Thomas made it in the dinning room right before Kio came in leading Jester who had his eyes closed. Thomas had a huge grin on his face and could barely contain himself as he stood there trying not to giggle and failing miserably. The bear had been a large one and the cushion was 48 inches in diameter....plenty of room for Jester to curl up on, lay out on, pounch on and all that. Thomas had also treated the fur so it was soft.
Thomas was so excited that waves of excitment were sent from his little frame in waves. Everyone in the house could feel it. Kio smiled at the boy's excitment before he kissed Jester on the cheek and whispered, "Open your eyes."
Thomas looked at Jester with hopeful eyes as he mentally wondered if Jester like the pillow or not.
The cook came by with a tray of pitchers with various drinks in it. He saw the man sitting in the sitting room and detoured over to him. "I take it you've been helped?" The cook asked making sure their house guest hadn't been forgotten. "I'll make sure to remind him you are here. The master is giving his pet a present this morning. With all the excitment, I'll remind him."
The cook gave him a nod before leaving and going to the next room where everyone else was. He saw the pillow too and smiled. It was Thomas' best work and he had to admit he was alittle jealous....but he was just the cook and not the pet.
"Do....do you like it, Jester?" Thomas asked.
