Hoshiken looked up as Gren entered. There were a few of the patrons that Hoshiken knew well, others not so much, through how Angeles spoke of them. Gren and MacPere, he knew those two best of all, and he nodded as Kage introduced him to the man, hoping that the 'Angeles' summon' part would discontinue any sort of natural trust the man had.
As the man left Hoshiken looked over at the people playing cards and looked down at the table before crawling up onto it and curling on top of it and closed his eyes to sleep, I don't think anyone will have anything nice to say to Angeles ever again.

Finding the summon napping atop the card table, Gren ignored him wholly and drank his coffee. How to deal with this? He'd been betrayed so many times, he wondered why he bothered with the public anymore...

Zulma entered the Inn. She had not been there for weeks...months... She wondered how she would find the place. She wondered how many new faces she would find.
She smiled as she pushed the door. She knew that the Inn was in good hands.

"You're troubled," came a voice from the corner, sounding much deeper than what one would expect from such a lithe body. Hoshiken remained curled on the table but his eyes were open. Slowly he moved out of his position and slid off the table and walked over to Gren stopping a respectable distance away and looking over the man before saying, "I'm sorry."
Emily came down the stairs, her eyes were red from crying, unsure of what was going on, she was scared, She stopped halfway down the stairs when she saw Hoshiken and sat down on the stairs, her small arms still holding to the railing and she hid her face as best she could behind them. When a strange woman came in Emily sniffled and began going back up the stairs.
Hoshiken turned to see who had entered and recognized Zulma. He visibly winced and murmured, "now hell truly breaks loose."
((*snort giggle* ah, Zulma you have no idea ;;>.>))

Having diverted his way back to his hotel, he'd instead put them on hold, the resolve for his mother's attack becoming priority in his mind. He side-stepped past Zulma, walked straight past Gren and took to the stairs, climbing to his bedroom with an iron resolve.

Zulma raised a surprised eyebrow. What that MacPere....?
As she looked at the man who headed straight for the stairs, she noticed Gren.
"Hi Gren..." she said shyly.
She wondered if something had happened between the two men. She had left them love birds, but it seemed that MacPere had nothing to do with Gren now, judging by the way he past the man without even a look....

"You can say that again..." he groaned, lifting his arm in mild confusion, turning to the door. "Zulma!" he said, perking right up. hopping from his seat to greet the woman. "It's been far too long!"
He turned, looking up the stairs. "Emily, d'you want to come meet Zulma? She's a very nice lady."
MacPere nudged past him, determined. He cast this a curious look, recalled recent events, and decided that he was a man on a mission. "It's been odd, my dear."

Zulma smiled at Gren.
"Indeed far too long..." without ceremony she hugged the man tightly. She had missed him, the others too, but more than anyone, she had missed ... that strange prince with his dark skin and catlike eyes.
"Emily?" she asked once she released the man.

"She's an orphan Angeles brought back from a raided town...I'm looking after her now, I guess." He squeezed back warmly. "Very shy, but sweet kid. And Eli's just having a rough week. We all kind of are."

The little girl stopped as MacPere went walking up the stairs looking very mad. She stared after him before sniffling again and running down the stairs tripping down the last three and falling to her hands and knees on the landing.
She began crying instantly and raised her hands toward Gren and wailed, "daddy!"
Hoshiken backed away towards Angeles' corner and sat down, hoping to remain hidden.

Azana stretched as she came downstairs. She and Sosol had played various card games with Kageko pretty late into the night, but it was good for her to unwind after the raid she had pulled. As she scanned the main room, she found a familiar face, one she hadn't seen in what seemed like forever.
"Zulma...?!" She asked incredulously, shaking her head to make sure it wasn't an illusion.
Sol, get down here quick! You really should meet her...

Gren excused himself momentarily, strolling to the stairs and picking up Emily. "Shh, now...that fall wasn't so bad, not for all of this fuss." He petted her head, carrying her back to his conversation. "Pardon."
He waved a bit to Azana and Sosol.

Zulma scratched her head with a smile at the word 'Daddy'. Now that was a surprise. She looked at the child with a gentle smile.
"I am Zulma. Nice to meet you Emily." With tenderness the innkeeper passed her hand in Emily's hair.
She turned to Azana and waved. "Hello Azana!" she said joyfully.
She felt home and a wave of emotion came to her throat. As a reflex, her hand searched for Baldur's fur. As usual, the panther was not far and she scratched him between the ears.
She looked at Gren and asked. "A bad week?" a hint of worry could be heard in her voice.

Searching through his drawers and under the bed, MacPere grunted as he was unable to find the holy bullets he had manufactured. Whether Angeles was a friend or not, she had bitten his mother. Biting, he recalled, meant control over that person. In her current state, Angeles was too dangerous to allow near the inn or any of its patrons... Especially Grencia.
"Kill the leader, release the victims..." He grumbled to himself, giving a slightly warped cackle as he dug a bullet from under a chest of drawers. "Just one could do the job..."

He chuckled. "She's started that recently...She was, for a long time, mute, 'cause of the attack."
"Yeah...you may want to sit down for it, too..." he sighed.
