Kageko decided against mentioning the last time Angeles had been violent at the inn and instead asked, "Why not? It's not like they're short on time or anything."

Remy waved to Kageko. "She's probably done those already...I'm having fun, but I'm only 23!"
Gren descended the stairs, looking a with woebegone, his long hair in matching plaits.

"Only if you think it's not going to happen again" Knight said as he came back in with Nate close behind. "I don't know if that was Death, but he'll think twice before crossing me again. That's Knightsoul 1, bad guys zero."
The duo sat at their usual table, and Knight continued "For me, fun is anything that gets my adrenaline flowing."

Gren nodded, with a chuckle. "Yeah...s' what I get for losing at Hungry Hungry Hippos, I guess." He looked at one. "At least she's tidy about it...what's going on down here?"
Remy tilted his head. He still remembered what thrills were like...would he ever have an adrenaline rush again? He thought of this a moment, shrugged, and assumed that drinking the blood of a caffeine junkie might do the trick. "Maybe..."

Angeles said looking at knight with dangerous eyes telling him to drop the conversation before turning back to Gren and said, "so did she knock you down and hogtie you or did she just find a chair," she didn't know what hungry hungry hippos was but brushed her curiosity aside.

"Angeles, you can give me your scary glares all you want. It won't frighten me. I face supervillains, interdimensional beings and giant monsters on a regular basis. You think a vampire scares me?" He kicked back in his chair and pulled his harmonica out of his pack, hoping either the music or his casual demeanor would coax some sort of reaction other than anger from her. He respected the vampire and liked her well enough. He just wished she would lighten up once in a while.
