disk repair didn't work, and window cleaner helped somewhat but metal polish? never heard of that method 0.o granted I probably can't afford it

Here's how to do it with Brasso; (According to the comments Brasso isn't a safe polish to use on CD's anymore, but hey if you have no other options why not try it?)
