moira let her arms fall like lead, her eyes harsh but for another reason. shoulders squared she limped over to her equipment, digging in the box for the necessary tool and spinning it around her finger. then she busily ignored the world in general, every now and then looking up to where rayne had gone and her eyes would harden again. soon her gaze was always that harsh, and resembled dangerously still dark pools of freezing water...or angularly harsh and unforgiving blue stones.
finishing the job with minimum movement on her part and within ten minutes on her suit, moira quickly ran schematics on her helmet as she looked in it on her lap. sighing sadly for one moment, a single tear fell before she closed her eyes "i FINALLY get a chance...and it's taken away. bastards..." she muttered angrily, her eyes shooting open and almost sparking with fire. her grip on the padding of the helmet tightened until it could be heard squeaking, and moira quickly put the suit back on. jogging with a limp back towards the hangar with the tools back in the box, moira entered the darkened building and requested permission for one of their fastest, slimmest, and deadliest aircrafts. she had asked for a missions before hand via a tekkie friend of hers working with admin so she had a legitimate reason. oddly enough, something about hunting down elites...
they didn't say which ones
getting it, the manager was hesitant until he saw that moira was stone serious, not excited in any way. then her gaze stopped him, intent enough to be felt through her blank visor. almost afraid, the manager yelled orders for the hangar to be cleared and opened as moira proudly strode to the aircraft, not showing the pain she felt from the wounds earlier, her anger and adrenaline carrying her through. doing the necessary connections, moira ignored the requests for accepting extra crew and damned well flew the thing all by her damned self, knowing the technical crap inside and out as well as knowing how to fly it loner to max efficiency...and how to bypass the electric and programmed restrictions. they were there to prevent what she was basically doing.
she was practically going rogue....
.....except within legal boundaries she wasn't breaking any regulations, except for the lone flying...
zooming over where rayne had been going, she contacted her superior on her helmet "wanna catch those bastards?" she asked coldly, her own emotion seemingly gone "i know you still hurt, even though you act all harsh....call it a gut instinct, damned empathy or a sensitive curse that i made work for me for technology....you need to bang it out on them" she said, doing a difficult maneuver that pretty much awed those watching her from the tower "look up...you going to join, or no?" she demanded as she got a radio message to stop wasting fuel being pretty...before the person cut off since she wasn't using any fuel...this was heard by rayne as well "not officially, but i am probably one of the best fliers here...intense intimate knowledge of the systems, you know..."
