You are the first generation. (For gameboy). At first they started with 'Red' and 'Green', but soon published 'Blue' to ad more colour to it. After the huge success they published the special version called 'yellow'. (The yellow bases more of the actual anime series.)
The game bases on a world of Kanto where our hero travels. (However the name of the world was published only in Green version and the name was lost while translated to English)
In this game a hero travels all around the area and seeks out to beat his old rival ___ (In anime he is Gary). The game also introduces the famous badguy group called 'Team Rocket'. This became the guideliner to rest of the games and is probobly the most memorable pokemon generation ever!
