Finally Featherwing could see the black and white pelt of the tiny kit, "Hazelkit!" She yelled as she came to a stop next to her clanmate. "Why in Starclan's name are you doing out here?" Featherwing was so happy to find her, but also very mad. "You scared the living daylights out of your mother!" Before Hazelkit could anwser the long haired, gray she-cat picked up the tiny kit by the scruff and walked back up the river.
Once to the same place she had cross, "Okay, we're going to jump across." She said around a mouth full of fur and lept across, Featherwings back paws touched the ice cold water, but made it on the shore. "Okay, you can walk from here." She set Hazelkit down and the slowly walked back to camp.

Shadowice was still trying to comfort Nightstorm. "dont worry Nightstorm, im sure Featherwing found your kit and is almost neer our camp." she wasnt just trying to convince Nightstorm, she was also trying to convince herself as well. she looked at the camp entrance seeing Featherwing with Hazelkit walking next to her. "Hazlekit!" Nightstorm dashed to her kit licking her desperatly. Shadowice followed her and looked at the kit then to Featherwing. "were did you find her Featherwing?" asked Shadowice.

"I guess she tried to jump the river, but missed and got swept down stream." Featherwing meowed and looked at Nightwing. "She's not hurt, just tired and hungery."

Leafwind watched as Featherwing brought back Hazelkit. Leafwind sighed. She wanted to be PebbleClan's deputy, but she also wanted to have kits. It was such a hard decision!

On the other side of camp, Sagewish was helping Icepaw clean out a hole in the rocks that could be her den. "Thanks Sagewish." Icepaw said. "This sure is different than WoodClan, but I guess I'll get used to it." Sagewish nodded. "I know what you mean. I'm not used to seeing the sun all the time, it's so different than MoonClan. Plus you guys are all from different Clans, but I guess if StarClan wanted Cursedstar to make it from all the different clans, then that's what she did. So here we are."

Out of camp, Moondust was trying to figure out a new method of hunting, along with Talonfoot, a tom from FireClan, and her brother Oakwhisker. "What's taking so long?" Talonfoot yawned, obviously bored. "SH!!" Moondust hissed. "I'm trying to catch that mouse." Slowly, Moondust crept forward like she would have back in MoonClan territory. But the loose rocks made loud noises as she scattered them, and the mouse quickly dove for cover. Moondust hissed in frustration. Would she ever learn to hunt in this new territory?

Meanwhile, Oakwhisker was busy trying to figure out a way to hunt without making all the loose rocks clatter. "Let me try," Talonfoot said, and quickly targeted a shrew under a tree. Using his speed, Talonfoot ran and tried to catch the shrew, but the loose rocks made him slip. Oakwhisker couldnt help but laugh. Talonfoot hissed and pounced on him, and the two toms fought.

((I'm going to say that Featherwing was a rouge and lived in a cave in the rocky terrian of Pebbleclan...so she knows how to hunt in it...))

"Featherwing!" Bridpaw called and walked over to her mentor and mother. "Where did you go?"
"Hazelkit wondered out of camp, I went to go find her." Featherwing meowed and looked at her daughter. "Do you want to go hunting?" Birdpaw's tail shot up at the mention of hunting. Featherwing laughed and they walked out of camp.

Out in the open air Featherwing walked over to a pool of watery mud. She jumped in and rolled around, Birdpaw did the same. Featherwing's long fur clung to her side in clumps. "Come on, lets go over to Moondust, Oakwisker, and Talonfoot. We'll show them how to hunt," She meowed and walked over to the group of cats. She had grown up in this small terrain and learned how to hunt from her mother. "Hey, Moondust." Featherwing meowed, Birdpaw stared at Oakwisker and Talonfoot rolling around.
"You stupid mouse-brained furballs, your going to scare all the prey away." She hissed and looked up as a shadow passed over them, it was a crow.

The crow circled around something then dove, heading for a mouse. Birdpaw crouched and waited, the crow swoped and caught the mouse. As soon as the black bird touched the ground Birdpaw leaped and landed on the birds back, Featherwing not far behind. They brought the crow down and killed it.

"No, I wasn't trying to cross the river!" countered Hazelkit, "It was... calling me. I don't know how to explain it. But I didn't just go crashing off the edge!" she defended. Never, ever would she admit that she was attracted by the shinyness. She pouted as Featherwing walked away. Now she must explain to her mother. "What were you doing out of camp? You are five moons old, not six." Nightwing said with poison pacians(sp?). "I was... searching for catmint!" concluded Hazelkit," Because I wanna be a medicen cat when I'm an apprentice." "Well, Cursedstar has the right mind to make you an apprentice one moon later than everyone else..." trailed Nightwing
*A few minutes later, after Nightwing's rant about responsibility...*
Hazelkit sat happily beneath her furious mother, completely oblivious of her anger. "I caughted a mouse!" she purred, "But then this old white cat stole it. I'm reealy hungry!" she complained. Nightwing sighed.

