||- True... Stupid Hare! Heeheheh.... i amuse myself. -||

Cupid slowed down to the most silent he could keep his paws and held his breath. He watched the ground careful of anything that might trigger a sound for he knew she would pick it up with ease.
He watched her passing in the stream and smirked still unbreathing. As he sped up when he was about ear shot of her.
"Eat that miss Renae..." he hissed quietly to himself as he starting sprinting again.

||- Am i off to Rivers & Waterfalls? -||

((Don't we all?))
Renae smiled and looked out of the corner of her eye, "Much better." she said to herself quietly as she pressed her front foot forward and took a leap into the air behind him. She smirked and huffed only once as she gracefully ran to the waterfalls without any other sense of distraction, keeping her distance behind cupid fairly small as she made a quick recovery from her previous mistake. Her body moved gracefully, avoiding rocks and shards of glass as the stream slowly deepened as they neared the waterfall. her silvery hair had beads of water attached to it, making her seem almost as if she sparkled for some odd reason.

((Yeah, that'd be about right. meet up with you there))

A shadowy onlooker watched the two with a keen eye, gathering as much information he could about them, simply from the way that they moved.
-Do they know each other?- Daichi questioned to himself within the deep recesses of his mind. -Somewhat...- He could tell simply by the way that they moved about each other with only hints the inquisitiveness and curiousity of new aqquaintances. -Should I go and meet them?- he thought. -No. I don't know any wolves that reside within this territory. They will most likely come to me, eventually...- he thought , the water splashing around the rock he sat on, and the droplets of water high as his head caught the sun, spakling like delicate, intricate diamonds, each one unique, and then crashed into the water below, becoming once again part of the body of water to carry it to seas and rivers and lakes beyond.

Sunrise.
Devendra hadn't rested since he first found himself at the foot of the forest. That was the day before. Now, after long hours of trekking through the tangling roots of the trees, he approached the clearing, feeling content. The section of tree-less land brought upon a feeling of innocence.
This is the first moment he felt welcomed in these parts.
Devendra walked over to the clearing and collapsed casually. He inhaled the raw scent of grass and earth. Serenity. Finally, he can rest.

Resting had always been difficult for this young male. Ever since he could remember-- since the day he was abandoned as a child-- he felt the need to always be alert. Paranoia, some may call. But he had grown familiar with one fact of wildlife; danger resides everywhere. The clearing suddenly felt too open. Too much of a target.
Devendra rolled over to his belly, his head still rested against the green grass. The hair of the earth.
He listened sleepily to the sounds of the forest. The flutter of feathered wings. Leaves dancing in the spring air. He listened deeper; the discreet scratches of squirrels climbing through trees, the conversations of different insects that lived in the wood and earth beneath him. All seemed well as of yet. Still.. not a bad idea to be cautious.
Devendra considered himself to have no one. He once had a good friend far away; an older wolf who had taught him many unique methods of survival, and who had spent long hours conversing with him of numerous topics. At that time, Devendra felt he had family; this wolf felt like a relative to him.
One wintery night, the two found themselves confronted by something in the shadows. A beast of some sort. His friend died that night, and Devendra was left with a scar hidden under the mane of his neck. It was never clear to him what the creature was.
His friend had taught him one last lesson then; life is unpredictable, danger lurks all around
