during the winter outside with my goats, during the summer, during the day if I read, than in the garden or my room (Depends on when I start reading, if I don't make it out of my room...) because flies start appearing in the summer, I couldn't care less about the heat. and at night i'll read either in the barn or in my room.

I like Miku shisou's answer, that's exactly how it is. When I'm reading a book , I couldn't care if I was laying on a bed of glass lol.

I love reading by an open fire, but that's silly during the Summer! ^^
So I'll read on my bed, or on my soft couch. Mostly I read at the dining table, or outside on my deck.

I wish my parents would someday build me my own little house in the yard where its my zone and they arent allowed to disturb me. Then I would decorate it in soft pillows and soft blankets a book shelf and a small couch. But I mostly read in my room. biggrin
So usually I just relax into a chair with a book to read or I setlle down into a chair with my laptop and I work on my book.. So Im comfortable just about anywhere. Although I wish my parents would let me go to the library alone and just read or give me some alone time and not barge into my room not caring that I put in huge sparkling letters "Please Knock!" on my door. on my bed, with the door locked and very soft instrumental playing
or

in dead silence (when I say that I literally mean it, no birds, no squealing, no doors creaking, no sound, but the rustling pages and my breathing, I can't really stop those.. so)

the lighting has to be by sunlight otherwise my eyes go weird in artificial lighting if I'm reading for hours on end.

Also, outside propped against the brick wall, sitting on the cool ground with a book.. very nice.

And possibly in the library too, although when ever I'm in one, its not quite at all! There's always noise, from kids, to computers/scanning to ruffling sounds...

In the bathtub is actually a nice place until you get prune-y. Otherwise, I just lay on the floor.
When I read The Devil's Highway, I read it outside in the summer heat. The environment really helped me get into character and understand the book.
