The Forest

Alexandria jumped back three times to avoid the flames.

Kaori grinned. "Come on. I'm starving. Survival instincts have kicked in." Through the grin, jagged teeth and fangs could be seen. The sword glistened from the flames surrounding the two. "Try your hardest. You haven't anything on me." The grin faded into a grimace. "I've been watching you. I've seen your strongest attacks. You can kill yourself as well as Alexandria if you use it again. I, on the other hand, have the element of surprise. You don't know my attacks."

death started to laugh"you only seen death's strongest attack"death said as his skin melted away and black flame replaced it then six blood red wing shot out of his back his hair grew longer and turn black he then looked at Kaori"but i'm not death anymore"he said

"Death or not, I'll still have my meal," Kaori spat at the being. The transformation that was taking place before his eyes was different. He had never seen anything like it before. The grimace that was on his face grew into a smile. "But, like I said. You still don't know my attacks, none of them other than the basic sword skills."

Alexandria tried to contact Death with her mind to warn him, but she was blocked out. "Damn it," she said under her breath. "His transformation has left me completely out. I can't help him at all.."

From behind the flames and Alexandria, there was someone else. His presence was masked by his camoflauge. As he slunk closer to the girl, he hissed out a warning, knowing she would hear it. "Be careful. Hessss sssstronger now. He can beat young Deattthh."

"ahh yes you are correct i don't know your attacks"he said with a smile then in the distances a howl could be heald and birds scattered and and gaint nine tail wolf appeared from the bushes and walked to death

Alexandria turned around to see who had said anything to her. "I know you're there. Show yourself," she said.

From behind a tree, stepped a man, who's presence and smell were still masked. "You see me, but am I really here?" he asked. He moved closer to her, wondering if she would remember him as he did her. "Alexandria, my precious p***y-cat. How time has been cruel to me and wonderful to you." He was of average height, wore brown/tan clothes that looked more like rags. His voice was raspy from lack of water, sleep, and medical attention. "My dear, don't you remember me? Remember me at all?" he once again asked, as he held out a hand as if to grab on to her for support.

Alexandria gasped when she saw the ring on the guy's finger. "Luri? I.. I thought you were dead.." she said with slight exasperation. She reached out to draw him into a hug. "I've missed you, Luri."

Kaori smiled. "You think that a Kyuubi is going to be able to defeat me? That's ridiculous."

death looked at Kaori"of course not he just going to help"death said as the Kyuubi sat down"well shall we start these dance of battle"death said as to sword formed in his hands

"You must warn Death.." Luri said with labored breaths. "He will lose to him if he doesn't concede. If you wish to keep your precious student, tell Death to forfeit."

"I.. Okay.. I'll tell him," Alexandria said. "Death! You must forfeit!" she yelled to him. "He'll win! I know for sure!" She turned her attention back to Luri. "What.. What happened to you?"

"Its best for you to listen to her. She knows what she's talking about," Kaori said boastfully. With in an instant he was behind the Kyuubi, ice sword to its throat, soothing the flames around it.

"It's just been time. Help me, can you?"

Alexandria nodded, murmured a spell that allowed her to heal time wounds, and tried to help Luri. "That's the best I can do, master." Itatsume, are you okay in there still? Yes. I am. I don't know how much longer I'll be able to stay in here, though. Alright. Luri is here, so you'll have to wait until he leaves at least.

Death started to laugh"a puny sword at my neck that all you do to start this fight"death said as the flames on his back started to flarethen death grabed the handle of the sword and moved it from his neckthen death disappearedand reappeared beside Alexandria"alway stopping my fun"

Luri smiled. "Child. She doesn't have to wait for me to leave. If she wishes to return to this world, let her."

Alexandria's eyes wandered from Death to Luri. "Alright." She took the potion from around her neck, which replenished itself since it wasn't completely empty, and drank 3/4 of it. She knelt down to the ground, letting her hair change back to Itatsume's.
Itatsume's ears changed, and her eyes did too. She stood up, smiling. "Hello, old friend. It's good to see you."

"So," Kaori said. "You know my master?"

Itatsume blinked. "Yeah."

The Kyuubi walked over to Death and sat beside him "Okay now this is confuse because we all know her she knows all us but i barly know any of yall"death said

"You must be Death. The Kyuubi.. It's been awhile for him too. Well I take it, Kitsune?" Luri said to the Kyuubi.

Itatsume neared Kaori. "You still have the scars from when I beat you. So you've come for revenge?"

Kaori sat down on the ground, now that his master was here. "I suppose." He struggled to keep his anger under control. "Why are you here, Luri. You sent me out to hunt. I am hunting."

"I didn't," Luri began to say, but then his breath drew in sharp. "I didn't mean my friends," he finished. He leaned against a tree. "You should go home, Kaori."
