Tech this just to give an idea Flag ships (RCC - Krasnaya zvezda - Red star)
These ships are the pride of each factions fleets. Boasting tremendous fire power and commanding size these ships dominate in their domain. All flag ships have a series of hangars that house Mechs, space fighters, Landing craft and transports. These ships are essentially flying fortresses. Note: the smaller the faction the smaller the flag ship lone wolfs will not have flag ships ex: bounty hunters, pirates, smugglers, ect. Mechs (UEF - Havoc class)
Mechs are extremely expensive so only the most elite and well funded factions would have them and even so they wouldn't have to many. Their are many variations of mechs and they are incredibly versatile making them very desirable as war machines against the Sairals and pirates alike. The RCC boast the most mechs but they are relatively cheap do to sacrificing quality for quantity wear the American empire has the least but the most advanced models. Once a mech is disconnected from its charging port a timer starts for the battery and once it runs out the Mech will be dead in the water and saving the last of its power for life sport, ejection if needed, and to send out a distress signal. Fighters (UOS - Interceptor)
Fighters are the most common attack craft and most numerous. Unlike mechs that can move freely in spce fighters still handle like jets do meaning they cant stop in mid flight they need to keep moving unless landing only custom fighters can mover freely in space and they coast twice as much as regular fighters. Shuttles (PPA - Jumper)
Shuttles are only armed with a single turret based on the bottom of the ship for defense. They can move vehicles, cargo, people what ever will fit inside it. Shuttles are the smallest vessel capable of performing a worm whole jump anything smaller than a transport cannot hold the systems required to make the worm hole. Shuttles are also able to exit and enter atmospheres of planets wear other ships bigger than itself cannot and would be ripped apart by it. Transports Sairal - Leacher http://homepage.mac.com/cheethorne/Starcraft/images/overlord.jpg Transports are much bigger than Shuttles and can carry entire platoons to other ships or to the surface of planets. They are heavily armored but lightly armed. The leacher isn't as big as other transports but it is a living creature that moved threw space like a jelly fish or a squid would. It can hold up to 100 Sairals in its stomach and it latches onto the hull of a ship. Once firmly attached it bores a hole into it with its mouth then the Sairals in its stomach pour our into the ship. But the Leacher earned it's name from feeding on the power of the ship it is attached to and it drains the power supply thou it would take many leachers to fully drain a single ship.
((I think that gets the less obvious stuff out of the way. . . ))
