Hollywood Burnout I'm not even sure if anyone uses this guild any more, but the other day I got an email in my inbox from Fall Out Boy (I guess I signed up for newsletters some time in the past) and I was delighted to read that the band has a new single out now, and a new album coming out in May... annnnd a new tour as well! The hiatus is over, and we are going to get an ear-load of new FOB music!! The single is called "My songs know what you did in the dark (light 'em up)" It's interesting. I've listened to it about 5 or 6 times now, and I enjoy it more each time, though it didn't particularly strike my fancy on the fist listen. What are your thoughts on this? Though honestly I doubt anyone will even see this...
I just have to say that I'm so extremely excited about the new album and the the tour! I was unable to get tickets (They sold out in so many of the areas within the first TEN MINUTES!!! Lots of FOB love! ) but I'm still going to one of the concerts hoping that there will be scalpers. I will definitely be finding the new single and giving it a listen!
I would love to still use this guild and restore it to its former glory (well...I thought it was glorious!) 3nodding

As bad as it sounds, I am not as excited as I hoped to be. I am glad they are perusing music together again but i really didnt mind Patrick's Solo Career, Or the Dammed things....no offense to Pete but i didnt like bl4ckc4rds. just not my thing. I remember reading this blog about how Patrick was becoming a drunk and lonely his most recent tour and was kinda upsetting to read at first. I hope that having the guys to tour with. and his recent wedding lifts his spirits. I always looked up to him

I always looked up to him I have to agree with you- Pat's solo stuff was pretty intresting, and I love Spotlight (oh Nostalgia) and The Damned things are effing awesome. I do hope they put out another record, because I -still- can't stop rocking out to ironiclast. I was unaware of Patrick's drinking and/or depression, so that sucks to hear, but I echo your sentiment: I hope being with the guys on a wicked tour will lift his spirits! I'm interested to observe, and see how things go.
