Okay... This is a copy of part of a PM I sent to someone, but I just wanted others to have the info. too.
The advice about buying under-priced was good advice, and don't feel like it is mis-priced. The truth is that most of us vendors want to sell and sell FAST, so we can relist (we can only list 10 items, and might have 100's to sell) so we take a hit of a couple K just to be certain you buy OUR item. If you can make 2 -3K off of it, buy it. Make sure to check the graphs though. You want something that is actually selling, or you could be without money for a couple WEEKS! On the second graph look for at least 20 or more a day. 100 is better. This is how many units of this item are selling in 24 hours. New items will not have graphs.
Now... If you can come up with a letter (before the day it opens, they now open on the 15th), new evolving item (on the day it evolves or when it first comes out) DO IT!!!! Save up for it, whatever, just get at least ONE of these types of items.
On the day they open (letters) they will be selling so fast that they won't stay on the virtual shelf! You can sell it, buy one for a couple K cheaper, resell, on and on for hours if you want. This month I made 193K reselling super powers. I am serious.
Here are your steps:
1) You will need a high speed connection (If your using dial-up FORGET IT!)
2) Put your password into notepad
3) Copy your password (You won't have time to type when you buy, someone will beat you to the punch every time if you try)
4) Sell your item for about the 3rd highest price. (Don't worry it will sell in a couple minutes!)
5) Go back to that item's page in the marketplace.
6) Keep hitting refresh until you see someone trying to sell low by at least 2-3 K (Silly really because a fast sale at this time takes about 20 seconds and they could make more by pricing higher and they really would not be waiting very long) Just make sure of your profit margin, since you will be paying gaia about 400g every sale.
7) Click it, and paste your password in the confirm box, hit enter (Don't use the mouse...too slow)
cool Start over (After 10 or so of these trades you will be able to own 2 or more of the item, list them both, but at different prices...example: 1 at 20k and 1 at 25k. Too many items at the same price encourages the under-sellers to compete with each other (and you) This will cause the price to drop, ruining your profits.)
This type of vending is called "Hawking" because you are watching a hot item like a hawk. It is really no different than regular vending (Buy low, sell high) except it goes really fast, and you can make a lot of money quickly. It's best to buy envelopes before the 15th, they will go up when they open, so by buying a couple days early you set yourself up for your first 2-3k profit.
If you want to keep one of the items for yourself, don't buy it on the release day. Just sell everything you have. They will drop in price by the next day, and about a week out, will be really cheap, usually about 2/3 to 1/2 the price, so you save some money by being patient, plus you can decide if you really like that item enough to buy one.
