Yeah yeah here's a question:

Which of us would actually REMEMBER to do the level up stuff?

I'm up for simpler method.

It's true that I did forget to add my character's experience up a few times, but I had three characters to look after...
Do you want to just keep it to one character per person?

apart from NPCs, since someone has to be them.

Well, actually I was thinking of having each person play as three people unless they were uber opposed to it. I was thinking that they could have one main character good guy, one evil biatch, and one minor character with barely any screen time. Of course their villian characters would get killed off every change in dimension, so they'd have to make new ones, which could be a problem...

Well if we all start out at a summer camp there wouldn't be any evil guys for a bit we'd all just be establishing or character, building up character interaction, that sort of thing. I think we could maybe make bad guys later, but start out with one each. Get used to the system, build relationships, that sort of thing. I personally don't like role playing as more than one character, but could go for it...later on.

Yosh, of course, but we'd get to villians eventually. How about this, we take turns making villians for each world and that person is also in charge of telling us when they send their lame henchmen out? That would put a lot of responsibility on one person though, and they'd have to make up quite a few different henchmen with weird backgrounds for us to fight.

Then again just because each person makes them all doesn't mean that they're the only person that can play them. But if we follow the original idea and each person is responsible for making a villain, it should come out the same anyway. Since that would be one person making a villain and the henchman and sending them out....it just wouldn't be specific per world. So I almost like the per world idea better. It's just a lot of work not too many people would be willing to do.

Well, it is a lot of work, but since we have so few people, we need to find a way to have a goodly amount of villians and a goodly amount of regular people. I was just trying to think of a way to do that. Like I said, if someone completely objected to making a villian, they wouldn't have to. Personally, I'd be fine RPing as three or more people, but I can understand that some people might lose track and/or interest if they have to do that too. Easiest way to do this would be to get more people and have a good side/bad side split.

Yeah. Or what we could do is have everyone come up with one, stats wise, and everything, and throw them all up on the character page and have us all use them from that pool. So we'd all use the villains...whenever.

The villain pool idea? But what if someone made said villain act in a way which another might consider to be out of character. Let's face it, we all have different ways of role playing and there's the possibility that the way we role play the villain will make them seem different each time someone else takes over for them. If we did that, it'd have to be for limited actions, like sending out little killable minions when there's nothing else for us to do or eating nachos, but someone would have to be designated for all the major actions to keep that villain in character.

This wouldn't be as big of an issue as long as we had some sort of goal in the storyline. I'm just worried about the amount of work that this is going to put on one particular person.

we can also just say that all the villians have multiple personalities, from power warping their minds, and that would cover up the different role playing practices.

For one or two maybe, but we can't have them all be personality disorderly.

Speaking of goal to work toward, we need to work on the story.

It would be best to make a storyline first to see how all this......method stuff would work out.

SO!

Any ideas on storyline?
