Still unable to find her voice, all Victoria can do is nod. Maybe after a while her voice will come back to her.. She though to herself a dwarf and an elf protecting and looking for a human. How often does this happen?

Dalgrim leads the two to a small tavern. "Best breakfast in town." the watress comes over, "What'll you have, it's all on me."

Melani blinked slightly as she looked from Victoria to Dalgrim, sinking almost reluctantly into a chair. "I'm quite alright, thank you. Again, I already ate." Her hands folded demurely in her lap, she flicked her ears and closed her eyes.

Victoria's stomach was growling but she didn't want to be rude and order a big breakfast she she ordered a bowl of oatmeal, something she hadn't had in a very long time. She kept looking out over the two trying to come up with who they knew that she knew, deciding she would start with the woman. "So how did you meet this man that was looking for me? The man in the picture?"

Melani opened one eye and glanced at Victoria. "He came to me...in this inn, actually. He was very businesslike, and said that he had a proposal for me." The elf closed both eyes again and folded her arms. "It seemed innocent, until he gave me a hundred Southlander marks, the heaviest, for any information that would help him find you."

Dalgrim nods along listning to Melani's story. "Victoria, you sure that's all you want... i do have more money." He recives his large plater of bacon eggs, sausage, hashbrowns, toast, and a small glass of orange juice.
"Elf-woman, was there anything else he said?"

"I've told you, Dwarfkin, my name is Melani."

"He said to meet him here again in four moons' time with any information that I had gathered. I would then be given another hundred Southlander marks and sent on my way, with no further promises or business between us." With a sigh, she sat up and muttered something to herself in Elvish.

She looked at Melani in curiosity wanting to know more. "How many moons ago was this.... encounter? I want to speak to this man myself if possible.. I have a few questions to ask him."  

[Sullen Sweet Juliet]

"No more than half a moon, Victoria." Her eyes opened and glared at the Southlander coldly. "If you leave now, I can tell him, when he returns, that I have not seen you. Or, I can travel with you, openly, and help you clear your name." Her mismatched eyes flickered to Dalgrim, still cold, and a cold smile played across her lips as well. "I assume you will still stalk her from the shadows, Dwarf?

Victoria's gaze flickered between Melani and Dalgrim as she made her decision of what she was going to do no matter what the Dwarf said.
"If you wish to follow me go ahead. I am done running from him. It is time that I speak to him face to face, tell him the truth of that day." She didn't want to give to much about her past away but decided that this would be enough and the most she would tell them.

"I, at least, will come with you." Melani smiled a little to herself, chuckling under her breath. "I can't very well let you out of my sight now that I've found you, can I?" Her mismatched eyes twinkled at the Southlander, and she smiled that thin assassin's smile again. "Besides, it'll be easier to just hand you over to the man myself, won't it?"

Victoria lets a sigh escape her lips as she slightly smiled at Melani. "I guess you can't. I will need you to find the man anyways. The man will be my problem to deal with upon arrival." Her eyes grew angry at the though of the man in her memory ever laying a hand on her again.

Melani beckoned the barmaid over and ordered herself a drink, placing a silver mark on the girl's tray as payment for that and her earlier meal. "It will not be hard to find the man. In three moon's time, he will be here. If you can survive my company for that long, you are more than welcome to deal with him on your own." The elf leaned back in her chair and lifted her boots onto the table, the silver tooling glinting even through the magician's smoke.
