WTF growlanser!!?

I loved growlanser 2&3, they were great stratagy games. and i spent a year looking for part V, since part IV never hit the u.s. finally i get part V, and it plays like ffXII WTF!? maybe i'm set in my ways but when a series has its own reveloutionary feel, I cant stand when it changes like that! i was wondering if anyone else shares in this irritation in gaming?

I know what you mean, pal; even though this is not an RPG, Nintendo screwed up the Mario Party series where it used to be competitive board game series and when they made the recent 9th game, it became far different from the previous games where the players would more often team up with each other and fight "bosses" in the freakin' board games!

that is odd, maybe they're trying to copy dokapon now? but yeah, companies should keep a series, playing the same, branch offs can be an acception, like crissis core ffvii. its not from the primary series... i hate ffxi-on

Who could blame ya? The stories for the later games in the series are becoming more and more mind-screwy! The Final Fantasy XIII sub-series is the ultimate king of mind-screws, especially XIII-2 in particular! The Final Fantasy games were about fantasy and kingdoms and stuff and now it's all about wangsty characters with aircrafts that turn into mechanical dragons and guns that turn into swords and bows that turn into annoying cute cat-thingies!