Moondust watched as Featherwing and Birdpaw brought down a crow. Talon and Oakwhisker had broken up their little squabble and were now sitting away from each other, Oakwhisker licking his chest fur in embarrassment and Talon licking a scratch on his paw. "That was amazing!" Moondust complimented. "How did you learn to do that?"

Cursedstar sat in front of her den and sighed. "Kits will be kits won't they..." She murmured to herself. She took a deep breath and leaped down to confront Hazelkit. "What good do you think it would be to the Clan if we had one less kit?" She shook her head and sighed. "I might make you medicien cat. But the way you are acting I'd say your three moons ahead of your self." Cursedstar laughed as a look of horror crossed Hazelkit's face. "Don't worry. I don't want to keep a restless kit in camp! You'll just have to be in charge of clearing out the beding in the whole Clan for a moon after your apprenticeship.

(She's so calm it's scary O_o)

NO! Hazelkit desperatly thought, her tail drooping so low it hurt. "Well," she began, "If there was one less kit there would be one less warrior..." Cursedstar nodded encouragingly, "But the entire clan?? All by myself?" moaned Hazelkit. "At least I will be an apprentice at all." She suddenly brightened "And I'll get to see the warriors den! And hear about their adventures! And-" Hazelkit ranted, stopping at once when she saw the amused look on Cursedstar's face. "I'll... just... go now!" she mewed, embarrassedly as she scampered back into the nursery. "Wow, I actually got to speak to Cursedstar! In person! Every kit will be jelous of me..." the kit said smugly.

Featherwing looked back at Moondust, "I grew up here, not to far away." The gray she-cat meowed and looked at her daughter. "So did Birdpaw." Featherwing grabbed the crow by the wing and dragged it back to Talonfoot. "Here, take this back to camp, then I can teach you guys how to hunt, better."

Hazelkit watched in wonder as Featherwing, Oakwhisker, Talonfoot and Birdpaw caught the prey. "Someday I can do that do!" she whispered in awe. Then she remembered what had happened with the white cat. "Aw, who am I kidding. He was right, if I can't trust an old tom I won't have the guts to be a warrior. I would probibly run away from a squirrel." she murmered. Soon she fell into a dream.

Hazelkit was romping around in a meadow, a strange place for a mountain cat to be. Strange new animals floated around with her, running playfully from the kit. Then a strange cat stepped forward from the evergreen trees surrounding this meadow. "Hello dear Hazelkit. We are glad you came to us." Hazelkit was afraid inside. Who were these hazy and stary cats? "You have come to Starclan. We welcome you." "NO!!!!!!! DO YOU MEAN I AM DEAD? I CAN'T BE!!!!!!!!!!! I NEVER EVEN GOT TO BE A WARRIOR!" screamed Hazelkit, buring her head in her black paws. The Starclan warrior chuckled, saying "No, dear kit, you are still alive. I know this must be strange for you, but you are experiancing a dream from Starclan." Hazelkits white whiskers twitched as she contemplated the cats words. "But Starclan only contacts leaders and medicen cats with dreams! I think you have the wrong cat..." Hazelkit meowed slowly. The starry cat said once agian, "No kit! You are the right cat. But enough of this. We have a message for you. You must tell your leader once you wake up. Immediatly." The Starclan warrior shot back into the forest as a new, younger looking cream colored cat emerged. "Hello Hazelkit. Soon to be Hazelpaw. I was once a medicen cat, with dreams like yours. I cannot tell you from which clan I am from. I have an important and strange message for you. Listen carefully, dear one...

The river runs, stained with blood
The dirt is a tomb
Even the birds will fly
As the earth gives revenge.

Now go, Hazelkit, warn your clan, if you want to survive." Chanted the cream cat. "wait,'' Hazelkit cried, "I don't understand!" But the starclan cats were gone.

Hazelkit woke up in a start, the light still filtering in. She dashed outside and asked Nightwing, "How long was I asleep!?!" "Only a few minutes dear. Why, you look spooked?" Responded Nightwing. "I-I had a dream from starclan..." Hazelkit trailed, "And I need to find Cursedstar right away!"

Cursedstar slept quietly in her den, her chest softly rising and falling in a steady rythem. Hazelkit ran up to Cursedstar's den and stoppedc panting. "Cursedstar!!! I need to speak with you!!!" came an impatient voice from outside. The Grey she-cat sighed and sat up slightly still slightly dazy from sleep. "Yes, Hazelkit? Come in, please."

Hazelkit was still breathless as Cursedstar looked expectantly at her. "I had a dream from Starclan!" she panted. "They told me to tell you this- but I don't know what it means!

Hazelkit stood there in the entrance to the den, her fur spiked up on end and eyes wide as Cursedstar mulled over her words. "Now are you sure it was from Starclan, and not just a kit dream?" questioned Cursedstar. Hazelkit nodded. "They told me that I was in Starclan, and I thought I was dead." Hazelkits eyes grew wide as she spoke. "And there was this cream colored cat that said she was a medicen cat and she couldn't tell me which clan she was in. And, well... they told me that I was having a dream from Starclan, so I was, wasn't I?" concluded Hazelkit. She waited to see what Cursedstar would do.
