With a nod, Nithis excused himself. Honestly, the hunger was more of an excuse to chase that scent he caught earlier... but it was all the same now that the king didn't mind what he did. He was hungry, however, and if they would be returning back to the kingdom of the immortals again... he would need sustenance for that trip, yet again.

After he put some distance between himself and the group, Nithis took on his wolf form, always preferring it when hunting. His paws sank deeply into the soil, spreading his toes to get a firmer feel of the ground; it sent his senses ablaze, scent filling his muzzle deeply. Finding the direction of his target, Nithis sent off quickly, disappearing quickly into woods.

As the tune rang out, Feirost smiled. A fine tune in which the Immortal King began to sing. His voice had the edge of a steel blade, and the softness of the snow which covered his home. The tone matched that of the lute expertly, and his closed. Ancient elven lyrics poured forth, and memories returned to him from his old life. Happiness coursed through him, and he became lost in the music, the fire changing from the demonic green to a calm yellow.

Rhiannon was quite taken aback by the voice that came from the King's lips. He sang beautifully. She didn't understand the words but that really didn't matter. Happily, her fingertips continued to dance over the double strings as she listened intently. She noticed he was settling into the music and she couldn't help but smile as the fire color changed. She had thought him calm and collected before but he was happy it seemed, especially from what he drew from to create the music.

Maybe it was the music that made him happy, since that was the way it made her feel especially when she played. There was no doubt that she liked to play music, especially with those who enjoyed it so much. Finally, Rhiannon's eyes closed as she settled into the tune.

Nithis came upon a clearing in the woods and he prowled cautiously around the perimeter of it, making certain to remain secluded. A large rock jutted out of the surface and it appeared to loom over a small valley, some ten feet deep and fifty feet in diameter. His nose led him well, for resting upon the rock was the target he sought; it was another of his kind, one he recalled as being a lowly omega for the pack. Silently, Nithis made a slow approach upon her, stopping only when his maw was mere inches from her neck and he loomed over here. From here, he could see into the valley, where he noticed a pack resting. With some interest, Nithis dipped his mouth to her ear and spoke with a firm tone.

"Myra... is that really you? Found yourself a pack, I see..."

The wolf beneath him obviously recognized the voice and smell, she attempted to jump up but was stopped by Nithis standing above her. Freaking out, she wiggled about, still trying to get out from under him. Giving up, she rolled onto her back and looked up at him pleadingly, her ears drawn back.

"N-nithis... I-uh-yes.... yes-I found another pack."

Myra pulled her paws out from beneath her, reaching them up to place on Nithis's chest. She flashed him a smile, which still appeared uneasy despite her best attempts to hide it; she even smelt of fear and it didn't take long for her pack to notice.

"I am the alphess of this pack... I was actually preparing to choose and alpha from the males below... but now you're here... we both know how strong you are..."

Her gentle pawing at him never phased his expression, which remained bemused.

"Yet you are on your back... before an alpha as you should be... but nevertheless, you still act like the omega you are..."

Leaning down, Nithis's fangs hovered at Myra's neck, pricking her flesh and drawing blood as he whispered.

"I wouldn't risk soiling my line with yours... I let you live so that you would be alone forever... to know your place as a lowly omega... you should really stop attracting packs to their deaths..."

Myra's eyes went wide and her voice hoarse from the surface damage of Nithis's teeth. Eyes open as they were, Nithis appeared to have vanished, the screams below alerting her to his location.

Nithis was upon the pack in a flash, leaping from target to target, ripping through their throats with his maw. The speed was hard to follow even for some of the most skilled and trained of his kind, certainly too fast for these sub omegas. He went after one target at a time, like a swarm of locusts feeding a creature dry before moving to the next. His white fur stained red; crimson fluid literally pouring from his frame.

The forest went silent as Myra's chest raced, she still lie paralyzed by fear on the rock. A slosh like sound broke her mind free as she backed up further to the ledge of the rock. Nithis appeared before her, soaked paws creating the noise as blood ripped from his fur onto her. She found no words, instead backing up further to avoid Nithis and the fluid that was now staining her fur. She backed up too far, however, reaching the edge of the rock and falling down in the valley below. She landed harshly on her shoulder, audibly breaking it. She attempted to stand but was overwhelmed by the scent, chaos, and pool around her; falling to the wet ground with a splash, her last sight, before blacking out, was that of Nithis turning on the rock to leave.

