Confusion

Lia blinked and looked up at Craig.
"Yes, I think. This whole mortal thing is going to take a lot of getting used to..." She looked around for any trace of the others and thought she saw a slight sway in the bushes as animal started to appear from almost the same place Craig just had. "Craig, do you have any idea whats happened to us? I almost DROWNED! Can you believe it? A water elemental... Drowning!? Choking and gasping for air! It was so scary... I hope the others are alright..."

Craig let a deep confirming groan escape him as he nodded in acknowledgment, "That is very odd little wet one, i found when i woke, moss would not cling to me, and my family of mushrooms left my back, i was saddened, but to be honest, i have not realized we are mortal, in fact I find it troubling, but humbling at the same moment". Craig looked behind him to notic the small fawn poking her head from the bushes, "Ahh, so we still seem to hold a small remnant of our former power", Craig held out his free hand slowly, "Don't be scared I only wish to great you".

Has her hand on the fawn as it approaches Craig. "Craig? you seem less mossy then usual, have you shaved? ^_^" Still maintaining her sarcasm. Her hair is all messed up from the windy mountains she was on tossed every which way, dirt over most of her fair skin. "So what did I miss... because last time I checked I was able to fly -_- walking sucks... a lot..."

"So does having to breathe air, no offense. I have no idea whats going on, but it would appear we are mostly mortal... seeing as I almost died. I am beginning to fear for our brother as well. Craig, where did you wake up? I nearly drown and Luana looks undeniably windswept... if you awoke buried in the earth I believe our brother may have been dropped into a wildfire or a volcanic area... he might not have survived...." Lia scanned the faces of her siblings and awaited their responses, hoping against hope that they would deny her theory. She had a sinking feeling they wouldn't be able.

"... I awoke on a windy mountain not far from here..." her face showing the same concern as lia's

Craig slowly nodded then cleared his throat after giving the fawn nuzzling his titanic legs a gentle pet, "We all awoke in a place we found comfortable, and while yes, the elements around us seemed to shy away or attack us, it was familiar territory none the less, thus we where able to cope and survive, think if we'd woken up in our polar opposites, that would of been horrid". Craig gave his usual friendly smile as the gentle fawn gave a soft grunt of approval, "Thank you little one", Craig's words were slow and it took him a minute to explain his statement, but his words carried a deep sense of trust and love.

Combs her fingers through her hair and straightens herself out. "We should probably try to see if we can find our brother of fire quickly if it is possible he is in danger, and also discover what treacherous act has created us all to be mortal. If we are here who is governing our elemental planes?"

"I agree." Lia averted her eyes towards the heaven, silently parying for answers, but she also scanned the horizon for... there... in the south. Smoke was rising into the sky in dark billows. She pointed toward the tell-tale signs of what was surely fire of some sort and spoke, "That is my bid as to where we should look."

Craig let go a deep groan and nodded, "then we shall make it so" reaching down and easily lifting both his sisters to his shoulders, Craig set them down and nudged his chains to his armor, "Grab hold, you two still don't have your land legs". Craig began his long strides pace south, towards the horizons billowing smoke.

Holds onto Craig making sure not to fall off of him. "Thank you brother"

"Yes thank you," Lia echoed her sister as she grabbed tightly to Craig. She puzzled silently as he walked, dreading what they may find. Now that she thought about it, it was rather obvious to her who was the only being powerful enough to alter things to this extent... "Oh my goddess! Jolon must have awakened!!!" Lia was breathless at her sudden absolute knowledge. Their Goddess' twin brother Jolon must have awakened from the deep sleep in his prison within the earth, which meant this was a part of a vile scheme to once again rule the world and make it a place of Darkness and Destruction.
"My Goddess..." Lia said again, but this time her eyes widened and her tone dropped to almost a whisper. Their beautiful Mother, the Goddess of Light, Ayana, might also be mortal and in incredible danger.

Craig suddenly stopped walking, his jaw dropped slightly, "well done young sister, i didn't think that for a moment, caught up in the worry of our brother, I will try and check...". Craig knew his powers where all but evaporated, but while he still retained his physical form, and his ability to speak with animals; call them at least, he gently knelt, and pushed his massive hands into the ground. Craig was instantly saddened, he could not feel the earth beneath him, even with his fingers deep in it, the soil lacked the flow of life and connection that he felt, "I cannot feel anything, nor able to check the statues of his imprisonment, this is truly foreboding".

It is definitely unsettling... but honestly who else could have done this... let us find brother then we can act from there...

As they grew closer the sky grew darker and the breeze blew warm with the tangy bitter scent of smoke. Lia's stomach turned but she held hope that maybe they would get there in time. Her thoughts rolled with the prospect of their world being in as great of danger as it was if what they thought was really happening. It crossed her mind briefly that her skin was beginning to feel dry and itchy, this mortal stuff sucked.
It was then that the flames became visible in the forest and Craig slowed.
"Do you guys see anything unusual, because none of us can just walk through a forest fire without a second thought, not anymore anyways."
