THE PLOT
(this is an Alternative Reality/Alternative Universe verison Fruits Basket RP)
Akito decided that the reason that the Clan Cores always died so young was that every time a zodiac member Changed, it took a toll on the body of the Core member. The current members have been banished, therefore, to a land so distant that Akito believes that when they change it will not affect him. He believes that this will enable him to live a normal life and remove the constant sickiness that is the hallmark of a Core Member. To this end, he hired an Occidental (The Founder) to build and supply a settlement far from any known land or people. They are not to return to Japan, or even the known world...they have been denied by their god.
He gave the Founder only a small amount of the details but there are some things about Cassandra St. James that he doesn't know. And there are some things about some of his Zodiac that she knows or suspects that he's unaware of. She believes that in ancient days The Cat was stolen away from the WESTERN Zodiac and his power split to prevent his return to it. She thinks that were the white and black bracelet removed, that the power of the Cat would become ONE again if he's just left be and that the Eastern Zodiac would discover they had been mistreating LEO for generations. She thinks that the imbalance of having Leo as part of, but not in, the Eastern Zodiac is why the Clan Cores die young. And she intends to find out.
She also recognized the identity of the second form he bears when Akito had forced him to Change once to show her Kyo's true curse. She'd reassured Kyo and told Akito outright that he was a fool and an idiot. "That form is a GARGOYLE." She'd yelled. "A Gargoyle is a GUARDIAN, that's what they do, you moron!"
Akito had been outraged at her shouts but she'd reminded him sharply that SHE wasn't a Sohma and didn't owe him any worship of any kind. He had gaped at her and stalked off with an order to 'Get the thing built and you will be staying with them. They are not to return. When new ones are born in their turns, they will be sent to you."
But having seen Kyo take a form that is solidly WESTERN in type only made her more sure of her suspicions and increased her determination to get the whole lot of them away from the 'Moron in the Main House.'
