"Fine." Melanie gritted through her teeth, then grabbed her sword and gun from the table, clutching each in both hands. "But I swear, if you mean pillaging my town, I will turn you in to the authorities."

"You're an adorable little creature, aren't you?"

Storm laughed; she reached out a hand to ruffle Melanie's hair.

"I would love to see the authorities try and take me. Take us."

Melanie glared at Storm, her knuckles turning white from the strong grip on her weapons. "This is serious! I'm not about to just go aboard a boat"-Melanie emphasized boat, in an attempt to insult Storm,"and raid the town that I grew up in!" She crossed her arms. "I won't do it!"

Storm was in a good mood; she indulged in Melanie's whims and her presistance in asking questions.

"We're not raiding it this year, Melanie. But even if we were why should it matter? It's just your hometown. If you loved it so much, you wouldn't be here, would you? Now put your toys away and get yourself to my ship, if you're coming with us."

Melanie blushed from embarassment as she realized what Storm said was true. She did love her hometown, but, this opportunity to get out of the inn and be on a ship, sailing the seas, was golden. Melanie sighed in defeat, glaring at Storm once again. "Fine...."She muttered as she sheathed her sword and gun. "Captain." She said, in an annoyed tone, then walked out of the inn and made her way to the ship.

Laughing to herself, Storm finished her drink, paid her tab and left to join Melanie aboard her ship.

Melanie heard footsteps only a few feet behind her, but didn't care to look behind her.
