The longer Emille stared at him, the paler Ethan's face got. He stayed smiling for the sake of being polite, but his eyes and closed to become bold lines, and a comically large bead of sweat rolled down the side of his head. Was... Was there something on his face? He lifted a hand to poke around his face when the other looked away, and when the other looked back he quickly dropped his hand.
"Huh? Oh, well..." Ethan glanced at the ground nervously. His shadow flickered for a second, like a candle, making him bite his lip. "I should probably get going, actually. I, uh, let's just say a lot of people don't like being around me." he murmured and looked at Emille. He should've left sooner, really.

Emille blinked and his expression turned...hurt? "You have to leave already?" he said, his voice starting from a small hush but eventually growing to where Ethan could hear him. "You make good company. I don't see why people wouldn't like to be around you..." As he talked, Emille couldn't help but think that it was his fault for making Ethan feel like he had to leave. He did not want to make the other feel uncomfortable. "Well, if you have to leave, thank you for spending this short time with me. You're the first person I met since I got down here so...thanks." His bangs fell in front of his eyes and he brushed them back just a little.

Ethan stiffened as hair fell over Emille's eyes, which he was assured showed sadness. Crap, he didn't mean to upset him! He just wanted to get out before bad luck affected this kind person! Nngh, maybe him leaving was bad luck in it's own way.
Chewing on his bottom lip, Ethan's clear blue eyes looked over his shoulder for a second then back at Emille. "Well... I guess I could stay for a little longer." he mumbled while awkwardly scratching his cheek. "Umm... S-So you're new here? Where are you from?" he asked, trying to make small take for the sake of banishing the awkward silence lurking around.

Emille blinked when Ethan said that he would stay longer. His head went down to hide his smile before he brought it back up while clearing his throat. "I come from a small part of France, but it was close to Paris" he said, his eyes shining a bit. "What about you? Where do you hail from?" I can't believe he's going to stay! Even after I made him feel slightly uncomfortable! Emille though to himself as he smiled mentally. Maybe we can actually get somewhere with all this talking...

"France, huh? That's pretty fancy." Ethan noted while swishing his orange juice around. Hmm, he was starting to run low. Another glass then he'd go home. This time for sure! Noticing that it was his turn to speak, the brunette blinked then gushed, "Oh, uh, I'm not from anywhere fancy. I'm actually from a small town in Texas, it's called Big Spring. You ever been to Texas?"

Emille blinked and tilted his head to the side slightly. He began to tap his chin. "I...don't believe I've ever been to Texas, let alone heard of it" he responded, mumbling the last part to himself since he didn't want to be rude. "But I'll place it on my list of places to visit!" Emille smiled and took the last sip of his drink before placing the empty glass down. "You see, I wish to travel everywhere so that I can learn more about the people around me! I mean, it may seem like a silly idea...but you never know when you're going to end up somewhere you've never been before and-" It didn't take long before Emille found himself ranting on and on. He stopped shortly and his face went red before he scratched his cheek. "Désolé, désolé!" he said with a slight nervous chuckle. "I didn't mean to ramble"

Instead of a dull reply or any sign of irritation, Ethan laughed heartily. "It's okay, I get it." he assured. "I'm pretty surprised, though. Usually when people think of the US they think of Texas since it's so big. Er, well that or New York. Or Hollywood. Or... other places. Anyways, I'm sure you'd like it. Who knows, maybe someday you'll get to visit my hometown." he beamed. "So, uh, that thing you said. Des... olay? Des-olay? Did I say that right? What does it mean?"

Emille giggled as Ethan tried to pronounce the word. "Désolé~" he said, tilting his head to the side slightly. "It means 'sorry'." Emille folded his hands and pressed them under his chin as he placed his elbows on the table and gazed at the other. "I've been to New York before, but that was a time ago. As for Hollywood...only for one premiere. But Texas just sounds very interesting since I've never been there before. I hope I get to visit your hometown!" he said as he smiled at Ethan. "It sounds like it would be a wonderful trip!"

Again the brunette laughed. "You're giving Texas a little too much credit there." he said while shaking his hands lightly. "It's nothing more than a giant desert. Hot as fire, even during the winter. The only difference between Texas and a desert is the barbeque." he smiled brightly. "You ever had barbeque?"

Emille blinked as he tapped his chin, his eyes rolling up to the ceiling. "Barbeque...barbeque...bar-be-qu-e" he mumbled as he tapped his chin before shaking his head with a nervous chuckle. "I can not say that I've ever had a barbeque before. What is it?"

"Only one of the best things in the world! I-If you're not a vegetarian, that is." Ethan said with a wide smile. "It's meat - lots and lots of meat - that's been put on a grill and heated up. There's tons of ways to change it, too! You can put mesquite wood on the grill, charcoal, even propane. Then there's your choice of meat, and that ranges from sausage to T-bone steaks. I'll cook some for you sometime." he laughed.
A moment passed and Ethan got his cell phone and looked at the time. Wow, it was almost five! Time was flying! Usually he didn't stay in one place for too long, but he found himself not wanting to leave Emille. It'd been so long since he actually chatted with someone, it was nice. "Hey, uh, I have to go, but why don't we exchange phone numbers? It was pretty fun hanging out with you, I wouldn't mind doing it again." he smiled.

Emillie blinked as Ethan shared what the barbeque was like, his mind wrapping around the concept. "Interesting," he mumbled before clapping. "I would love to give your cooking a try, Ethan!" Emille blinked as Ethan recalled the time before pulling out his phone and checking the time. "Oh mon dieu! You're correct!" he said, chuckling at the end. "This was a wonderful time, Ethan." Reaching into his pocket, Emille pulled out a piece of paper and proceeded to write down his phone number before handing it to Ethan. "There you go~" he said with a smile.
