Swallowtail was calm, standing next to her leader. Her eyes were cold and direct. The deputy was a bit confused about the situation. What had really happened at the patrol? Were Kindlestar's accusations true? Her claws were unsheathed and her tail waved back and forth. She twitched her whiskers and kept silent.

"It's still true. I would never do anything unless it was for the good of my clan," Cursedstar looked down to her paws and closed her eyes. She took a heavy breath of air and sighed, anger and fear tainting the air. Cursedstar looked up again and calmly stared into Kindlestar's eyes. "Take me to where this happened. And I'll need full details on when you found the apprentice too. Swallowtail come with me." She turned and looked at her deputy. "I can't have something like this effecting my Clan."

Withefire skirted a wide circle around the FireClan patrol. I swear I'll teach him a lesson he'll never forget... He parted his jaws and tried to find the kits scent between all of the FireClan scent.

Dawnlight snarled and rushed to Kindlestar.

"This is obviously a trap. They wish to ambush us."

Kindlestar's eyes were still on Cursedstar's, and she saw a glimmer of confusion in them, one that desperately wished to know the answers to what was happening now.

"No, it isn't..." she responded simply. "Gather your team. You were the one who suffered the attack. You know better than anyone else where he was killed. You and Thrushpaw both."

She then turned to Cursedstar and nodded. "We will take you to where the bloodshed occurred. I'm placing my trust in you once again, Cursedstar. Don't make me regret it," she stated, no threat in her voice, more like a silent pleading that she proved the other Clan's perception of PebbleClan and their leader wrong.

Sharpclaw looked at her leader then over at Dawnlight.Then she looked at the pebbleclan cats.

Thrushpaw walked up to Dawnlight, his tail swishing in agitation. "No need to gather me, I'm here..." He shot a look that was both malicious and confused at Cursedstar. This just seemed odd to the apprentice. Why was Cursedstar playing dumb? Surely she knew what her clan was up to, right?

Dawnlight sneered, his face contorted with anger, but he didn't dare disobey, especially on enemy territory. His shoulders tensed up, and he looked at the entrance to the PebbleClan camp. "Alright then. But I'm keeping my eyes open. I don't trust them," he snarled, his eyes on the dark leader.

Turning around, he flicked his tail and led his own party out, his tabby fur on end, looking like the flames that seemed to be devouring his insides as rage consumed him.

Kindlestar nodded and followed, motioning for her own party and Cursedstar's to follow, her yellow eyes glinting as she scanned the camp, trying to see any guilty faces, before heading out through the entrance.

Cursedstar shook her head, I can't believe they really think we would do something like that... she leaped down from the rock and padded up until she was walking next to Kindlestar. "I don't know why you would accuse my Clan of something so horrible... You're not normally like this Kindlestar. You usually try to find the truth before you go clawing another cats ears! Are you okay?"

Swallowtail's eyes widened when her leader questioned Kindlestar. What's going on? Is Cursedstar playing the FireClan leader like a drum?
She was wondering only what her leader's plan was. What would they do? Did someone really do what Kindlestar accused them of? If not, then who - or what - did?
The deputy walked alongside her leader still, glancing at her for a quick moment before turning to follow the cats to the scene once more.

Kindlestar heard Cursedstar's question, and she sighed, the memory of the message given to her by StarClan moons ago burning deep into her mind once more. Shaking her head, she blinked and stared into the eyes of the other leader. "The rising sun took the life of one of our own," she answered simply.

There were only two cats who would have understood the words that came out of Kindlestar's mouth, and neither of them had attended the attack party, guarding the camp in case of an attack, as FireClan was fearing the worst.

"Here it was," Dawnlight snarled, as they arrived the place where they had been attacked. Rain had not fallen the day before, and as Dawnlight paced himself around the place of the attack, he saw grass where smears of Sparrowpaw's blood still resided. "We have brought you to the place of the attack, Cursedstar. Now what? You think you can talk us out of it? There is blood still here, and we have an apprentice that now walks with StarClan," he growled, his fur on end, his anger obvious, as despite his big talk and arrogant demeanor, Dawnlight was known for his soft spot for the young of the Clan.

The fur that had flattened at the peaceful departure from the camp, now raised on Whisperheart's pelt at the sight of the blood of the young apprentice. His smell was familiar, as she had shared the den with him for a time, and sat at his body for part of her silent vigil the night before. Her whiskers quivered, but she tried to calm herself. She didn't want to look too hostile, if this could be resolved peacefully, like Kindlestar seemed to want it to be, she didn't want to look like she wanted a fight or was going against her leader.

Cursedstar narrowed her eyes at the spot where the FireClan apprentice's blood was staining the grass. She glanced at Swallowtail slightly, warning her to be ready incase any of the FireClan cats lost their control. Cursedstar paced forward and circled the area, breathing slowly. I swear there's something wierd about this... WAIT! the grey she-cat stopped and scented the air. There it is! She carefully followed the slight whisp of scent to a rock that was covered with ferns and ivy. Cursedstar grinned. "It wasn't PebbleClan that killed your apprentice... it was rogues!"

((Warstorm isn't with Dawnlight's group. He stayed to guard the camp. The cats here are Kindlestar, Sharpclaw, Whisperheart, Dawnlight, Sleetfur and Thrushpaw.))

Dawnlight's lips raised in a snarl, his teeth clenched tightly as he swished his tail in anger. "You dare ridicule us? The scent was without a doubt PebbleClan!" he accused, hatred in his voice. "With your reputation, I wouldn't doubt if you sent the attack yourself!"

Kindlestar's yellow glare landed on Dawnlight. "That's enough out of you. I am ashamed of you, Dawnlight. I never thought you were the type to listen to idle gossip from other Clans."

This said, Kindlestar turned her attention towards Cursedstar. "What do you mean, rogues?" she asked, her voice demanding an explanation, as she could only smell PebbleClan, same as Dawnlight.

Swallowtail eyed the scene. "Rogues?" she murmured curiously. It probably was, as she and Cursedstar hadn't ordered anyone to kill, much less attack another clan. If it truly was PebbleClan's fault, she knew nothing of it. That cat would have to speak up for themselves.
