I suggest using a different house as a quick test to see if it keeps happening.

Planning on it. Just gotta get me a new husband. Note: it doesn't happen immediately, which bugs me even more. I had my last husband for a few weeks, then POOF. So I may not get immediate answers. But good idea.

Update: I got married again, this time in my house in Bowerstone Market. After a while I got bored, and decided to marry again. I picked a guy, took him to the Homestead, and married him. When I returned to my wife, she left. I guess this is the direct result of me getting married again, but I don't really get how she knew about it, since I waited to give him the ring when I was at the Homestead. >.< Sorry, my boredom interfered with the experiment.
Update Again:
It's not just the house. I married a guy in Bowerstone, and he left me without explanation. I think I may just start a new game. >.<

The best way to get past the "Out of the Map" glitch is to fast travel to another location. Should work pretty much every time.

^^ I thought there was no way out in the Cursed Skull Once your in you have to finish

nope, you should be able to use a previous item (snowglobe) to get out or just qucktravel

Well after knowing this, I feel pretty stupid starting a New Game redface

I got a contract from the Assassin's Guild to kill my wife. I did, but I can't turn the contract in. On top of that, I still have my 2 kids, who still "love" me, but call the guards for killing 'mommy dearest'. Such is the life of a hero...

Not that it matters, I've all but abandoned that specific hero.

If anyone has cared to read my previous posts, I'm still having that issue. I have confirmed that no matter who I marry, male or female, they will leave me, whether or not I put them in the Homestead. Their common line is "I don't deserve to be treated like this, I'm leaving and never coming back!"

Am I just screwed?

When I went to Winter Lodge the second time, the house was invisible.

There were chests and drawers floating in the air, and when I entered it, I got pushed through the floor and fell, and fell, and fell, until I reloaded.

My husband drowned. O_o. I went to the lake with him and he wandered away. I looked over my shoulder and he was standing on the water. HE"S JESUS! xd
