging off and (only when I'm making a new house), Motherlode. I like being able to design it whatever way I want without money being an object. n_n

I never use Motherlode AFTER I make the new house. I shove my families into jobs right away and make them earn anything else fancy they want (especially those Fortune Sims, those greedy little numbers).

I only cheat if I need to. Such as using the money cheat if the family needs food or needs to pay the bills.

I hate using cheat codes. I like to playthe game the way it was meant to be played. No offense to anyone that does use cheat codes because I did not mean it that way. Of course if you go on the official website which I cannot give you for the Sims 2, and you go to the community forums, or whatever they call them you will see some of the most popular topics are about people's computer crashing, games no longer working, and whatever because of cheat codes so ya I definitely do not want to use them.

Heck yes. I don't use a ton, because I like a little bit of a challenge. I use the basics; just maxmotives, kaching (for the matchmaker or buying outfits), motherlode every once in a while to build a house. Sometimes I use the testingcheatsenabled when I want to make friends fast or gain quick skill points for work.

Yes, yes I do use the codes.

I find it makes things far more enjoyable. Granted, I dont use them every single time... just when I dont want to have to deal with 'minor' things. Other than that, and setting up their homes/relationships to how it pleases me... I let them run their own lives.

I only use "Aging off" because after you play as long as I have, cheating gets old and it's not as fun anymore. I like working hard to get everything I want. Plus, when you work to get what you want, you feel like you accomplished more.

The only reason I use the aging off is because I want to play with my family longer.

Same here, as soon as I start the game, I turn on boolProp. Haven't played Uni in a while, one of my friends lost the disk. There is a better alternative to motherlode, it is Familyfunds [family name here] [amount of money you want them to have] I know it works up to 1 million. The only bad thing with it is if you have more than one family with the same name, then it doesn't work.

FamilyFunds only works with NL and all EP's afterwards. All I have (currently, gonna be getting my own PC soon!) is Uni and the base.

I do sometimes. I don;t think its as fun when you cheat so I try not to do it. But sometimes it can get frustrating.

With some families I do cheat, and some I do not. Sometimes I can make rules, like with this family I may only use cheats to fill their meters, with this one I can only add money (and with some, I can do motherlode as many times as I want, some I decide to only give 5 000 extra). It kinda depends on my goal with that family. Like I'm trying to find out how genetics work - lets help them make babies faster.

But, today I had to use a cheat code with a family that I normally don't use them for. They were on a holiday and a staff member from the hotel stood next to the bed for hours and hours so both my sims couldn't sleep at the same time (and one of them were pregnant), so I filled the meters in the end.

Honestly, I always used to. The minute the screen loaded I was opening that cheat box and making them millionaires! But I don't anymore. Somehow it just seems more fair and enjoyable to make them work for it. lol