An hour or so since his departure, Nithis arrived back to the King and Rhiannon; his scent giving him away long before his appearance did. It had been rather easy to find them again, the sound of music luring him near. Nithis appeared satisfied, although something would seem strange; the amount of blood caking his fur was far too great for that of a normal hunt, unless the hunter took too much pleasure in the kill. Nevertheless, Nithis remained in his wolf form and sat at somewhat of a distance from them, licking at his maw.

"I apologize for not cleaning up... but I was intrigued by the music..."

As the song came to an end, Feirost smiled; a distant sorrowful smile, "No my wolf, it is fine," Taking a skin pouch, he drank and sighed after drinking the sweet drink, "Over three-hundred years it has been since I have sung. Three-hundred years since I came to be what I am today," Looking at Rhiannon, he nodded, placing a clawed hand on hers, "Do not let Ezra's misconceptions about me fool you. The way I act is because you are my children. If I lost any Immortal under my rule, then my heart would be broken. The Fey think us evil," Stopping, he leaned against a log, closing his eyes, "I will show them an evil they have never seen," With that, the King fell into sleep,

Three hundred years. Rhiannon could not fathom anyone not doing something for that long. She was quite confused to what the king said. He was sure Ezra didn't like what he said but she wasn't exactly sure what the king did to even make her own judgment. So considering her judgment was in the air she shrugged her shoulders. She did not understand why he was going to do a war. Honestly, war wasn't always the best way. He had dodged her question... Why did he want the Fey Queen? She looked down to the king and frowned as he slept. She would wait with him till he woke up. It was the only proper thing to do with anyone.

His wolf. Nodding towards Nithis, she cast him a smile. Not being around wolves, she only figured the amount of blood was normal. Palo wasn't feeling as comfortable with the wolf as before. He slipped his reins loose and trotted back. Rhiannon quickly stood and grasped for the reins.

"Palo!"

She spoke softly, finally grasping the reins but it didn't seem to steady the horse. He kept backing up, pulling up, Rhiannon stumbled forward. By now, she was a bit away from the two before Palo settled. He just wanted to be out of what he thought was 'leaping' range. Tugging the reins, Rhiannon gave his neck a rub with her palm.

"See... Now lets go back and rest. Let us wait for him to finish resting..."

Nithis's eyes flashed to the King's form as he lay for rest and, despite the lack of facial gesture, he seemed concerned. The noise from the horse caught his attention and he instinctively bore his teeth, barely stopping himself from growling. Looking to Rhiannon, Nithis motioned his neck towards the King.

"I will attract other wolves with my scent of blood... watch the King while I wash up. When I get back, you should rest too... I will hold watch until you both awake."

Without saying more, Nithis cleanly turned about in place and heading to the small lake not far away. Once there, he emerged himself in the water by jumping in. He held his breath for some time beneath the water, the blood being caked in his fur and requiring ample soaking to remove. Once clean, he trotted back over and sat in the same position he had before, as not to re-alert the horse. He nodded to Rhiannon, signaling that she should rest herself and recover from the long trip.

Rhiannon turned her attention to Nithis as he spoke to her. She was quite interested in the way the wolf acted. He was very sure of himself, that was quite certain. Nodding as he mentioned she should rest as soon as he returned. She quite agreed. Honestly she was growing tired. A little rest before she broke off from the two wouldn't be a bad idea.

Settling back down she curled herself up once more. Holding Palo's reins tighter than before. He hadn't acted so rashly as before as Nithis returned. The blood seemed to be gone at least to Rhiannon's eyes. The scent couldn't be that bad now so he was being meticulous about things. He was probably like that very often.

Resting her chin to her knees she took a deep breath and closed her eyes to fall into a light sleep.

Ezra had came upon the camp quietly. No sound or scent, his figure blended in with a shadows. He didn't put much effort into hiding himself, he knew the king would most likely sense him. As he came upon the dying fire, he sat down, across from the sleeping titan.
He twirled his throwing dagger between his fingers unconsiously and popped a mint leaf in his mouth. He turned to see Rhiannon sleeping and smirked. He decided to watch the camp for them as he waited for orders.
