Vent thread - Let it all out

The reason my one brother wanted me to come back to do all that work is he wants to have thanksgiving at his house... which is 2 hours away. Now my sister wants it at hers, and now another brother wants it at his house... My youngest brother doesn't want to get involved so he is staying home for the holiday.

Personally, I don't care I feel the same way as my dad, as long as everyone is together we don't care where it happens.

This stupid argument, threatens to keep everyone apart this holiday... and the only one it will truly hurt is my father. sad

They should have drawn straws, shut the ******** up, and eat. After the eating, then they can go back to arguing like babies until Christmas. Then draw straws, shut the ******** up, and eat. Simple solution.

This world looks pretty, but is ugly because of the devil, sins, and the ways of life. Many people get down in sadness and can't see anything past that. We all see that darkness at some point. Some drink, and get drunk. Some use sex. Some smart ones use therapy. Some people use pain. But do any of us ever think about using God? A lot of times he gets pushed aside in our brains when really everything else should be pushed aside for God. It's time we stop pushing away God, to use sinning as "aides" to stop thinking about sinning. And actually use good things God allowed for us to use. The bible, Jesus, the blessing of therapy, family members, friends, pets. God can help in many ways. You just have to let him. Let him come to you! Let him heal you! Otherwise you are going to hurt yourself so deep, God can't help you because your soul will be so dark, that you don't want help. Believe, have Faith in God and the Trinity! Now is the time! Now is the time! Because no one knows when he's coming back to take us all home, and we want to be ready.

I have a hatred for the Christian/Jewish God,everything i tried to do,what i went through JUST TO MAKE IT HAPPY!!!!,i always tried to do whats right in the name of Yahweh >_

People are becoming so ******** RUDE..had to walk back home with a bunch of food,never once was i offered a ride,they just stared at me,as i struggled -.-...and i hate feeling like im not good enough for anything i feel like im NOT MORAL ENOUGH,i feel like im not at peace with myself..-.- idk..

Somehow it needs to get across to them that this holiday is about being thankful and appreciative for things in one's life. It's not just about "turkey".

Sometimes I envision myself as the antithesis of everything Ayn Rand argued for. Sometimes I find myself in complete opposition to her every postion.

but then...

there are those moments when I have to wonder. I mean, I don't really buy into the whole anti-compassion crusade. But sometimes I have to wonder if I go too far in... I mean I don't buy that people should live only for their own happiness and screw the rest. But maybe I oughtn't to be making my own happiness quite so low a priority. Maybe... Oh I don't know.

Maybe I just need to vent and then carry on. And I am blessed to have a vent thread here ready and available for just such a purpose. So there we are. smile

You could tell your brother that helping out with Thanksgiving is special to you and ask if he could give you something to do?

So, apparently, certain people, say that Thanksgiving is all about giving thanks to God and it was created to give thanks to God. Quick! Someone tell the Native Americans who helped the settlers that they were actually giving thanks to God! *insert mumblings about people ******** history cause they are stupid*
